Just straight up reversed the battery/ground inputs on an amp when I was 15, only time I've ever seen the protect light and it turned out still fine after
I somehow did that too wiring up at night even though I double checked the wires, and blew all my internal amp fuses. Still plays good to this day 100s of hours later! 😂

I just did this on accident. Don't know how I managed the mistake, especially since I checked it twice but nope... still did it backwards (my first install too). The fuse blew instantly when I connected the ground cable to the battery. Hoping I didn't fry anything in my amp, and hoping the fuse did its job fast enough lol. I will never make that mistake again
Distortion will do it too. Usually can just turn it down to the input signal isn't distorted. My JP84 doesn't like Distortion at all. The Salt 200.4 will tolerate a certain amount of Distortion however will go to protect until you reduce the volume. My Distortion point is 27 and it goes to 33. Yes it gets louder however it starts Distortion. The subs definitely get much much louder. So for a quick 15-30 seconds I can get the solid 140db @34hz
Why does my JP63 Bluetooth remote always shutting off when I start bumping hard ? Got to power it back on to get my bass going again. Is there a bypass? Or a hardwire trick ?
Had the same issue just a min ago! Checked the speaker box and the negative input was bent over touching the positive! Bent back over and it works now!! Hope this helps someone!
I fixed my underseat self-powered subwoofer recently. Would go into protect when first driving the car and longer sometimes depending on weather conditions. It turned out to be poor soldering workmanship. The messy flux between solder blobs at the mosfet leads turned conducive, worse with humidity. I was tired of being blamed for miswiring when I reached out for advice. Works great now after cleaning things up.
Usually shorts/ impedance issues and heat lead to MOSFET replacement too guys if your protect mode is STILL stuck.... In my journeys anyway :-) IF the amp has MOSFETs obviously, but yeah test the output stages before sending it to the recycling bin
I have your jp23 amp and on the voltage meter of the amp it drops down to 12 volts but my car voltage meter is staying at 13.5 to 14.4 what's the problem with my voltage meter on my amplifier

I had a problem with a kicker cx1800.1 amp going into protection mode, one thing I learned was that Amp draws a lot of current I was running a 4 gauge cca wire, I pulled it out installed 0 gauge COPPER wire problem solved DONT USE CCA!! USE ONLY COPPER WIRE!!

They let me trade out a dead jp23 v2 ( caught on fire while playing) for a pair of the mini Maxx ( a mono and 4 channel) about 6 months ago and yesterday the mononwent into protect for no apparent reason ( 200a alt, 4ga ofc, big 4 just pushing 2 6.5s in my wife's truck). It actually killed the truck battery . 2 out of 3 jp amps Ive had have ended badly, unfortunately won't be pressing my luck again. Best thing I ever do was replace the jp23 with a DB AAK4K tho

Bad ground. Ground to the body or frame of the car especially trying to push 2 l7 15s and might wanna get a bigger amp. I had 2 L5 12s on a 4000 w mono class d amp. 2300rms at 2 ohm. Lmao but before I plugged the speaker in I was trying to gain match them to where they both read the same output voltage to each coil then as I'm adjusting back and forth matching them then making sure they're not clipping one of them goes in to protect and has never came back out and that was nearly two years ago and I still have the one in protect but sold the other one along with the wolfram sub and my d4s 6.0 lto and stuff for only like 500 dollars but I'm wanting to add a few little 10s back in the car and the rp2000 would be nice especially if whatever it is is super easy and cheap to fix I'd rather use it for now until I can get me a jp23 or 33. I'm so tired of no bass. Lol any input would be greatly appreciated guys.

Well I'm here to try and solve an issue and not just keep on going into protect mode. So my amp goes in and out of protect with high volume but at 1/3 volume no issue I did notice today that the light was flickering with the base but all my connections are tight and I beefed up all the original power and ground wires years ago. The amp was used I'm wondering if it was abused and needs a fixin.
When I 1st got my jp83 it was in protect couldn't figure it out for 3 days finally ran a ground from the frame of my car to the back battery and boom problem solved

Most amplifier manufacturers don't honor their warranty I've seen crescendo and sundown honor there warranty. I use a lot of deaf bonce they are the absolute worst when it comes to warranty. I still have a few on the shelf

When it’s in accessory mode the amp and subs work perfectly fine like always, but now as soon as I turn the ignition the amp goes into protect mode. And it just recently started happening and I haven’t changed anything about my setup, which has been playing fine for the last year. Any advise on narrowing this down? I feel like I’ve tried everything

Not sure on the amp.. the only thing I can say is I have the jp 23 v2 on 2 10s . And it's plenty of amp .. I wouldn't think you would need a 33

Do you have a audio control lc2i/lc7i? If so check the knobs on the device, if it’s too high it’s sending too much voltage to your rca

Has anyone ever experienced burning a pair of subwoofer right after turning the on your deck? Amp is not on PROTECT mode.

So basically I’m fucked , got it 👍🏻 😂 my sub got jacked and yanked out the truck and when I tried to put another sub in I realized the amp was in protect and hasn’t worked since

These videos r alright but y so short y not 15-20 min videos and y is there less and less bass videos i mainly subbed cause u were slamming bass everywhere chilling now its all short in shop videos once in a blue moon i see a short bass video of ur tahoe yes ur cool but the short videos r getting old id personally like to see 15 min videos again it can be talking or bassing idc just something long enough worth clicking on sorry for this kinda comment but i like the videos u do but hate that a video is around 3 mins all the rest is a intro ot out tro or that cbd(weed) stuff ad i use to watch a ton but now i only watch some cause the videos r to short
