When you added the purples and blues to the sky was it wet? I am a beginner 3 months in. Will blue or yellow still turn green even if dry since they are semi-transparent? Very very nice well done
Just blend with a dry brush, it usually works if your paint is not too thin. I actually like a little green in the sky if it happens. If you don’t like your blend for some reason, let it dry and go over the areas you don’t like
Hi Eva I love you seascape paintings I have a request for you plz share a video of how do you paint wave patterns in detail and which brush is suitable for it thanks
So beautiful. ..love the colors...and your mixing of...the sheen on water nice. Such a joy watching it come to life...thanks for posting...oh the colors are so beautiful. I think an artists writing is their color mixing and brushstrokes. ...your very good seascape artist....
Love the harmonious colours and such a fantastic painting. Quick question, how do you not get green when painting blues and yellows over each other. Thanks.
Eva , firstly I'd like to say your an inspiration to us all ...I love watching you make magic , your so talented. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I do have one question. Do you add the yellow between the waves " wet on wet" or Do you add it later when dry ? Regards Ness
what a lovely paining . i am in awe of your work . can you please tell me what effect were you giving at the end to the waves in black and white mode which shows foam on waves . is it toothbrush!!!!
Hi Suz, I don't put white on canvas before I start. In this painting I used titanium white, cadmium yellow, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, mauve and indigo. Basically any yellows and purplish blues will do.
I love your work! Gorgeous! What are you using for your palette for your paints? I am working on a large painting and this would make it so easy for me to blend the paint and use them.
I used a huge leftover MDF board in this video for the viewers to see how I mix the colors, but honestly I didn't like it: mixing on a vertical surface is not right for my preferable consistency, had to add Liquin (paint medium) right on canvas here
Hi Greg, frankly speaking, currently I don't consider myself in a position to teach: I'm self-taught myself. What I do here is keeping a visual diary of my work, documenting my journey in these short time-lapses: with every new large painting I challenge my self to grow artistically. Thanks for watching!
Eva Volf Many excellent artists are self-taught. Real time videos of your work would be popular, with simple explanations of the brushes, colors, and techniques you use. There are more than a few Patreon artists with less talent than you supporting themselves with instructional videos.
some people are good teachers, some people are not. Not all good musicians can explain and teach how to play. My techniques are as natural as breathing for me: mixing the colors right on canvas, painting wet on wet, blending with a wide brush, some of them are nontraditional, but they work for me. If they were confidential, I wouldn't make any videos at all, but here I am keeping a visual diary of my art journey. Thanks for following!
I remember you adding this painting and to this day i still watch it .. its my favourite ❤
Thank you so much , Ness!

Ness Kemp you could let it dry if it’s challenging to paint wet on wet. I did it wet on wet
Perfect.

Lovely. You'd do well producing real-time instructional videos, with voiceover narration describing your technique. I know I'd buy your videos. :)

@@EvaVolf Please consider just making some normal time videos. It will be very helpful.
