  • www.autobytel.c... One of the best selling cars in the Toyota Line-Up in terms of overall sales is the 2012 Toyota Corolla. Toyota states that 80% of Corolla's that have been sold in the past 20 years are still on the road today. That is pretty amazing! The 2012 Corolla is also a 2012 Insurance Institute Top Safety Pick. The base model is quite affordable with an MSRP price of $16,130.
    The 2012 Toyota Corolla is powered by a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 132 horsepower and 128 lb-ft. of torque. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic with overdrive. Fuel economy is excellent at 27 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The Corolla comes packed with tons of safety features including stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and more.
    The Corolla is a compact car that will appeal to a large demographic. The 2012 Toyota Corolla is a great choice for those looking for a reliable commuter car or a safe automobile for the teenage driver. The low base price makes this car a viable option for a wide variety of shoppers. The Corolla comes loaded with tons of features and options and is backed by 60 month/60,000 mile power train warranty.

    nice idea, but notice this, people rants about this car for having a small engine, if they put a bigger engine, they will rant about it because it will loose its gas economy. some people are hard to satisfy

    I own this car and I freaking love it. I bought this car because it was affordable and the perks are great for the price.....Bang for the Buck..Yeah it is no Lexus or BMW but this car is going to last. I have yet to have any complaints regarding the space in the back, Not super roomy but it is comfy enough for long trips. The front is super comfy and the stock radio and speakers don't sound like complete garbage..

    I'm sure Toyota is in a "tough" spot in a sence that "Why change what isn't broken". All these supposed changes everyone wants could possibly, not sure 100% drop sales and more importantly, durability. This 1.8 lasts a very long time and it's trouble free.These cars just last and that's what I look for. And they sell like crazy.

    Heated seats came standard with my car and its a 2012. There is plenty of room for your legs in the rear if the front seat wasn't pulled back all the way like in this video.

    Corolla, one of the best sedan that has been selling all over the world! Corollas don't loose their value verses most other cars.

    I have to agree. My 2008 malibu gets 8.5 L / 100 km. Are you kidding me? I think my car is fuel efficient. 6.53 L / 100 KM (35mpg) sounds fucking amazing to me.

  • @DarkShock91
    @DarkShock91 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How in the hell is 35mpg terrible? Its a compact car and that's decent mileage for a compact car. It's not supposed to be a smart car. Most compacts have around 35mpgs.

    It's because Corollas are like Civics they don't get all the Luxury options like the Camrys and Accords Corollas are meant to be basic cars whereas the Camrys you get more leg room large trunk space more horsepower and all the Luxury options on the higher SE Trims

    every number is a gear, setting the stick into one of them limits the gearbox to that gear, ths car is a 4-speed, so setting in D will let the engine use the whole 4 gears, setting it into 3 will limit the gearbox to third, 2 to second gear, an "L" is the lowest gear, or first gear. back a few years ago there was no "3" it had a button named "overdive" (my '06 corolla has it) which was the same but didn't need to switch, just presseing the button.

  • @AndyRP

    that's why i always say when my mates look at my '06 corolla's trunk

    what toyota needs to do is to keep this corolla wieght the same and install the 2.5L camry engine in it. that would be realy cool.

    What the F happens to you with the rear legroom. Focus, mazda3, corolla. I am taller than you both (6 ft 3in) and I can sit comfortably behind the drivers seat without the image you put out with the legs having to spread because the seat is too back. I mean I adjust the seat in the front and then I sit in the back and it is just fine.

  • @BetsyRossLives

    Toyota needs to step it way up with the gas mileage. I get a sense that big oil with their patents for the vapor carburetor, have been putting increasing pressure on the auto industry to keep the mpg range no higher than 35. If the scientists from the 1970's can break the 1,000 mile per gallon barrier, imagine what we can do today.

    then you're the unlucky one to get a defect corolla. LOL My friend, my brother, my brother in law all use corolla for their jobs which food delivery. My brother owns a 1997 corolla with more than 200,000 and works good in 2013. Gets the job done. My friend has a 1987 corolla with more than 100,000. the only major problem it had was the catalytic converter.

    optima is a very nice car. but i still question its reliability. the worst one? well in a way, yes. it's an old technology compare to its competitors. but maintenance, it's one of the easiest and cheapest. and Optima is more expensive.

  • @eternalhalloween1
    @eternalhalloween1 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    I admire Toyota for their badge of reliability. I respect this car. But for the same amount of money, I would be tempted to go for the Hyundai Elantra because you get a little more out of every gallon of gas.

    • @philtrottier4442
      @philtrottier4442 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Elantra has the worst fuel economy. You won't find any Elantra on the road 20 years from now.Guess what you will find.

    Toyota sells millions of cars a year worldwide, with over 1.6 million cars sold a year in America alone. I highly suspect that they wouldn't give a single fuck if you personally will never own one, and I also highly suspect that they will not give an even bigger fuck about you "spreading the word" ;)

    When will Toyota wise up and get rid of the fixed 45 degree angle in all thier seats that pushes you legs up in the air and into your chest to give you the false ilusion of more leg room to rip you off? I say this is fixed and in every car they make because there is no adjustment on ony of their cars to put your seat at a flat level to take this out. The 45 degree angle is horrible for leg circulation for long and short trips and the Corolla is really cramped compared to the Honda Civic.

    Whoopty doo!!!!!!!! It gets 35mpg. That is TERRIBLE with todays standards for small cars. Even the larger Camry gets 35mpg which is ALL the reason not to buy a Corolla. He also forgot to mention that automatic transmission is a 4speed, not a 5 speed which is BEYOND ANCIENT.

    I want to like Toyota, but I just can't because of family experience and Toyota's desire to make their cars bland and expensive. You ONLY buy this Corolla because of the reputation for quality and reliability. From the sounds of it the past few years, you're not even getting that anymore. Honda and Toyota have become bottom of the barrel compared to the competition nowadays. Take the Hyundai Elantra. More style. Lower price. Better warranty. Cheaper to run.

    I agree. Overrated and uncomfortble and cramped as hell. Until they are willing to get rid of the fixed 45 degree angle on all the seats in every car they make, I will never buy one of these closets on wheels.
