@@shawnieleigh6972 Yes we did. And you will if you care at all about your health. Another name for omnivore is facultative carnivore. Humans can and will eat anything, but to truly thrive we *must* eat meat.
There are essential nutrients found only in meat that you must get to thrive. A chimpanzee or gorilla, despite eating some animal foods if they please, can produce all the nutrients they need simply eating plants. You do not.
The stable isotope testing has been done, the anthropology has been done, the comparative anatomy has been done. You are a carnivore. You can eat plants if you want, but you can't change what humans have become.

If everyone cut out suger foods.
    Chips, lollys, sods drinks.
    Chocolate, processed foods.
    Everyone would be much healthier.
If you eat just plant based foods you’ll most likely be a very healthy person.
If you just had meat, you’ll be a much healthier person.

I'm kind of wondering if the reason carnivore works so well is because it's similar to fasting. Like when you're eating the Standard American Diet, it's filled with sugars that make you hungry so you're constantly eating which triggers insulin and adds the extra calories to your cells to make you fat. When you're fasting, you don't trigger the insulin so your body starts to eat your fat stores and you lose weight. With carnivore, you're almost never hungry, so you aren't snacking all day and again your insulin isn't triggered so you eat the fats off of your body. I know that when I eat carnivore, I go OMAD cus even trying 2 meals a day is tough when you're still feeling full.
Wonder if that's why it's so effective..

Well not quite. It is obviously not fasting because you're eating. It works because it's your ancestral diet. Humans are facultative hypercarnivores, meaning over 70% of our diet was animal-based and you need animal products to thrive. It is completely misleading to use the term omnivore because most animals technically are omnivorous, but to use the term implies that we *should* eat everything. This is not to be confused with Obligate Carnivores that don't tolerate any plants or can't even break them down.
A pig can derive and produce every single nutrient it needs from plants if it wants to, it will also eat meat which has them all in the first place. Humans have things called essential nutrients, nutrients it must derive from it's diet because it cannot produce them or very little. Humans can produce most biomolecules it needs, but not all of them, and those nutrients can all be found in meat or only in meat.
Humans are facultative carnivores, like wolves, dogs, etc. Taking pills to make up for the short fall if only eating plants doesn't change our description. Humans can and will eat anything and everything, but that doesn't mean that we should if current health problems can attest to, almost entirely derived by sugars and plant chemicals

@@R3VIV3YOU That never happened to me. And I did something similar. I think the reason is probably because humans actually don't truly need fiber if they are eating good quality animal foods. When you stop consuming fiber, your gut can actually restructure itself which is a natural process and it makes sense because for thousands of years in cold winter months there were times all over the world where humans could only hunt for survival, so they ate primarily meat in the winter. Then once summer time came they were able to add season fruit into their diets. I have indeed studied fiber quite thoroughly and have learned although it can feed good gut bacteria it isn't necessary for optimal health.

I plan to start my water fast in a month; so prior to that I thought I will give the carnivore diet a go. I recently moved from New Zealand to India and found it very had to source clean pork(as everyone around here says its not safe in this country as it contains ring worms), Beef which was just so good back in New Zealand, I gave buffalo a try but its just not as fatty and the taste seems weird. I really enjoy the Goat here and thought maybe I will try eat the organs such as liver and brain to give me all the essential minerals. I was just wondering Im moving from free range to caged animals will it be safe for a carnivore diet and if you guys have some other food suggestions that I can include in my diet? Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's going to be my first time trying this diet. Cheers

Asked my Cardiolgist about the carnivore diet and he said no way. Animal protein clogs your arteries, that is a fact. Basically he told me limit animal protein and eat more veggies/grains. The reason why you lose weight on the diet is that animal protein has way less calories then fruits, grains etc. So your eating less calories, magic you lose weight and your not as hungry. And in reality very few people can stay on that diet for very long, they get thin and you don't see them for a few months and they gained the weight back and more. Calories in and calories out, that about it!

    • @thelaststylebender1678
      @thelaststylebender1678 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

bull shit. Animal protein doesn't clog your arteries. It's all that sugar you're constantly consuming from your grains and your fruits that's going to do the damage. The diet works. Your cardiologist is an ignoramus.

Nothing new about the carnivore diet. It's incredible benefits have been known since the dawn of mankind. Keep it high fat, moderate protein and if necessary, low carbs. Plant based and poor quality food manufacturers are fighting historical carnivore diet with all the money they can. Grass fed meats have a significantly less impact on the environment than growing enough plants to feed the world. After reading a study by Stanford, Harvard and UC researchers, the impact of grass fed vs plant farming is so significant that you wonder why more farmers don't switch to grass fed meats.

