This honestly makes me like Sandman much more than I already have. It shows that Price still had allies, even in the US, and that not everyone was on board with Shepherd and his actions.
Shepard always gave me the vibe of someone who wasn’t afraid to go to any length to get what he wanted, and decided that going against his superiors was what he wanted to get revenge.
I mean to be fair price and co did launch a nuke at American soil making them traitors, Shepard did the logical thing and sent them on suicide missions and when roach and ghost survived he cleaned them up
@@yirawls he had it go off in atmo, not attacking the US. It effectively stopped all Russian momentum because of the EMP of the nuke frying many electronics needed for the invasion. Sandman and Price were already in contact before MW2. The official live action video "Operation Kingfish" shows TF141 and the Delta Force, even including Roach and Frost, working together to raid Makarov's supposed hideout. This is when Price gets captured and why you rescue him from the gulag in MW2. Since they already worked together back then, under Sheperd's orders, it's no surprise the Delta squad clearly grew to hate him upon learning what happened to TF141.

The only thing we get in the new Modern Warfare trilogy I haven't played the third one yet is the subtle change of the name colors going from yellow to red with Graves and Shepherd
And it was literally worthless part of it was to boost the market value of ghost and the other half was because people complained that there was no real deaths in Modern Warfare 2
1:33 How exactly could an English-language tabloid have gotten aboard a Russian submarine, especially considering that the war began a matter of days ago and Shepard’s been dead for less time than even that? A surface ship I could almost see, but nuclear boats stay below water at nearly all times while on patrol. It would have made more sense to have it in the first mission rather than the second. Well Price, Sandman, Frost, Soap, Roach and Ghost all did participate in the Kingfish Operation which Price sacrificed himself to allow the rest of them to escape leading to his capture and imprisonment in the Gulag which we then bust him out and rescue him in MW2 Campaign
"Operation Kingfish" was the overall mission to capture/kill Makarov and was a join operation that took place October 8, 2013 between TF141 and Delta. Kingfish is the codename used for Makarov until his death. Sometime between 2011 and 2013 Shepherd with the help of Soap established TF141. The mission also concluded with the capture of Price and him going to the gulag which he isn't freed from until "The Gulag" mission on August 14, 2016. Shepherd's Betrayal takes place during "Loose Ends" in MW2 on August 15, 2016 almost simultaneously with "The Enemy of My Enemy" where Shadow Company is battling Makarov's men and that is when Price and Soap learn of what Shepherd has been doing. Shepherd dies during "Endgame" on August 16, 2016. Price seemingly wasn't aware of any of Shepherd's actions until during "Loose Ends" and "The Enemy of My Enemy" when him and Soap attempted to contact Roach and Ghost. The "Stay Sharp" mission in MW3 is a spec ops mission not a story mission but it takes place on August 2016, sometime before "Black Tuesday" which happens August 17, 2016 only hours before the events of "Hunter Killer" on the same day. A magazine called "Gossip & Lies" from the "Hunter Killer" mission says Shepherd in trouble but doesn't specify how most likely because it was added as an easter egg just like the photo with throwing knives in "Stay Sharp" to indicate that it was known he betrayed his men and country but in reality he was still declared a war hero and given a burial at Arlington. It isn't until "Down the Rabbit Hole" on October 14, 2016 that Soap and Price clear themselves as war criminals but its unsure if the truth of Shepherd ever comes out as well. The conversation between Sandman and Price regarding the tip on Kingfish leads into "Bag and Tag" which takes place October 9, 2016 which is nearly 2 months after the events of Shepherd's Betrayal and death. Price and company could have warned Sandman and company about what Shepherd really was between August 15 and August 17 before killing Shepherd but it wasn't some crazy inside secret just "Shepherd is a bag guy not a war hero" hence the "History is written by the victors" speech. The video saying that Price and Sandman being in contact could be correct but only in the sense that they talked and not prior to the events of Shepherd's betrayal or any form of inside knowledge prior to those events due to Price having been captured from October 8, 2013 - August 14, 2016 and probably not having much of any interaction within those few days...so while the video is factually correct due to being intentionally unspecified it may not be factually accurate depending on how the creator intended the statement.
