      Replace speaker wires. Check fuses. Make sure your ground is good and check the impedance. You might not have been getting enough voltage. Usually the amp is good when you disconnect speaker wires and it comes out of protection mode

  • @LuxorVan

    I repaired one just like it, was in protect due to voltage regulator! These are nice class D amplifiers! But sometimes having the bass boost all the way up is an issue as well! This amp will run on as little as 10V at least factory claims it will handle 10-14V!

    when my soundstream trx 1500 was doin that ,i found out that it was my 12 volt hook up . had to rehook up my 120 amp fuse . that line has to be tight and pulling current.

    Check all your cables make sure your ground is not touching paint sand it to the bare metal so it could get better wattage and check your fuse holder!

    Hmmm, Ive had the same problems, try opening up the amp and looking for any burnt out or melted connections, if there are, it definitely is the amp. If not, it could be how you connected it or what you connected it to. 600 watts is a lot and can overdrive some batteries with a small alternator. But that probably isn't it because one, it goes into protection without the subs, and two, you have a capacitor. Also, try lowering the imput volume, doesn't hurt to try.

    blown sub. a blown sub can be like taking the + & - and twisting them together. it's called a short. 2ohms is less resistance than 4 ohms etc. so it's like the amp has zero resistance ( zero ohms) no Amp can't handle zero ohms. protection mode it is. any questions?

    9 times out of 10, amps enter protection mode because you did something your not supposed to. like turning the settings up you high, or running subs that are lower ohms than it rated for

    What gauge is your wiring harness? Because you dont want to go to big with a small amp because 600 watt amp is to small of an amp for those subs. Im sure thats your problem. The bigger the wire harness the more power your gonna bring to the amp which is gonna put ur amp into protection mode so you dont fry it. You would have to get a bigger amp (1000 watts) if you have 15in subs or (800watts) if you have 12in subs. Or change the wire harness. You should have a 6 or 8 gauge harness with a 600 watt amp!!!! Definitely not a 4 or 0 gauge.

  • @divionlilman

    Try to put a bigget fuse I have a boss 1 channel monoblock I was having the same problem but then I checked all my ground wires and power wires and remote wires and the problem was I had to put more stronger fuse so now instead of running 2 25 fuse I decided to put 40 2 40 fuse meaning you have to run 80 and always check your ground wire sometimes if your ground wire is not perfectly tight the way it needs to be tight it's going to make your aunt go to protection mode I hope this advice can help you good luck with your project also try to get a better power wire especially if you're a monoblock the power wire and the ground wire supposed to be some strong thick gauges that way your aunt does not go to protection mode I was looking at your video and I seen your power wires burning like a three or four gauge try using like a zero gauge

    when two kicker subs that come in a box made by kicker are 4 ohms each and are in that oem box that means you are running 2 ohms with both speakers combined. when you bridged it you might of possibly put them in 1 0hm you must put it back to normal so it can run 2 ohms again as opposed to the setup you have now in this video which based on what youre saying i can asume is 1 ohm

  • @darkside59
    @darkside59 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok. 1st, is your sub wired 8ohm or 2 ohm final impedances(per sub)? 2nd, if your amp is capable of 1ohm? If I remember correctly, the lowest impedance the old school Kicker amp can go is 2ohm. If it keep going into protection mode, your final impedance on your subs are setup up @ 1ohm, which too low of an impedance for that amp and goes into protection mode. Try removing all speaker cables and run 1 sub, 1 coil and see if it still goes into protection mode. If it still goes into protection mode, something wrong with your amp. Probably a bad output mosfit.

    Turn the Filter off and then see what happens Also turn the Gain all the way Down and if you have a Level nob for volts turn it all the way to the right for the lowest volt setting,and use that seat belt bolt under the back seat too.Grind all the paint off of it and around it.Also get some Subs that you can't blow up no matter how much you turn it up....

      Hi.The fact that subs are disconnect should allow your amp to go off protection.jus switch your radio off and back on.reset.if it's still in protection then it can be a number of faults like loose positive contact on fuse on battery if you have.or it has a internal fault like burnt or faulty mosfets etc.need to remove test and replace by a technician .only then will it come of protection .

  • @raylenestevedewater7335
    @raylenestevedewater7335 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    this is very easy... the protection shows that the core on the amp won't allow power inside because of a spike that caused your fuses to blow just replace the same fuses and you will be fine... then you can add a 2 Farad capacitor to give the amp more power to overrun the resistance of the subs, the amp heats up because of the resistance you can fix that by tuning into a parallel connection... The amp is perfectly fine, just tune your frequency correctly according to your subs and improvise with your enclosure - that is also for a better bass performance...
