I'm at 3 months and working on bringing my shoulder blades down and squeezed to help. Then raising my arms. Definitely a work in progress!

Thanks for the insightful video. I am 8 weeks post op and working through AAROM and shoulder is weak and feeling the burn after exercises! Knowing that bad posture/bad form working out previously may have contributed to the shoulder damage, I'm trying to be conscious to have correct form when doing my physio exercises. No shrugging!

I'm a student and have a patient post shoulder replacement that has been in for nearly 6 weeks that is still significantly shrugging. I feel like she has significant restrictions in her lat that may be restricting her motion but I'm not sure what other areas I can attack with manual therapy due to the fact that it is not a real shoulder. Can I approach her the same way you guys are recommending?

5 weeks into recovery of rotator tear and shredded bicep ( age 50 ) I am very fit for my age , I do have that shoulder shrug I do many different exercises , Pulley , laying on the ground with a stick moving arm assisted with good arm, hoping this shrug goes away it seems really inflamed I ice shoulder , and take a anti inflammatory its not that I 'am afraid to do the exercises I try to be aware of the shrug it just does it on its own after a certain point boom shrug hits ( example fine till I try go above 90 degrees when raising by it self straight forward when standing) I try to keep arm very relaxed I had two small incision front and back of shoulder and one open incision on the top of shoulder about 3 inched long. when doing PT there is some pain in the front . sometimes goes to the back of the shoulder blade I take deep inhales and slow exhales to when I feel that pull

I'm about 12 weeks post-op....large rotator cuff repair for my age (39) 4.5cm...i have shoulder hiking and weakness. Still unable to lift arm overhead. I do have good passive motion though, just need to work on active motion. Any recommendations? Will this improve over time? I'm doing PT and home exercises. Do I just need to work on getting my strength back in arm/shoulder?

How's the progress? I am only 8 weeks post op (3 RC repairs and bicep tenodesis) and I am obviously dealing with weakness also my physio says I am progressing well.

First surgery didn't take, didn't heal. Had 2nd surgery (SCR) and I'm 7 weeks post-op. Start PT Tuesday. I hope this does the trick. I know it will be a long recovery.
