She's so good! Great video. I'm a barber by trade and am used to the thinning shears but I could never be that quick on my Newfie - I'd be too scared of nicking her ear!
Great video. I need more practice though! I think a table would help just to see better. Just curious what brand table are you using and is it difficult to get your dogs on the table? Do you lift them or do they jump up?
I don't think my brand of table is made anymore, there are plenty on amazon. You might have to cut the legs with bolt cutters to get it lower. My dogs love jumping up on the table, I always help them down tho. They know they get my undivided attention and treats when on the table!
Hi Stacy. I have a 7 month old Berner and I want to start grooming her myself, but, she is terrified of the blow dryer. Do you have any tips on how to ease her fears with it? Thanks
Do it in small spurts, lots of food, use a grooming table with a noose, so there are boundaries. I do it every two weeks or so and build on it. They need to learn and be trained for it. Stay away from their head for a long time.
You are wonderful ! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
she is SO cute my oh my! what a great video! thank you!

Yeah, you really do need to know where the ear is and the leather and be able to pull back quickly. Love my thinners!
The perfect actress!
Thank you so much for the info! Is this also the way to do it for a show?
Yes!
Beautiful Woooooof ❤

SitStay with Stacy Slade Thank you! Your dogs seem to love getting groomed!
"Happy trimming"?
With my boy it's, "Good Luck"!
(Wants to constantly circle)
Can you use human thinning shears? Are they the same?
Yes, I believe so. Dog thinners vary in size, teeth and length. Kenchii is a good brand to check out.
Hi I have a 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog named Max. I was wondering why do the ears need trimming?
They neaten the look and is how we prepare them for the show ring. You don't have to do it, but I think it looks great!
Pretty girl!

@@SitStaywithStacySlade thank you very much. I'll try that. I have been trying to give her treats but she won't eat them when it's near her.
Thank you!

Does anyone know of a good groomer in nj
Tips on how to harness a dog if you don’t have any special equipment?
Harness a dog to do what? I use a harness to draft or track. Otherwise I use a limited slip collar or martingale for walking.
Do you use the thinning sheets on the matt
Yes, you can!
