1963 ALVIS STALWART

A weekend away gave me a very rare opportunity to have a ride in this amazing Amphibious Vehicle. It was so smooth over the mixed terrain and I wished we were closer to a river to test its other capabilities. The thumbnail image is from another source, but you get the idea.

Fantastic vehicles, I remember them well from my time in BAOR. That straight-8 Rolls Royce petrol engine has a sound like nothing else.

Phone upside down? Does he think he is Luke Skywalker trying to blow up the Death Star?....OK. We eventually got there. This vehicle has a unique driving position, sat on the floor, and a gearstick what seems to be a million miles from you, let alone the sticks for direction when in the water wading. Best wheeled vehicle ever invented for transporting cargo, Ammo, Water, Fuel on land. Can a Stryker variant do the same?

It wasnt a telephone. It was a shitty gopro that turns itself around at random and the image refuses to rotate the right way up because the shit software believes this is the way it should be 😂

It's a gopro. It has a gyro that screws around for a few seconds before it knows what way I want it to record.
