Thanks a lot for writing to us! The service experience is pleasant so far. They have always fixed the issues properly. So no complaints whatsoever. I have no idea about Eureka Forbes, but with this product we always get the right support. In fact once we register a service call the company sends us an SMS, warning us of potential fraud and advises us to ask for ID of the technicians and check if they are wearing the AO smith branded uniforms. Technicians order parts only through the company app. So you always get the right people and genuine parts. Kindly note registering a complaint/service call by phone to their customer care number works better than app-based service request. Technicians usually show up within a day of calling. Kindly note these things vary from one city to another. Without AMC a full set filter replacement costs 7000. AMC covers filter replacements and other problems too. one year AMC costs 5800.
Unfortunately, no. There’s a model in LG that does that. But electricity consumption of such models will be really high…you have to count such a product as a fridge, complete with compressor and all. It’s not worth the high running cost (if i’m not wrong, the upfront cost of that LG model is above 45K). It’s better to fill the bottles and place them in the fridge. 🙂
No, it’s like a normal water purifier only. The heating element is not on all the time. You have to switch on the heating manually when you need. So the electricity consumption for making hot water occurs only when you press the hot water button. There are two heating modes. If you press it normally, it will go up to 45 and stop. 45 degrees is lukewarm and you can drink it without adding normal water. It takes around two mins to reach 45 degrees. So two mins of using the heating element is not much and the power consumption is negligible. But if you long press the button, it will go up to 80 degrees. It’s really hot and it takes longer to reach 80 degrees. But it’s not necessary to use this mode imo because of two reasons. 1. If you need lukewarm drinking water, you can have it at 45 degrees. You boil water when you’re unwell only to kill germs. But the water purifier already eliminates all the germs and you can simply drink germ free water at 45 degrees. 2. If you need your water at 80 degrees for making tea or something, nothing matches the speed and efficiency of an induction stove in doing that. So in conclusion, 45 degrees mode is useful and it doesn’t consume a lot of electricity. But if you need the water much hotter the 80 degree mode is less energy efficient and slower.

We decided against buying from Amazon or other online sites because we felt it would be better if we had a dealer to support us when we need to get it serviced. But when we recently called Meenakshi Fan House and asked them to contact the AO Smith service staff for servicing the product, we realised that the dealers don't have any leverage with service personnel when it comes to water purifiers, regardless of the brand. We ultimately had to directly call AO Smith customer care, and they promptly sent an executive for service. In conclusion, I think it doesn't make any difference whether you order the product online or offline. So I have no hesitation whatsoever in giving you the Amazon link to the product. I don’t think the company offers accessories like that. Personally I won’t make mods that are not recommended by the manufacturer. If you want to try that you may have to measure the diameter of the tap and find a hose + clip that may fit on your tap. But I won’t recommend that. That may void your warranty. So it would be risky to do that.
It’s excellent, well atleast the model we have…we are extremely happy with the one we have. We recently changed the cartridges. So in my experience, their service is good, too. If you are buying an AO Smith purifier you need to keep these two things in mind though. 1. Their app is a bit broken imo. So it’s not advisable to book service or spares on the app. Just call their toll free customer care no. They respond to customer support calls promptly. 2. Get an AMC.
