Exactly, he's probably one of the most honest actors out there, I feel. Even his acting style, he never does anything over the top just to get attention, he stays true to where the character is and he picks movies that mean something to him.
Patrick Swayze, Bruce Lee, Tupac Shakur, these are the only 'famous' people that looked past all the bullshit & saw the bigger picture....yet apreciated the little things in life. They had SOME of the answers, spoke to us on a different plane, they really were zen-like in their own ways. I woulda loved to have been able to have just shaken Patrick's hand & say "Good job Pat, thanks for all the great feelings you've given us all."

A guy like Patrick Swayze should have eternal life guy! I grew up watching Point Break and this film is a life lesson! Freedom man!
What's weird is there seems to be very little publicity for Point Break. It was a BIG film, a big hit, and we have to look at Japanese interviews. That's one good thing about the media these days, we get interviews, commentaries, the whole shebang. What I would give to hear Reeves and Swayze talk me through Point Break. Never gonna happen now obviously.
No he's not. You just see what you wanna see. He's not being hyper and crazy, he's being articulate and quiet. I don't see Ted anywhere in this. Reeves is very much an individualistic person, he and Swayze got along real well.
Nice fighting talk from Reeves at the beginning where he basically disses some of the summer blockbuster competition during the '91 season (Backdraft, Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves). Can't imagine you'd see any actor doing that now even if the interview does take place in another country.
I love how Keanu calls out Robin Hood and backdraft and calls them stupid films on the grounds that they don’t have any heart. This is so refreshing because you will never see someone in today’s PC culture say anything bad about anyone else. There’s something so refreshing hearing this.
I think it was kind of rude and unprofessional to trash someone else's movies you are there to talk about your movie and make people want to see your movie,not shit all over someone else's stuff. You don't make yourself look better by knocking down other people.
I remember Swayze had a great sense of humor in the interviews I watched as a kid - still vividly remember his quote on the connection of his smoking and cancer: *“Will stopping smoking stop the cancer? fuck yeah.... this is the most inspiring movie of all time, the ezy rider of it generation, maybe even more hardcore anti establishment than a Micheal moore doco... The breaking down of the self, and questioning of self against the world that wants to change and destroy who you are as a soul. Beautiful.
Swayze is such a philosophical and introspective guy. He made a fantastic surfer in Point Break. That was a role he was born to play.
