    I enjoy the fact that you keep them as restorations and don’t go crazy on details

    It looks like it just came out of the box. Excellent work Jason! The BP Alvis Stalwart was one of my favorite Matchbox models and I bought at least 3 as a kid. If you get another one I hope you will consider doing a custom paint scheme as a British Army vehicle to match the other military models you have restored. Thanks for sharing this.

    The Stalwart is a very unique cargo truck. it looks quit Si-Fi like... Even you did a restoration a would like to see such a truck as a military truck. Nice clip.

    Interesting stuff Jason and it looks good as new. I've seen others restore the Alvis but I don't remember the odd-looking glazing piece. I must have another look at Marty's video. Also, I'd never heard of a military version of the Matchbox, must have a look for that too.
    Who knew that these cars take a year to restore?😁
    Cheers for now,
    Dougie.
    EDIT: I found Marty's video and, no surprise, same glazing piece. My TH-cam search for "Alvis Stalwart" produced some excellent footage of the real trucks though - well worth a look.👍

    A little trial and error in reassembly...

    Did you get the broken bit out or not bother?

    • @DieCastRestos
      @DieCastRestos  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Broken bit was totally snapped and it wasn’t a wide enough post to drill it out or even grab hold of with pliers. But happily it snapped back together and holds well with the tab at the front
