trying to get caught up. LOVE everything about the Shimano SLX reel. I put it there at the top of the $99 reel, next to the Lew's Speed Spool LFS. IMO, the best two bang for the buck bait casters.

I'm not pretending the concept is new. I fished with Shimano Curado's and aCastaic that had an INSTAGAGE decades ago in bass tournaments and am well aware. Thanks for stopping by and watching the review on this new LEWS reel.

@@FishINwithGRAMPS back in the late 2012 Daiwa had brought the Alphas Air to the USA market but it didn’t sell that due fact we America never grasp the idea and plus I think Shimano have try with their Alderbaran BFS but it didn’t go anywhere so they never brought back
Great video .. I have a few lews .. I’ve been in the habit of NOT tying the line to the reel spool .. just using the holes to grab the line .. you think this is a bad method ?
I'm stuck at work right now, but if you find my video from a few weeks ago called Cold Water Bassin, or something like that, I do a quick overview of it and think i put a link in the descript. That bag and my Lew's backpack have been getting a lot of questions and those two reviews are getting recorded next weekend.
Not yet, for now it will sit on the Lew's Custom Black rod when on the bank/boat or the Mojo Yak M/H when in the yak. Watching Andy Montgomery's social media feeds, it sound he and Lew's are working on a rod specific for it.

The idea of shallow spool is not new Daiwa and Shimano does in the past it just that the idea never sell in America like ten years ago

It does the high end of bfs but not the ultra light, but maybe you can with the right rod power