    Hello,
I have been suffering from violent psychosis for some time now and I have a lot of inflammation constantly. It's just horrible to live with. I mainly eat vegetables, just a few fruits, and meat represents only about 5 percent of my diet.
The problem is that since I've been doing this for a year, my condition has been getting worse and worse, even though I'm supposed to be doing well. Anti-psychotics help, but it doesn't stop the terrible suffering.
I tried the carnivore diet for 2 months, and initially I felt better, but unfortunately, I went back to where I started, and it even got worse after that, which made me go back to vegetables.
I don't understand anymore, because if you listen to the scientific literature, the gut flora needs some vegetables, and how can people eat like this for years without being horribly constipated ?
I am lost, and unfortunately I am reaching the end of my rope. I don't know what to do to improve my health and reduce the constant inflammation. I haven't mentioned it, but despite my diet, I walk every day and yet I have the same belly as a pregnant woman.
If anyone can shed some light on this, I am open to suggestions.
    Thank you.

So I did the lion diet (red meat, bone broth, salt and water.) into the carnivore diet.
I stopped the lion diet on the 10th day and this was the results.
The negatives: lack of energy, sometimes as long as 2hrs leading up to my next meal. I found out I needed to include a lot more fat/fatty meats as fats are what are needed for energy but I had trouble getting enough which is the main reason I stopped at 10 days. Eating the same meals every day was a slight mental drain and sometimes I couldn't eat what I needed too because I was so used to nicer flavours. I found I was adding to much salt to compensate for the lack of flavour which did leave me slightly dehydrated a few times. Probably the worst part was the constant headache from, I'm assuming, withdrawals from certain foods, like sugar.
The positives: I felt more mentally balanced, more switched on and no brain fog (except when I got tired, which was 2-3 times a day between meals), no mood swings (which weren't noticeable before but I did notice when they had stopped). sleeping was easy, normally it would take 15-30 mins but I would fall asleep with in 10 mins every day, it was easier to wake up and felt like I had slept well every night.

Give it time. It takes weeks, months, and years for your liver and kidneys to flush various toxins out of your tissues once you stop depositing them there daily by ingesting plant foods. Over time your health will progressively improve and your weight will normalize.
Take some Vitamin P (Patience) and STICK WITH IT. Your health and weight did not go bad overnight. The cure won’t happen overnight either. But you will improve. 👍🏻

@@TR1GG3RED The first 2 weeks are the hardest. If you can't handle a strict carnivore diet you don't have to be afraid to season your food. Making 1.5lbs taco flavored ground beef with avocado and raw sour cream is my go to. I eat it every day along with 3 eggs and butter in the morning and it never gets old. I crave it every day. If you can't get enough fat in, eating a few tbsp of Kerrygold unsalted butter is the way to go. Would recommend eating it in refrigerated cube form, as it doesn't sit well in my stomach if I'm basically drinking it.

A very old Chinese woman was once asked, what is the secret of your longevity? She replied, 'eat everything'. I imagine she had survived periods of mass starvation in China: the famines of 1928, 1936, 1942, 1959... these famines lasted 2-4 years each, and killed 50-55 million people in total. "Eat Everything" so your overall constitution is not conditioned to be too delicate too survive. When you're starving you're grateful for anything edible, ask a survivor.

There must be a common thread to the plants that don't have lectins and oxalates. Is it in how we grow the food or are those foods without those things older (like from 100,00 years ago). I wonder if you ate foods like avocadoes and berries (low in oxalates and lectins) would these people be ok? You do need fiber. Fiber provides the body with a means of making short chain fatty acids. This whole thing does not make sense to me at all.

@CookieMonster_ I eat 3 lb of meat a day minimum 8 eggs for breakfast a ton of grassfed butter and I drink raw milk daily. I'm in fantastic physical shape look WAY younger than I am. When I tell people about it the questions are now how can I do that too. Been eating like this for 14 years lift heavy 5 days a week. I agree with you.

@CookieMonster_ I have a good friend that has the same issue. I don't know if his is as extreme as yours with gluten but I know it's really bad. Just like anything people have to experience it for themselves (carnivore). There's a reason I would imagine plants are so low in bioavailability and animal based is so extremely high. But just my opinion not saying anyone is wrong.

Carnivore diet is great for loosing weight but boring longterm. I miss the variety of vegetables and junk food. So maybe people can vary.

That’s comes from eating disorders. Eating for reasons OTHER than satisfying hunger. Eating should be a necessity - not a pleasure seeking activity. If you seek pleasure through dining you are food addicted and trying to stimulate the dopamine secreting reward center in your brain.
Don’t dwell on food. Dwell on living your BEST and HEALTHIEST life! 😃

You can't make this stuff up. We should all just give up on the art of cooking and only eat raw meat like cavemen.

don't blame you to be confused after 100 years of anti-meat propaganda. Meat is a health food. Cut out the grains and the sugar and replace it with fatty meat, fatty fish, and eggs. Eaat once or twice a day without snacking. The first two weeks may be hard but afterwards you'll be happy that you followed my advice. Meat doesn't cause cancer. Meat doesn't cause heart disease.
