I keep about a 4 month stockpile of foods with long shelf lives. Peanut butter, honey, oatmeal, pancake mix, mashed potatoes, canned meat, mac n cheese, canned soups/fruit/veggies, etc. Also lots of water. I try to do foods we eat regularly and just rotate stuff out
Great idea! This would also be a great dish, for young kids camping. Because its simple & easy. I wish we'd have done this, camping by ourselves, at 13.
You can get ghee, butter, honey, jam, jelly, nut and seed spreads, chocolate spreads, as well as salsa, taco sauce, mayo, mustard, ketchup, soy sauce, pasta/pizza sauces, and soft cheeses in small packets.
Tuna/chicken/salmon in pouches. Any dried rice or beans (lentils cook faster than other beans), oat meal, seeds and nuts, root veggies, whole fruits for several days, hard cheeses, hard salami, bread/tortillas, corn flours, lettuces (for a few days), squashes (winter types last longer).
Thank you so much for the video. I I never considered the non-refrigeration cheese. I had seen it at the grocery store, but never really clicked in my brain that there’s a type of cheese that does not need to be refrigerated. I love cheese and while I was living in my car, I missed being able to cook with cheese at the moment, I have a small room with no refrigerator. I will definitely keep this in mind. 🙏🏼
This is great! I love doing stuff like this too! Another great content 👍
Thanks !
