Lovely song!! ...back in the 70s we lived in Newlyn, the first house of Gurnick Road... which got a view of Saint Michaels Mount 2 days before we left... due to a storm blowing a big tree down! lol.. we'd been there about 5yrs! ...think of the extra value to the house! And we missed it haha!!!
I Love this song! I was raised as a child on the Gwavas Estate, Chywoone Hill in Newlyn, Kernow (Celtic: Cornwall) many years ago with my Mother who now lives in Penzance (I lived there for a while also). Aleister Crowley's son Aleister Ataturk (Randall Gair) lived with his Mother Patricia Doherty at Wheal Betsy House, Chywoone Hill, Newlyn for some years too! I miss it down there! I love the effect the song has on me, it helps me image what Cornish folk have been through. However, English is not my native language and I can miss some words which causes to inability to fully understand story. I'd be glad if you can write lyrics of your songs if you can. Keep up the good work.
