      @@warrenford2597 Good point. The suspension of disbelief applied to something in science... in this case, puny bit of energy used by LHC actually making all the little worms worm their way out of their hole of blackness and entangling adjacent galaxies in the cracked-up multiverse (or something).

      I recall the base Earth which was here before 1974 during the 3rd World War. Everything changed after that. We also had states of religion instead of political states. Life was so ordinary and so less advanced, very much like the 1930s. I still have something from that time...an object I once showed my mother and she thought it was some sort of toy or something made up just for fun, but it wasn't. And, we've always been right here in The Milky Way...no traveling to other parts of the universe. I'm glad I'm here instead of there...people were systematically killed in the name of religion and the belief in God. Technology couldn't progress due to so many religious murders killing off so many brilliant people along with common people. And so it goes...be grateful to be here the way we are.

    Excellent short sci fi...the epilogue is not necessary; "mitt romney" was the ultimate ending....

    What a mind bender yet oh so good and I am sure that we have all noticed the differences since C3PO suddenly had a lower silver leg.

    I missed something. Okay, so the wife and her colleague on the phone fired up the Hadron and created a rift and are jumping from one reality to another. So why would the husband and that crazy old guy get caught in it?

    • @EnvisFlames
      @EnvisFlames 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      From what I remember of the stories and theories (it's been awhile since I've been on the sci-fi side of yt) but the collider effected the world, so everyone is basically suffering this jumping because of scientists getting carried away. Who realizes it like the husband did and who don't is the variable.

      Yeah you think if it effects everyone, he would've talked to or even observed more people that see different numbers on clocks, different Presidents, number of moons, etc and be freaking out about it. As for the homeless guy who knew since about it, u see in the credits he's also the voice of the scientist at the end that the wife thanks for getting her family back (I reckon by knocking the guy out, but somehow not the kid though..), so that's how he's involved so not sure how it seems the dude is in it with the Dr and dudes wife though

    ¡¡¡Guao qué cortometraje tan bonito!!! Casi no me gustaban los cortos, pero estoy aprendiendo a apreciarlos, ¡porque de verdad son cine!! Con este cortometraje se gastaron cuantiosos recursos de todo tipo, desde dinero hasta excelentes actuaciones, y aunque el argumento está manido y fofo, pero resultó muy bonito además de aleccionador. Continuaré....

    "And you love me till my heart stops, Love me till I'm dead
    Eyes that light up, Eyes look through you
    Cover up the blank spots, Hit me on the head
    I got ooh!" [This Must Be The Place - Talking Heads] Also a summary of the plot.