I was first introduced to Sandman in The Only East Day was Yesterday in MW2. Little did I know that he would play such a tremendous role in the next game. Speaking of which, do you know what happened to Frost? In the second last level, “Down The Rabbit Hole”, he wasn’t even shown in the level. We played as Yuri and the only people from the Delta Force that were shown was Sandman, Grinch, and Truck. Does anyone know the reason to this?
I heard that one of the snipers on the mission that Shepard kills roach and ghost was Sandman, Frost and Archer. Not sure the credibility of this but the OP Kingfish trailer also shows Frost and Sandman as snipers covering TF141 before price is captured in the Gulag. It’s believed that when the snipers relocated while waiting for the DSM to upload, they actually bugged out because Shepard ordered them too. Archer, Frost and Sandman
nah the snipers that cover you are killed by shadow company, you can hear radio chatter of the helicopters using thermal to spot and kill them during the betrayal
Frost and Sandman would have been hunted down during that mission or had to go into hiding. MW3 starts a few days after “Loose Ends” and Team Metal are in the US fighting the Russians as Soap fights for his life in an Indian safe house. Doesn’t add up. Archer and Toad were the only ones on overwatch.
I figured as much, it makes sense that the Delta members would despise Shepherd after betraying the Task Force they built together. They legally couldn't do anything about Shepherd but I bet if some opportunity arose they would've taken the chance
Given that Price had always looked out for his friends, and he knew that just like he had their backs, they'd always have his as well, I don't doubt for one minute that Price had warned Sandman and his team about Shepherd, so that just in case something had gone wrong in his and Soap's attempt to stop Shepherd, there'd still be that *one* loose end that Price had basically opened, that Shepherd would never have been aware of until it was too late.
If you go back and watch the Operation Kingfish live action video, you see who you can presume is Sandman call out Price's name while him and Roach drag Soap onto the Osprey. Price went down covering their retreat while Sandman hauled a wounded man onto the aircraft. In the mines when Sandman told Price he'd cover him while he got Yuri and the president out, Price knew exactly what was happening in that moment, and Sandman was not about to let Price go down covering him again; he returned the favor.
Well of course he knew, delta force are a special military unit that works for the president of the united state. And plus price sent a huge message to every unit that was still alive during the intro of endgame from the 2009 mw2 game because he thought he and soap were going to die.
Delta or even any other US military unit works directly to POTUS. They are under the command of SOCOM who in turn answers to whoever General that leads the US Armed Forces who in turn answers to POTUS. If there is any unit that works DIRECTLY to any head of state, i don't think it will be publicly known because any rival would be aware they have to deal or subvert this group.
I thought the event in mw3 happened just hours after mw2 so i think price dont even have time to tell everyone about the betrayal, sandman just figure it out on their intelligent or maybe just a easter egg?
I mean Price and Soap both survived the encounter with Shepherd. So with that being said, I’m sure they told everyone in that community that Price was a dirty bastard who killed Roach and Ghost.
I may be out of my mind, but I’m pretty sure Sandman was there at the safe house mission when Shepherd betrayed 141. I distinctly remember seeing the name and thinking “wtf are you doing here?”
@@auraan__ I remember listening 141 is reference to a real task force called 145, but this was years ago. I’m curious to know why 141, and if these numbers have appeared before in the game
OMG I have played this 3 games more than 4 times, with more than 40 hours each and completed 100% every single time (around 200 hours each) and I didn't notice this. Maybe is not about knowing before the betrayal, but more about they didn't like Sheppard for a long time
I love the of mw story but man is it wildly unrealistic the obvious being Russia can’t even take a farming country let alone send an invasion force to the other side of the planet which they’ve never been able to do but how are the gang getting around so easily all over the world if the entire world is looking for them and if sandman and them knew then why wouldn’t they at least try and bring it up at least they kind of fixed that plot hole in the reboot
Thing is, Metal 0-1 is frost, grinch, truck and sandman. That’s it. That’s the thing about special forces units. They’re extremely small. They wouldn’t have stood a chance.
