Russia isn't strong anymore, having 2 powerful opens like kosheleva and voronkova will not help the team. They must have one open that will help on the floor. (I'd say fedorovsteva and kadochina should be there this 2021 VNL.) Parubets is fine but she seemed so lazy defending on court. Their libero also is inconsistent(libero should always be in a top game because other recievers are awful). They have the best attackers in the world(no doubt, even middles are tall strong and powerful) but they need service reception first! Their digging is fine but service reception? Awful. I must say they should incorporate young players from underage bracket, they perform better than their senior team. One thing that I also noticed, Goncharova is so dull on the court. She plays just for the sake of playing the game. Where's the liveliness? She plays consistently, yes(a great opposite, id say she's the 3rd best opposite in europe) but we should see the old Goncharova, the aggressive and the lively one!! Starseva and Romanova also isn't consistent. Their middles are also slow. It's awful to see that a great nation with beautiful history of volleyball ended up like this. I'd still support you Russian team. ROCK THE TOKYO, GIRLS! REDEEM YOURSELVES!

Fedorovsteva is looking very promising though, just hope that she makes it to this year’s VNL squad so we can see how she fares up on the international senior level against world class players. In my opinion the Russian women team needs a foreign coach, just like their male counterparts. Maybe then will there be more variation in play. The team’s World Cup bronze in 2019 will hopefully inspire them to do better in the future. They have amazing players, they just need another Karpol to light their behinds on fire and get them going haha

The legend Sokolova is part of Russia's volleyball federation(in charge of selecting players(?)). I hope they'll gonna bring new and young players. Russia's future is looking bright☀️
fedorovtseva is a prodigy. she played in vnl, olympics, & eurovolley being one of the top scorers with goncharova. she lacks floor defense though but she's still young so i hope she can still improve it.

I agree those Italy serbia and Netherlands and even Poland dominate their pools winning sets by a big margin however Russia almost lost sets to belarus and Switzerland
