AND from a woman’s perspective (!) including the menstruation factor that men just don’t understand or consider with these strict routines. We can feel like crap basically, super low energy, brain fog, pain, moods. Thanks for making this video!

@@creatinghanley Absolutely!! I just popped into the comments to say the same thing. Much of the research that concludes things like intermittent fasting and cold showers is good for you was done in men - there's emerging research suggesting women don't do too well with these, and that we need to take a different approach to look and feel our best :)

I think it's important to acknowledge that hubermans routine does not consider female hormone cycles or seasonal cycles.
Intermittent fasting, waking up early, and working out are not as beneficial for women on every day of their cycle.
Men cycle w the sun and women cycle with the moon. We don't reset to same baseline everyday. Our hormones and cycle syncing are incredibly interesting and beautiful.
The season are important too. Like you said, waking up at 6am in the winter months will be harder because your environment is more condusive to sleep. That's for a reason.
Huberman is such an admirable man, but he is still a man 😅
I loved this video. Taking the things that brought value and leaving or modifying the things that didnt. I needed that reminder.

@@blondie9909Unfortunately he probably won’t. He also wouldn’t understand it. It’s much better to get advice on productivity for women by women. I track my cycle very closely, I lean into my powerhouse days (yay follicular phase) and prep to rest during my luteal phase. I really do recommend a calendar, some fun stickers and pretty pens to track your moods and cycles. If apps work for you, that’s a good choice too. I like the visual representation that also helps me remember.

I would say that scientists rarely even claim those things. Newspapers, TH-camrs etc. say things like "science says xyz is good/bad", the scientific studies themselves deal with sample sizes, averages, medians, quantiles etc. Certain things don't even work for the majority of people, but as long as they work more often than a placebo, they are often regarded as a success. So there isn't even anything unscientific in realizing that certain things might not help you much, because in the study itself there were probably many people who didn't respond to the treatment/routine/supplement etc.

Normally I never comment on a video, but this video was really interesting! I liked the story, the editing and that you made it realistic for the average person. I am also surprised that you only have 10k subs, but sometimes it takes time for the algorithm to find the right audience (I am also struggling with that). Keep up the good work!

Your house is so clean. Everything is orderly. The interior decor is perfectly matched. Everything you wear perfectly matches your natural palette. And this is in every single video clip. You have so many beautiful shots from random places everywhere. How? How is this attainable, while also maintaining happiness & emotional well-being, & not breaking down?

This is a great reminder that there's not just THAT ONE ROUTINE that works for everyone. Also as someone already commented: Women have different cicles than men. Not all of the routines men create necesarily work for us. Which is totally fine. We just need more recources that we as women can work with.

I totally agree, I have tried to follow so many morning routines and failed. But something that does work for me is doing productive habits that make you happy, like stretching, drinking warm water in the morning, having a fruit of I am hungry, dancing, mediating, reading non fiction while drinking water and then reading for pleasure. This routine excites me, I look forward to wake up otherwise I'll keep sleeping, and do no productive habits at all
