    First, great job there. Second, you did a rod/reel review some time back about the Berkley Lighting Shock Rod with a Black Mac on it. All the Lew's I own that are Orange & Black are on those Berkley Rods. They go great together both in performance and in aesthetics. Third, you talked me into buying another rig. 👍

    Just to clarify, the Pro Sp didnt just barely get by for BFS, it handled that true 1/16 oz lure EASILY, and it had plenty of braking in reserve

    Looks to me like; Lew’s took the ideas of a BFS design reel and rebranded it as a Special skipping reel design. Aren’t you glad they thought of that idea all by themselves? The good thing is; you can buy a casting reel with an American brand name with a good warranty. Hope people know that you and others that brought using BFS casting reel ideas to America. Need the credit you deserve for enlightening anglers about casting light line and lures on casting reels.

    I think I'd rather take my $200 and find a 12-16 Aldebaran bfs on ebay and get that long term buttery smoothness from the 4 or 5 Lew's I've owned?

    • @THEREELTEST
      @THEREELTEST  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That Aldebaran 50 with the BFS spool I showed at the end has the same weight spool as the Pro SP. Thats why I knew this reel would be great for BFS. I have the prev gen Aldebaran BFS and I think I like this pro SP better due to the much larger brake range adjustment with external dial. Also the 12-15 Aldebarans, the spool tension does not like to stay in place. You will find yourself readjusting it after a few casts.

      @@nevahenuf true they are all comparable it's just abu edges that comparison out. Especially when it comes to overall power and durability. But the shimanos win in most other categories so if you switched the factory shimano drag with a high end carbon like on the Revo's and beast reels then you'd have a badass shimano. And maybe switch the main gear and pinion while you're at it because they'll strip on stripers too.
