I'm just beginning to look into fluid simulation. Thanks so much for this tutorial, you explain everything well. :)

hi Gabriel, You said there is a problem if inflow object is too small compared to domain. I am trying to make a shower head water simulation where jet stream of water comes out of many holes of shower head. how can we make it or cheat it ,which is less resource consuming?

Hi, well I believe you can create that effect if you cheat on the size of your scene and create several inflows for your holes. That's the first idea that came to my mind. Good luck and let me know if this helped!

    Gey Gabriel,
I have a problem, the fluid doesn't recognize the obsticle, it seems it ignores my field and drops right through it.
BTW great tutorial! thanks alot :D

      Hi! Thanks!
Well, have you checked if in the collision you have volume selected for volume initialization? (try the other options as well) And be careful with the size of your scene, I believe if your scene it's too small blender will have a hard time calculating collisions. Also remember that you have to clear bake if you want to recalculate any change you made in the scene.
Let me know if any of this works for you!

Is there a way to make a "low poly" water simulation. Or something that matches better the look of the water in this particular scene?

Fluids are one of the weaker points of blender unfortunately, very difficult to achieve convincing results especially if the container obstacle is transparent (there tends to be blockish segmenting between the fluid and the obstacle). I hope there will be some kind of plugin or development in this area for 2.8 (I remember hearing about Mantaflow integration some time back).

Fluids and soft bodies. Very glitchy and slow to calculate. Mantaflow will be an awesome step further for Blender if that ever happens. Maybe, someday. Now that blender is so well developed in modeling, animating and rendering, it's only missing the VFX boost.
