i’ve been using Apple phones for 8 years. and used to the ecosystem. meaning that i didn’t experience android for a long time. i’m in live with the pixel 6a since it’s compact, powerful, beautiful, takes amazing shots and cheap. but still wonder how reliable modern android is. because i want to keep the phone for a long time and no other phone was quite an eye catcher to me as the pixel 6a was. any thoughts?
Pixels over process dynamic range and lift the shadows too much. I'm a pixel owner so i know 😊 pixels are also under-expose during bright lighting conditions . I have a pixel and iphone and for point and shoot photos I prefer the iphone. Pixel 6a is a fabulous phone though ,even shames the pixel 7

Great comparison! Traded an old Pixel 3a for this today so got the phone for just $150 and free Pixel earbuds worth $99. Cant beat that value for this phone.
Videos and photos were pretty much on the same level to me, but where the iPhone had the edge was definitely using its portrait mode. Google should definitely needs to put more effort into it, maybe starting with less oversharpening of facial features.
Hey Daniel great video. Google decision to use its tensor chip in the 6a was great. The older sensors really benefit from tensor especially the front facing camera's exposure control and color. Really debating if I should pick one up lol.

Nice comparison. I'm currently using pixel 4a and my only computer is macbook pro M2. I record a lot of clips and I also do product photography. I'm looking for a replacement of my Pixel4a. I like it but it's limited to 4G, and I also don't appreciate the problems with transfering files to my macbook. It's just a very annoying those two products don't talk to eachother, so I'm leaning towards getting an iphone. Which one would you recommend? Money is a key factor. After spending a lot of cash on macbook I don't want to go crazy with a phone that can be easily damaged or lost, so this factor is pushing me back to considering a pixel6a. The video footage from both are not that different, it's not like the iPhone blows the Pixel away or anything, it just lower the ISO to introduce less noise.

Thanks, I think if you want good quality videos, buying a good light will dramatically improve low light quality on any phone. Most would perform great outdoors during day time. It’s all up to personal preference at that point.
Pixel 6 a all the way. Good call quality, good camera, good performance, good speaker and good battery life. Definitely a better allrounder than the iphone

Pixel 6a photos are truly fantastic, as that camera module from older devices is just amazing. However, the crazy heating issues forced me to return my model for a refund. I was disappointed in Google =[
The 6a is also using old hardware except for the chip. And both are at a similar price range. So it makes sense to pitch them against each other. Especially given that Google used apples idea of sharing the same chip in all 3 phones
Side by side, I felt it's not even close. The iPhone won handily -- everything look sharper on the iPhone. By if you are not entering a photoshoot contest, the Pixel 6a will do nicely.

Yup! The A series are great and does almost as good. Of course it has some downsides but everyone has different uses with their phones 👌
