I think a lot of people knew that, especially if they were die-hard fans of Keanu and of River Phoenix. That was a highly publicized death and their close friendship was well known. The movie "My Own Private Idaho" even had people speculating that they were lovers in real life... His friend's death absolutely traumatized him but that doesn't mean it's the only reason he might have been gravitating towards Sandra. Could be part of it... but there "seemed to be" more. or it was just great acting. I don't believe that though 😂

This interview was right after she was married. Her ex-husband had known Keanu each other even before he met her. Keanu said he went to their wedding. All the Lakehouse interviews are funny because she liked teasing him and he got embarrassed so much :'D In many interviews she has kept saying she had a crush on him. I worship their beautiful friendship.
Married or not married to other people, there seems to be "something" in their hearts for each other, beyond friendship. Maybe it just wasn't lived out romantically but that doesn't mean it didn't or doesn't exist in special places of the heart. OR it's simply what we all "wish" to see because they are beautiful together. Not just "physically" beautiful together. ☺

What people dont know is that it was on the set of Speed that Keanu learned of the passing of his best friend River Phoenix. That really messed him up.
I think a lot of people knew that, especially if they were die-hard fans of Keanu and of River Phoenix. That was a highly publicized death and their close friendship was well known. The movie "My Own Private Idaho" even had people speculating that they were lovers in real life... His friend's death absolutely traumatized him but that doesn't mean it's the only reason he might have been gravitating towards Sandra. Could be part of it... but there "seemed to be" more. or it was just great acting. I don't believe that though 😂