@@S.rosalie.lopez1 these guys are highly intelligent people they held down a army of Russians in the rabbit hole I am pretty certain they can take down a base of mercs
@@S.rosalie.lopez1 The thing is. A small force like Metal 0-1 has all the advantages against a merc army like Shepherd's. Their not tools. Way more smarts and survival skills. Better hand to hand and gun training. Metal 0-1 would annihilate that whole final base in Afghanistan. Just like Soap and Price did. See the trend here? Two men took down that base. What do you think 4 would do? Did you pay attention? Or doze off?
@@S.rosalie.lopez1 They cleared an entire mine shaft and held off an entirely new wave to let the rest of their joint team escape. Pick any terrain or climate to fight on and Metal 0-1 is clearing. Every time. In reality, Shadow Company stands no chance. They lack experience and expertise. Majorly. I mean, bro, that's Delta Force. You really think a band of rent a mercs can take down highly trained soldiers? Even if it's 4 against 50. They aren't winning. Yet alone losing a single guy. They're the last team you want against. Best you can do is pray. Even then, that won't help. You'd be better off fighting against a Grizzly Bear with just a crude club in a cage match.
One thing i dont understand is if the american knew about sheperd's betrayal then why they are still disavowing and a kill/capture order on tf141? That makes no fucking sense! I know mw3 ending is actually unfinished, but at least give us some kind of clue about og price's fate after og mw3 takes place. We knew so far og price was captured because towards the ending scene when price is smoking, we can hear a police sirens, indicates the ending that price was about to be captured. But thats it. Thats all we got
so in military even if someone betrayed orders you cant do much against them for it except go for the Legal route like in the New MW3 where they sent Shepard to court... Sandman could have done something but not to get in any bad trouble he didnt and he was being used through the War since MW2

Archer, Frost and Sandman
what
nah the snipers that cover you are killed by shadow company, you can hear radio chatter of the helicopters using thermal to spot and kill them during the betrayal
@@highoverseer9323yeah I agree they die so it was not frost and sandman
Frost and Sandman would have been hunted down during that mission or had to go into hiding. MW3 starts a few days after “Loose Ends” and Team Metal are in the US fighting the Russians as Soap fights for his life in an Indian safe house. Doesn’t add up. Archer and Toad were the only ones on overwatch.
I figured as much, it makes sense that the Delta members would despise Shepherd after betraying the Task Force they built together. They legally couldn't do anything about Shepherd but I bet if some opportunity arose they would've taken the chance
That magazine can also be seen in the carrier mission in cod ghost
Thanks for pointing that out! It’s always awesome to see fellow gamers catching those little details. Your insights are always welcome!
too bad we didn't get a Mw3 remarstered..would have loved to see Sandman again
Yeah. Price probably told him
I won’t be surprised if Price relayed a message to another person, and they told Sandman of the betrayal.
Well, they were all friends and these guys are Delta Force, so they would know about for sure even if the media was saying something else.
I've always like sandman, price could have told him about the betrayal knowing he will side with 141.
I wish they would remaster the og mw3 like they did with the og mw2 so I can understand what happened
Delta does live-fire shoot houses with real people as the hostages. This game isn't very good but I love that attention to detail.
Bro whos Ever idea was to kill ghost Needs a therapy, Like bro who hurt you

Gaz is my favorite character real gangsta always down for anything lol
If you go back and watch the Operation Kingfish live action video, you see who you can presume is Sandman call out Price's name while him and Roach drag Soap onto the Osprey. Price went down covering their retreat while Sandman hauled a wounded man onto the aircraft.
