My grandfather used to call me Shanghai ❤. He was born in Mylor but spent most of his life in Falmouth. I don't know if he ever went to Shanghai but he did travel a fair bit during the second war. He served as a gunner an unfortunately came back with an awful stammer. Reading this comment from you has made me think of him ,he didn't have an easy life but he did his best.❤
Fantastic performance Will, so very relaxed and proud! Both sides of my family left Cornwall in the 1850's for Australia and here I am. Still very proud of the old Cornovian Kingdom. What a place 👍
I've had the good pleasure of performing alongside Will. Even getting him and his Family up and dancing at a Ceilidh I played a couple of years ago. The last time accompanying him on this very song at this year's Cornwall Folk Festival in Wadebridge to celebrate Harry Glasson's Birthday. He came along to the festival. For those that don't know, Harry wrote this song.
I have never thought to learn to sing this song, perhaps 20 years of being in Cornwall ( Falmouth/pz/ lizard) . Till I was in Top house and asked to play along. I suddenly came out a project for this song!! Thanks for the inspiration.❤
Great song and performance. At a time like this, we really need the performing and expressive arts. And scientists too 😊 Martin. Devon born, live just inside Cornwall. Ancestors from north Cornwall/Devon border.
Hi Will… I just love this song 🎵 I play guitar and I am keen to have a go at playing this.. I am Welsh by birth but my great grandfather Richard Carter was from Newquay in Cornwall. He profession was a fisherman in his early life.. He moved to Swansea and married a local Welsh lass my Great grandmother Agnes Winnie Carter. My grandmother was Beatrice Catherine Carter at birth.. I have lots of relatives in the Newquay area and I am hoping to go down at some point to look at where my past relatives lived.. I see myself as Welsh, but part Cornish 😊👍
3 chord song, Capo 3rd Fret C, F & G...depends what key you want to sing it in, it's a bit deep for me so I'd feel more comfortable higher up the fingerboard to sing :-)
Will, I am making a short video in support of a walking group, Bude Walking for Health, I would like to use your song on the video. Is this ok with you?
Hi Ron, Harry Glasson wrote the song so I will have to ask his permission. Please can you email me willkeatingcornwall@gmail.com with more details so I can pass them on and then get back to you:)

I live in Spain, but pine for my spiritual home in Cornwall. Benatugana!
I never visited Spain, but I hear it's amazing
@@cornishvyken6135 Yes, it is amazing. I live in Catalunya, also a Celtic nation. The similarities are certainly there.
@@jeanettemundy1485 that is warming. I sometimes think we are losing our Celtic heritage. I now want to travel Spain and see the beauty.
Now that restrictions are being lifted, you should come and see it for yourself. Dynnargh chi’s!

I'm Northrian and wonder why " This is Cornwall " the song is not the county anthem. It's a fantastic song
Trelawny is already our national anthem
I have recently uploaded Cornwall My Home (with permission from Harry and Will) karaoke to Smule if any one fancies it!
Is it possible for a fellow Cornish bey to get the tabs for this? Cheers!

Cornish, never English!
That's not necessary to say though, as everyone already knows we identify separately
Cornish by birth. British by accident. English? Never!
