I think that the triad will remain my favourite but that is a cool new lock like the scorpion lock on the ad15, it should be implemented in 3 new models, one big like the recon 1, blade 4 inches.

Triad is over built as it is. Better steels and new designs. The lock is done. Once you upgrade a seat belt to a 5 point harness you become a nutter dreaming improvements. Because it's a car, it's a knife, it has a lock on it, it is not a lock with a knife on it...

I can understand the reason behind the development of this new Atlas lock. It seems just as strong and tough as the Tri-Ad lock but offers a more “fidgety” lock that is very popular in the industry. In smaller edc size knives I can see the benefit of the Atlas Lock over the Tri-Ad lock. However, given the legendary strength of the Tri-Ad lock I feel it is still better suited for larger knives like the Sr-1, 4-Max, Rajah 2, etc. I hope CS keeps both locks unless the Atlas is proven to be superior.

@@krystofmraz yep scarp this one & redesign it. 😂
I’d only want a flipper tab as a safety on axis style locks.

    • @krystofmraz

@@luckybassturd7260 this is not axis stile lock, it's more similar to triad lock because there is bar not axial to the blade which is moving but rather solid pin instead and bar is moving paralel to the blade to plug the space between pin and blade. basically, it's similar to triad lock but instead of lever there is sliding bar to clog the gap. Only similar mechanism with flipper capability is compression lock theoretically, but I don't know about single knife using this combination, maybe there is still pin in the way which is hard to relocate.

Hey Stick, a favor to ask for the next blade design. Some of the fellas and i were talking, ya know, the fellas that have over 100 folding pieces in CS collection: We would like the 4MAX to have an Atlas Lock and we want a 4max Atlas with a Tanto Blade design in 35vn steel. Can you make that happen for us? For the people that spend that money on Cold Steel?
🇺🇸👉Crowd Source: WHO WANTS A 4MAX ATLAS WITH TANTO BLADE???

i watched gideontactical's review of the engage and the thing started to rattle like an old man's bones after a bit of slight batoning, then he did the same with a recon 1 and the triadlock literally shook it off like it was nothing.
the new atlas lock looks like a huge fail.

there was never any announcement that the drifter was renamed the engage, this contradicts the lineup that was announced and will confuse buyers who were looking for it.

maybe they had legal issues regarding with naming , as crkt have a drifter

@@PeterCF Announce it then. Hardcores knew this was why. It was a major fail to even prototype anything with that name and then announce it when the crkt has a bestseller with the same name. Looks bad that its silently brushed over with a new name, what else will be covered up is what I'm worried about.

Not just a knife company anymore. I called to find out if the commercial series knives were quality enough to stick to wall magnet and the lady said no…their stainless steel. What the Hell! Of course they’re stainless! They were in fact HC enough to be magnetic but they couldn’t tell me that amounts the entire office of people. SMH
