    I really like this wheel, but I can't justify that price. I can get a light motorcycle with that money

      Totally understandable. I think the Sherman S is for someone who rides on a regular basis, or even commutes on the wheel. It's much more of a daily driver, or a rich person's toy.

I buy their wheels knowing that I'm going to have to inspect and work on them semi-frequently.

    Good video. I'm 6'5" & 268lb without gear. I've just been taking notes & doing research for now. Being a heavier guy, I'm trying to figure out if I should get a big EUC right off the bat or still get a smaller non-suspension one 1st 🤔

    • @russellzauner
      @russellzauner ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm 235lb and own MTen3, V10F, V12, and S22 - I can say definitively as a larger person that you're going to run into *tire* issues long before anything else fails.
      I like my MTen3 but I have a back project to get a solid/foam core tire on it because the tire simply can't handle it - the bearings are fine and it's the better spec'd version so it pulls me around no problem, even on a flat tire lol
      The V10F I can trust fairly well but have to ride with higher pressure and stick to smooth ground - I know a curb shot will destroy it, so if you're more mass than I have it's a strong ride but I already feel I want to upgrade the tire to inserts to protect the wheel ring itself.
      The V12 or S22 are plenty burly and you had better come to the table with some actual muscle because they're heavy wheels; power isn't an issue but having to throw around a 60-80lb wheel when it's not powered up gets old in a hurry.
      I am actually looking at selling my V12 and getting an MTen4 next, obviously will need to figure out a tire upgrade before throwing it in a backpack (yes, the Mten3 literally will fit in a backpack and under almost any car seat).

    • @BIGboiFASTboi
      @BIGboiFASTboi  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with Win... Go with the big wheel. You'll outgrow a "learner wheel" quickly at your size, and you open yourself up to more pain in the learning stages if you get something that's not made to safely support your weight. For big guys like us, higher watt hour batteries, and higher power motors are our friends. 100v+ should be the only thing in your sights right now. The next level of safety and comfort will be suspension, however that will make learning a little more difficult, since you'll have another axis of movement beneath you during the learning process.
      I'd probably consider looking at the EXN, Monster Pro, Sherman S, or V13 depending on your riding style and budget. The upcoming EX30 and Commander Pro would also be good suspension wheels for your size, but more difficult to learn on.
      Don't forget to budget in about $600-1000 in safety gear before you get started! The less pain you have during the learning process, the more likely you'll love it and stick with it! Best of luck!

    • @BIGboiFASTboi
      @BIGboiFASTboi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Win From Within oh, I agree... I just try to offer options, since many people aren't able or willing to pay the $2000 price difference between the two wheels. The Sherman S is as premium as it gets, to date!

    • @BIGboiFASTboi
      @BIGboiFASTboi  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Win From Within Oh... Sorry, I misunderstood. While the OG Sherman has more battery and a better overall build, it doesn't have nearly the same torque, which makes the EXN a better fit for riders over 200lbs who like to ride hard/fast, in my opinion. For anyone 200-250lbs who doesn't plan on doing hard accelerations or hill climbs, the OG Sherman would be a great wheel. The OG Shermans also have weak rims (even after the update.) which is worth considering. A local rider here, who is not even 200lbs is now on his 4th rim. :(

    • @anthonycoffey6565
      @anthonycoffey6565 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same boat, 6' 2" & 250lbs. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a starter wheel just to outgrow it & want something more powerful. I feel it would be better to get a larger wheel & make sure I've practiced plenty to get used to it before I take off down the road. I'm thinking anything with a 3500w motor & 3500 watts of power or more. I wish the Abrams wasn't a failure cause it would have been the one. We need a new Abrams Max!

    Great video man! While some may say the Sherman.S is pretty pricey, with the build quality on this wheel, I imagine the used market a year or two down the line would make for a great deal. I've been keeping an eye on wheels.comong out and feel at odds with most, but this wheel looks to be an instant classic. Keep up the videos bro!

    • @BIGboiFASTboi
      @BIGboiFASTboi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment! I agree, this wheel should stand the test of time well, as long as the suspension holds up! I know Fastace doesn't have the best reputation, however this style of suspension has really shown the potential of what a proper hydraulic style shock can do for an EUC. I'm sure the price will come down a bit by next year, just like any new used vehicle does... and it'll be a great wheel then just as it is now! It really is a great package. Maybe a little to heavy for some.

    I have already paid my Full Purchase Price Batch 2 Sherman S. Why am I not as an important customer? Why Don't I deserve the extra safety ?

    • @wheelydope
      @wheelydope ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this is similar to how Ewheels operates with exclusive LiTech battery packs. Has more to do with how the distributor negotiates with the manufacturer.

    • @BIGboiFASTboi
      @BIGboiFASTboi  ปีที่แล้ว

      LeaperKim is *installing* this mesh from factory, for an additional cost, paid by FreeMotion Shop. It's not uncommon for distributors to work with manufacturers on custom features like this. For example, ewheels gets Begode without batteries, and installs LiTech battery packs instead, as an added safety enhancement.
      The point being made, is that consumers should look out for these additional features that may or may not be offered by all dealers. We have to be astute with our spending, to make sure we're getting the best bang for our buck, while also purchasing from a reputable vendor who will be able provide support for your purchase.

    Holyshit. This man is wearing enough armor to push the Russians out of Ukraine. As a new Onewheel rider I guess this EUC is the next level up.

      Hahaha... yeah, I've had a couple of falls to teach me that I'd rather wear the gear 100% of the time, and be prepared for the 1% of the time I'll need it. Downtime due to healing sucks, and losing skin also sucks, so I try to mitigate injuries the best I can. Less injuries == more riding. Luckily the falls don't happen often. You just never know when they will occur next. I will say, I've seen far more injuries on Onewheels than I have EUC's... but that could simply be because the community is much larger as a whole. Lots of broken bones on both sides!
