My fist RC was one of those zip zaps that you could buy in a RadioShack. Then I owned a losi 1/32 truggy. Followed by the losi brushless 1/24 truggy/rally car. Recently the axial scx24 crawler. It’s the ability to RC indoors for me.
@@GummyONSolana even the big one is a bit low quality compared to stuff in that price range generally but it’s nice to have all the extra parts to change and for $100 it’s nice. I would recommend a kyosho mini z or something like that if u wanna spend a bit more and get something that works really well

I got one because of this video and the drift tires! It's sooo much fun! One thing I've noticed is that if you set the front springs softer than the rear, the drifting becomes more predictable. Take out the spring spacers that live on top of the front springs. This promotes oversteer in real and rc cars. You'll find the car less likely to snap back out of a drift when the slip angle is small. There will be a really small amount of ground clearance but otherwise it makes sliding with those open diffs better
Just got one and it is so much fun with the drift wheels. Thanks for the tip with the front suspension. I would also check how smooth the diffs are. My back one was very sticky, so took it apart and managed to get it smoother. Made it much more predictable and easier to control.
I've got mine , going brushless got one way diff up front , solid fixed on the rear , so many upgrades for them , Awesome little rc drift bash around the house
These put me in mind of the X-Mods that were sold at Radio Shack years and years ago. I still have one of those floating around but I lost the controller ages ago.
YOOO I just found my X-Mod NSX need to get some batteries in it. They were so cool you could make them 4 wheel drive body kits a bunch of custom stuff.
Ordered it as soon as u saw it was on banggood, had it a couple of weeks now and I love it and the style. Definitely got enough lights on it. I've put a set of drift wheels and tyres on it and it's perfect for a living room drift 👌

I usually lock my diffs with whippie cushion I just clean all grease out cut little circles to fit and put back together with it pressed in the gears bam locked and rebuild able
I have the drift car with a carbon fiber chassis and aluminum rims. I replaced the electronics so I could use a better radio for smoother control when drifting. I hade to remove the casing of my receiver and bend the pins horizontally but It works pretty well. I’m still working on finding a better body for it.

I love my little rally car from wltoys as shown in the video. It's still going strong its nearly bombproof , were as all my big cars are waiting on parts I can't get or broken waiting on parts 😭. Long live wltoys.

Maybe they do -- I bought some aftermarket diffs for the K989, and they do NOT fit. The drive cups were too short. Maybe I should try the ones meant for Mini Zs.

WL toys isn't a bad company for being a cheaper brand. I haven't bought one in years, but I keep seeing the new ones come out and they look so much better these days.
The k969 is awesome have had mine for two years and baash it! Indoors and out and all ive had to replace is one axle. Def gonna check this out. Have a couple 1/10 scales but the 1/28 is just so much fun in a different way
No they were garbage gimmic things. these herr are cheap 💩 old. Carisma 1/24 looks the way to go. Like a mk2 of the losi 24th series. But with the body shell selection losi owners dreamed of. Even I'm tempted by the lanca evo 4. Then the escort mk2 clear body later. But its still 120£+ and is it really gonna get used this time?
Well for starters since I've been following you, I've got the redcat ,2 hyper gos and now 2 1:28 WL toys. But straight to the point! You got something different than me! The drift I can barely manually push it and the same with the blue buggy but not as bad on the buggy. The motors are ungodly tight up against the diff! 😢😢😢
Those are like the ones they used to sell at radio shack. You could buy all kinds of upgrades for them including lights, wheels and tires, body kits etc. I can’t remember what brand they were but I had a Supra that was cool as hell

Enjoy your mini/micro vehicles in a clean area. We board dogs, have a cat & long hair. I got tired of constantly cleaning hair out of the tires. At home I can only drive a little car about a minute or 2 before a wheel starts to bind.
Locking the diffs need a different differential. Or use thicker compound inside... Just be aware, it's tiny. Also, see the same on yours. The body does not align well at the back tires.
If you can get 10 to 15 guy's with those to race together it would look so much like the real thing. I would buy one of those if somebody in the neighborhood were to set up a track in their garage, and it Tokyo drifts like in the move. "So cool"
Dab of hot glue to lock the diffs, or you can go all out and make them rwd drifters with some mods to the front end and a gyro. I like putting 1/24 model bodys on them, but you need to make a bigger pan. Check out my diy chassis with no special tools needed. Spray paint, powrer drill, hand saw, file, sand paper.
Hey Phil, I make drift tires and wheels for all these wltoys 1/28 scale vehicles. Mine are waayyy better than the plastic ones if you're drifting on concrete or hardwood floors ECT. They give you a much more (scale) drift then the plastic ones because they have slightly more traction, they are made from polyurethane which in case you're familiar is like a hard rubber material. I tried to find your email address on your about page but couldn't find it, all that to say this could a brother also get a link in your video?
@@reggiereg92 thanks for your interest man they are neither metal nor plastic, they are polyurethane which is sort of like a very hard rubber, as for the price it depends on what you want I sell wheels and tires as a set or I sell tires alone. I guess i have to get you some training in one handet driving huh ? lol im used to "walk" my RC-Cars back than when i lived in Berlin i allways had a remote controled car with me. It just has been way to boring without something and god what was my dog a lazy fella hahaha. However that's how i get this nickname "RC-Walker" and i use to drive one handet. Even when im on the track, never had a handheld set ever since my First start i had a Pistol type radio.
I can not tell you how much I love mini rc cars they are so much fun. there is something just so charming about them watching zoom back and forth

I use silicone earplugs to lock diffs. You can pinch it and mold it to the size and shape you want. It gives very little and works great 👍

thin whoopie cushion rubber in the diff planetary's would lock about same as 1 mm sticky back foam sheeting.
