Very talented guitarist and singer. He met the love of his life who is also talented. Works with the best steelguitarist in the nation. Doesn't get better than that.
At a Vince Gill concert at Wolf Trap in Virginia, the lady next to me had also come solo (our husbands not being the intent Gill fans we are). She and I softly harmonized together all through this song-“For them,” she said, meaning our absent spouses. It was as lovely as any tune I’ve ever sung, with Vince backing us up. Good times! ❤
It is so empowering and 0verwhelming to hear this song that Vince Gill wrote about someone he hardly new Just a smile you knew they should be soulmates as soon as you heard it I am glad they are together where they Belong IAM together with my soulmate and I have a song on utube called my Denise hopefully it turns out even close to what you have I love your music
20 years ago my grandson, at the time 4 years old, as soon as I played this he'd run to my room and sing it with me and with so much emotion on his little face. This is my favorite #VinceGill song.
I truly believe that I have a cosmic connection with MR Gill. I named my first born child Amie because of his playing with Pure Prairie League. His stories are so relatable, it’s like you personally know him. I’ve met him several times. My Mother in law thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. She had her picture taken with him twice! And, the little town she lived in, McColl, SC, put them in the paper! This was early in his career, but he was so kind and sweet to her that in my heart of hearts, I felt like he took those pictures because of his sweet soul. She passed away in 2006 at the age of 93. But, a couple of years before that I put every song he ever sang on several cassette tapes. I bought her a “boombox” so she could play them over and over again. I’m thinking that I aged myself when I said BOOMBOX just now. I went to see the Christmas Show at the Ryman and he played a song about his best friend, Benny, that had passed away during Covid. He was Vince’s Guitar Tech forever. Ironically, my best friend of 58 years died of no apparent reason on 1/18/22. My last text was him confirming lunch for my Birthday that upcoming Friday. “Hey Boo, are we still on for Friday for lunch? Written the day he died. Moral of the story is that Mr. Gill is coming to my town to play with his Band, while on break from the Eagles. I sure hope that he’ll play that song! Perhaps I’ll find comfort from one of the people I know can help others heal. Thank you for listening and I love your video clips. DBH
What a beautiful tribute to his wife Amy, she didn't know it was about her. Amy asked Vince who was the lucky girl? Oh so sweet brings me to tears. Love ❤ you Vince Gill ❤ God bless 🙌 🙏 you my friend!
What a beautiful song and sung perfectly. Just to have a thimble full of Vince's talent would be the most awesome thing in the world. I imagine Amy gets weak in the knees hearing this song, knowing it's about her. What fantastic lyrics. James Taylor couldn't help himself...he had to accompany Vince, quite tastefully by the way!
Vince that was a very beautiful song. I love your music. I'm keeping everyone in the world in my prayers daily. Keep it up maybe one of these days I can meet youn's in person.
Vince has been one of my musical idols for a good portion of my life. I’ve seen him in concert at least 10 times. He is an amazing musician, singer and person. Love him. ❤️
anyone who knows Vince gill or his music are fortunate he has a song and a story for every mood. I've only seen him once here in Ireland in a small venue about 200 people . and I've seen them all .mason Ketchum Skaggs Travis Crowell paisley and so many more but as a guitar player and Vince gill fan that was the best 30 euro I ever spent I'll never forget it a
Heard Vince for the first time in 1992 while we were driving with a motorhome through Colorado. Never heard of him before. Directly bought all his CD's being in the US that vacation. A year later he appeared in concert in Paradiso in Amsterdam where we live. That was in 1994. I'll never forget it!
I think this is the first song I ever fell in love with of Vince Gill. Then I saw his eyes n told my mom he had diff eyes. My mom looks n says "Theres nothing wrong with his eyes. Theyre "bedroom eyes" n we both fell in love with him after that lol 😍😍
The most beautiful song ever I experienced the words in this song it's crazy I felt so much like a kid scared to death over this guy oh my I would get weak speechless but nothing became of it not the beautiful ending that Vince And Amy ended up with! I spent almost seven years of my life feeling like that I held the biggest heart ache in town for sure and oh my God when I would hear Vince sang this boy oh boy the feelings Nothing became of it life went on and it's been many years ago now!! Just crazy sweet memories!
I had that experience Whenever I got around this certain guy I would get weak just so nervous get flushed in the face carried on like that for seven years!!! Nothing became of it he didnt know I exist!!! But you know what life goes on!!!!!
Vince has a high, nasilly voice, that somehow WORKS. His incredible guitar works compares only to that of the man sitting at his side. Of the five on stage, only James Taylor came pull out original compositions that can stand alongside those of Vince. I actually pity the others.
When you get done singing and James Taylor is clapping, you’re the man
This Man can SING so WELL anytime, his ability to play any instrument is overwhelming
Vince is a bit of heaven which fell to earth.....thank you Lord for giving us this artist.
Amy Grant iis a lucky woman . God has blessed her with a man who loves so much . Amazing song 👌👌👌
Vince, James, and Joe are absolute legends, and Chris is on his way to being one. Vince has always been one of my favorites.
Such a beautiful song.. so much love she got from Vince Gill. Blessed woman
What I love about this is how JT and Joe Walsh just join in playing and never say a word.
Totally. I love the fills that they add. So beautiful.
Very talented guitarist and singer. He met the love of his life who is also talented. Works with the best steelguitarist in the nation. Doesn't get better than that.
Vince Gill has the voice of an angel! There is none better in my opinion.

Chris be sittin there thinking, "Oh Vince, Wait till you see what I'm going to do with this song for you, in the Future"!!!

We love his music. We listen to it all the time. One of the best singers ever.

I like
The GOAT vocalist !
JT's mind was blown, I think. Too bad the others couldn't add more instrumentation.
Hello ma'am I really appreciate your love and support over my dads music career 🙏
And I was thinking he was going to say the song Amy from Pure Prairie League, from when he was with them, lol
That song was “Amie”: different girl!
Thinking about someone else who isn't around me anymore .
Stage full of talent by the truckloads, and then some.
The live captions are really annoying, and i cant turn them off.
wow, and no one else's girl friend is Amy Grant. NO PRESSURE THERE!
Vince has a high, nasilly voice, that somehow WORKS. His incredible guitar works compares only to that of the man sitting at his side. Of the five on stage, only James Taylor came pull out original compositions that can stand alongside those of Vince. I actually pity the others.
Vince you should see my smile!
Is that Chris Stapleton next to Joe....songwriters stage left?
wadefish45701 yes it sure is!
And he's sitting there thinking....I'm gonna do this song better than Vince. 😉 And he did. 💯
Oh
