I have decided that I just want to live at Missouri Star Quilt Company, in all the fabric, notions, .....and be adopted by Jenny Doan! Haha! I could spend the rest of my life just sewing and making quilts and things in that great environment!
Lizzystitch484 me too!
Me too!
Good idea
Take me with uou! I live and hour away from the Quilt museum in Paducah...I should move in there!
Please can I come with you……looking longingly from England! Xx
I made small ones of these last year. Embroidered the names on one of the strips and used them for Christmas gift tags. Every one loved them. Thanks MQC!
These would be cute for pot holders or trivets too. You come up with the cutest ideas :)
How time passes! Remember watching this video when it first came out and watched it yet again, lol. All the noticable changes, ALL GOOD of course. A HUGE THANK you to Jenny and Missouri Star for inspiring me to quilt. ALWAYS was in wonder how these beautiful things were created. Now I'm part of that and still I'm still in awe of my accomplishments. FOREVER a fateful customer. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
I really enjoy watching Jenny with her tutorials. I am hooked! When I switch to other tutorials I find they are not as good as MSQC and I switch back on again to Jenny.
Thank you Jenny! You are really good! Trelly
Wow what a great idea if you don't have a lot of room in your house, keep them idea's coming , i could sit and watch Jenny for hours many thanks from a very wet cornish country.
I can totally see these as pot holders with a few changes. Wonderful idea. Thanks!
well we made 2 this weekend, each in under 30 minutes ,w Gram doing the cutting and ironing, and grandson doing all the sewing , we added our own touches by using fancy stitches across the topper and the horizontal rows just to practice sewing and he was excited to have a "make it,take it" project all done and ready to give.
I love that Santa fabric. She used it in her mod podge plates tutorial. that's the first tutorial I found of hers and I was immediately hooked. everything she makes she explains so well.
Jenny is the Julia Childs of the quilting word. Thank you!
This is soooo cute! I'm definitely going to try this. Always impressed
with Jenny's tutorials- she makes everything look so easy. Thanks Jenny!
How adorable this is. Great ideas, and they can also be personalized with person's initial. Cool!
Hi Jenny I have to tell you that I just love the way that you teach you make understanding the tutorial so easy;i am a very slow learner but looking at you makes it so easy.Thank you for making my hobby a lot easy. Bernadette.

...using outdoor fabric would make weather proof ornaments. very cool, i like these.
Enjoy your videos and this ornament is just the cutest. Thanks for all the great ideas.
What a cute idea for Christmas pot holders! Thanks for the inspiration.
These would make great hot pads, too, just use a couple of layers of heat resistant fleece on the inside and fabric for the "hanger" part instead of tin foil.
So cute!! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to try! :)
This is so cute! Now I have a reason to buy Christmas fabric! Thanks!
This is really a great idea and I cannot wait to make one for holidays.

OH to be in your brain just for a day, you are truly amazing.!!!!!
Great video - many thanks.
Those would be great for an outdoor tree 🌲 at winter/Christmas time.
great idea!
Very nice!!!
I made about 10 of these today! I have trouble with the tinfoil part. I can't draw one that looks right, but I love the idea and they will make great gifts for next year as well as my own decorations! Thanks for another terrific tutorial!!
ADORABLE!!!
I did a few years ago, thanks for sharing ❤
great idea..thank you
Such a cute idea! If you made it a little bigger and maybe used some felt on the inside you could embroider last names or Merry Christmas and make a stronger topper and hang on a front door to welcome guest!
This is great.
you could also put these on a garland and use different shapes: stockings, bells, bows, etc. Thanks for the inspiration!
CUTE!
wow! its simple but really nice :)
Great ornanent🙏

Amei ! Obrigada pelo carinho.

Thank you I love your tutorials, Marea - New Zeakand
How cute would this be made into a pot holder (batting between) and given with a apron using cordinating fabrics and a jar of cookie mix!
@chattingwithu That is absolutely right! How fun is that!!!!
Neat!!!
Great for fabric scrap hoarders like me!
cute fabric ornaments
Love the idea. Can’t wait to try it. I appreciate the attempts to see all and close ups. Unfortunately, I’m literally getting seasick watching it though. Might want to tweak that part of the filming process a little.
awesome, and they could be potholders too with telfon on the inside!!!!!!
@MsDjvinson That is right I used a honey bun! or 1 1/2 inch strips.
Did you all ever get the little rotary cutter back in stock if not could you suggest one that you do have I got the ruler forgot about it, now I found it I need a rotary cutter to fit it thanks
Who'd a thought tin foil? What a cute idea!!!!
I can see an egg shape for Easter
tumbs up!
What did you use in between the ornament
TOO ADORABLE❣️❣️Thank you so much Jenny🌺What Are sizes of your strips prior to cutting❓❓Jan
oooh!! I love that iron!! What kind is it??? The Ornaments are SO cute!!!!!!!
This is great for my porch!!! Have you ever made any for Easter or other holidays. I think they would look great on the porch. I think maybe 8",10" or 12" would look cool.
That's such a fun idea, Chris!
Chris Ballard the x block Jenn
Egg shapes with spring pastel fabrics!
I just made one, very cute, not as cute or perfect as yours Jenny. But it looks good, practice makes perfect! I love the foil idea!!! I used a bunch of scraps I had to make a scrappy ornament! Where could I send you a picture? Also how about a tute on the tree quilt behind you with the blocks too, very cute!! Thanks Jenny and to the MSQC< love the tutes!!
Love your videos could you give me the name of the rotary cutter you are using or the number so I can order it from your store? Thanks
Have been trying to cut these out with the EZ ruler but having a lot of trouble. What size and brand rotary cutter do you use?
Hola sra, me gustan sus trabajos, ojalá pudieran traducirlos al español.
This is a wonderful idea...so it doesn't matter the width or length of the strips as they will be cut out into a 9"circle?
the idea of fusing aluminium foil was a surprise. like things the are unusual. how durable is it? enjoyed the video
Looks like you made your own ironing surface. Do you use plywood? What do use use on top of the board? Thank you.
do you have a pattern for the sliver top of the ornament???
So very cute! Thank you for showing this tutorial. Would you please share what type of iron you are using? I would love to have a recommendation.
Jenny is using the Oliso Pro Lift Iron. They are wonderful! Here is the link! www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse?q=oliso
would LOVE to visit Missouri Star Someday! love this channel and how you make me, a self taught quilter, feel like I can do this! my question is about the coin wall hanging in the background. can you give me details on fabric requirements used to make that? I absolutely LOVE it and it would go so well in my living room. thanks!!
With this tutorial being so old I'm not even sure Jenny knows where that quilt is. However, it looks to be 2.5" strips cut into 5" long, stacked together with 2 in sashing between the rows. I hope this helps!
@jennydoan57 Ok great! Thanks so much! I wasn't sure...I really am anxious to try this!!
🇧🇷Perfect... Thanks. 🇧🇷✂️📐🧵🤗😍✨😘🙏🏻
Question, for anybody. Please help. Don't you need to peel off the back of the iron on pelon before you turn it inside out?
These are adorable, what weight tinfoil did you use?
HELP!!! I ordered 2 each of the Circle Cutter and 18mm Rotary Cutter (one for my mom and one for me). I can not get the cutter to work with the ruler. What am I doing wrong??
Press down..it will snap in
This template could be used for placemat !
