Thx for the video bro! I referred to it before I went to my shop for tires. Put on Michelin Pilot Power 2ct 150rear and 120/70 front. Only ridden to work and back so far twice. Unbelievable how much a race tire gives you a much smoother ride from stock.
What's your take on the 5 inch wide rear rim conversion kit? I believe you can easily put a 160 or 170 on that rim without compromising the tyre profile/surface contact.
Riding with Cola I believe you can safely have the 5 inch rim in the stock swingarms and it comes with spacers and bearings. I just can't find a review from someone who has installed the kit.
Applause Ndlovu I haven’t seen it. I know from a lot of people on the forums I’ve heard that a 150 handles best on the bike simply cause of how light the bike is. So just based off other people’s experience I’d suggest just going that way. But if you find out otherwise definitely let me know

To revisit the size there is nothing dangerous about pinching the larger tire. You should do what you want, but it's the width of the wheels that limit the tire. There are some available wheels that match the 120 front and 160 rear.

One thing you can be sure , you're going to loose on final speed !
alexandre cruz da costa idk. I might have but now I've got a bazzaaz tune and things so I don't notice it
I ALWAYS wonder why lower cc riders do this kind of stuff...too much effort for zero gain. I say this as a fellow 300cc rider, because once I started thinking about these weird swaps I knew it was time to upgrade to more cc's...currently searching.
Cotivity the tires definitely increase traction. Not the fact it’s a bigger size just the composite of the material. As far as bigger cc’s. That was definitely the goal. Unfortunately when I took my old 750 to trade it in my credit wouldn’t allow me to get a bigger bike. I’ve rode much larger bikes and the want for one is extreme! But I’m stuck with the r3 so I’m just waiting my time.
Riding with Cola Fair Enough...thanks for getting back to me. Ride Safe !
Genial, yo uso Dunlop GPR 300 en medida 160 en mi r3.. saludos..!!!
But it slows the bike
