This is my favorite pro controller I’ve tried so far. I’ve tried scuf reflex, dualsense edge and Xbox elite 2 controller and the edge is easily my favorite. The software is amazing and everything on the controller feels perfect for my hands. The elite controller is just way too bulky and the back buttons stop working for no apparent reason sometimes. The stick module on my scuf broke after a month and they wanted me to pay to ship it back and then wait for them to repair it and ship it back. Just absurd. The edge is my favorite so far and the only con I can see is battery life and that’s not an issue since I play wired. If you want to play at a higher level on competitive fps games you’re gonna want a pro controller. It really is a hell of a difference.
I have to agree with you. The software is an amazing part of the actual edge controller and yes, the downside to this controller. It is indeed the battery. I’m really close to my console so I can actually use the wire itself, but I tend to play wirelessly all the time. As for the elite 2, the issue I ran into with this controller is that the right bumper button doesn’t work, so I had to re-map it down to one of the paddles. After some extensive research I did notice that many people are having the same problem as me. So, in your opinion, do you think the scuff controller considering all the issues you ran into is it actually worth the price tag that it’s under? I think that the edge if it would’ve been price lower than $200 it would’ve been a perfect controller but the fact that it goes into that $200 range that’s what ruins it in my opinion.
I actually love the software customization and the feel of the edge. My issue with it is I wish it had 4 back buttons. I use my Scuf reflex when I need 4 back buttons and lean towards the edge for single player games.
The customization part is really good but I feel that Sony should have stepped outside of their comfort zone and made the controller a bit beafier to place those other two backpaddles.
So after 5 hours...take a damn break and recharge it. Ridiculous to spend that kind of time on a video game anyways. 5 hours is plenty of time. It's a great controller.
My one biggest immediate con however is only two back buttons vs the Xbox elite four...those are usually ideal for replacing the face buttons,but with only two that no longer works.
I have a similar issue with my elite one button stopped working . No problem I reassigned it to the backpaddles. They could have placed the long paddles and the dome shape ones and created a slightly larger controller. I would have been ok with that.

The placement of the back buttons on the elite controller are just oddly placed unless you have large hands. I just couldn’t get used to it. I talked to a friend recently and two of the back buttons stopped working on his elite controller within a couple of months.

Great video! I find it really helpful how one can even customize the stick sensitivity. However, I was wondering if there's an option in the software to reverse the direction you move the stick! That's the only feature I'm dreaming on having, specially for the right stick and controlling the camera. Is there some place you we can upload feedback or request this feature?
My Issue Atm is I Kinda wanna Wait to see if they Release Colors. Really Hoping they Do. It'd be Nice if we could assign face buttons onto the FN Buttons as well.
Great controller but can't replace my hex for warzone as it's only got 2 Paddles and the battery life is absolute trash. I left it on for 2 hours from full on standby and came back to one bar what the heck. Apart from lack of paddles and battery it's an amazing controller
I’ve been contemplating on getting a hex controller. What do you think of it? Yeah the battery does suck on the Edge. The thing that baffles me is why go backwards with the battery size instead of increasing it due to the new functions.

The controller has been reliable and has done well for the price. In Australia the edge is $339 but my hex was $250. I still love the edge for single player games and street fighter but to me the battery is to much of a draw back for the price
What kind of games do you play for the FPS game? I normally play rainbow six siege that’s the only shooting games I play do you play that game? I do have that controller.
All the talk about battery life is a whole new level of laziness. God forbid you plug it in. This new generation of gamers is cheap as hell, given that most pro controllers start at $250 without haptics or interchangeable analogs. If $200 is too much money to budget, then perhaps consider sticking to PS+ for PS4. It's crazy to want the best options without having to pay for them.
@@DadLifeGaming i know 😭😭but the main things is that the edge has the replaceable stick drift but it has only 2 paddles while scuff controller has 4 paddle but you can't easily replace the stick drift therefore is not durable but it's more useful due 4 paddle. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO 😓
The removable analog sticks for cheaper replacement is the only real reason I'm considering this. I've had awful luck with drifting dual sense units
Someone will be creating Hall Effect thumbsticks for the Edge which should help out a lot with the stick drift.

The elite doesn’t work on ps5. So they really is no point in mentioning it. This has 2. Which is better than none on the stock.

In all honesty I have not tried out the scuff controller but the Edge has a bad battery life you can't get more than 4 hours of gameplay with it.
