  • #309: Over the years, shoulder labral repair surgeries are trending down in overhead athletes. They often over-constrain the joint and decrease range of motion, which can be very limiting to these athletes.
    Here's how attempt to prevent this loss of motion.

    Good topic mike, the worst we've seen in terms of this was a volleyball player that wasn't allowed to be stretched passively for 3 months...safe to say 6 months later she's still trying to get the motion back. Always wondered if some of these repairs were necessary and in a way happy to hear they're on their way out.