In the mines when Sandman told Price he'd cover him while he got Yuri and the president out, Price knew exactly what was happening in that moment, and Sandman was not about to let Price go down covering him again; he returned the favor.
So operation kingfish is canon?
@@gabrielaj2066 yeah, that's how Price ended up in the Gulag in MW2
@@gabrielaj2066Makarov is referred to as “Kingfish” in MW3 on a few separate occasions.
Back when COD used to be GOATED
He's a good man
Doesn’t really mean they knew he was dirty, just shows that they hate him. Based on a comment I read
They should have had one of the knives in his eye though
Hopefully we’ll see Delta/ Metal in MW4 or whatever the next MW game will be.
I mean Price and Soap both survived the encounter with Shepherd. So with that being said, I’m sure they told everyone in that community that Price was a dirty bastard who killed Roach and Ghost.
That's amazing you noticed 👏🏼
The fact beo was not in MW3 remake just kills me. Why ill never play any new cod. Fuck.
As sad as it is ghost dies originally it was meant to be sandman so this makes since that sandman knew
there are magazines that have shepherd on them in cod ghosts
Would it be ridiculous to say that i honestly find the original trilogy characters more interesting in retrospect than what we got in the reboot?
How is it not common sense that Shepard is known as a disgrace in the mw universe. It’s his entire motive for betraying tf141 and whatnot.
I may be out of my mind, but I’m pretty sure Sandman was there at the safe house mission when Shepherd betrayed 141. I distinctly remember seeing the name and thinking “wtf are you doing here?”
Its probably a randomly generated name
@@Lego_hq_21 probably
suggestion: what the 141 from the task force name means?
@@auraan__ I remember listening 141 is reference to a real task force called 145, but this was years ago.
I’m curious to know why 141, and if these numbers have appeared before in the game
One for One, and they did die One for One.
you forgot cod ghosts it has the same magazine as in the submarine bruh
OMG I have played this 3 games more than 4 times, with more than 40 hours each and completed 100% every single time (around 200 hours each) and I didn't notice this.
Maybe is not about knowing before the betrayal, but more about they didn't like Sheppard for a long time
200 hours and still finding surprises? Maybe the game is just playing hide and seek with you!
@@alphacodyt and I'm sure if I play it again will find some more surprises 😅😅
I always wonder why sandman didnt appear in the reboot
Shame, they killed the damn trio Sandman, Grinch and Truck.
But they went out like heroes. They sacrificed themselves to save the Russian president and later their was no war
What happened to Sergeant Foley in his squad in Washington DC after the betrayal I hope they lived
I actually love this
I love the of mw story but man is it wildly unrealistic the obvious being Russia can’t even take a farming country let alone send an invasion force to the other side of the planet which they’ve never been able to do but how are the gang getting around so easily all over the world if the entire world is looking for them and if sandman and them knew then why wouldn’t they at least try and bring it up at least they kind of fixed that plot hole in the reboot
Sandman should’ve been in Mw3 remake.
Old enough that people call mw2 modern warfare og😂
Metal 0-1 should have clapped Shepard delta force vs shadow company
*want to be up against.* Sorry for the typo. No one likes edited comments.
Sandman ad shepherd is one
Que gran contenido haces
Glad you enjoyed it
If sandman knew about shepherds betrayal, then why didn't he stop shepherd/ help tf141
I thought Alex(echo 3-1) was going to Sandman
I thought it would be frost
What do I think? YOU RUINED MY CHILDHOOD. I used to cheer him every interaction and now IT GIVES ME GUILT
They know about the betrayal but they can't do anything
so in military even if someone betrayed orders you cant do much against them for it except go for the Legal route like in the New MW3 where they sent Shepard to court... Sandman could have done something but not to get in any bad trouble he didnt and he was being used through the War since MW2
@@brixson7641 because it is the job of military police. Although Sandman is Delta Force Operator and he's MSgt officer he can't do anything
