Just wanna say a big thank you. After couple years battle I decided to get a trap. After your tutorial here, we got trap and within couple hours after set it up, Bang... finally got the bugger. Thanks again for your detailed instructions. 👍 👍👍
I've tried Talpex, tunnel mole trap and supercat vole trap so far. Moles are constantly triggering and backfilling my traps. Also, they started to dig much deeper, sometimes they create another tunnel just under my trap. Result so far - 0 moles. Any advice appreciated :)
Always kick hills over a week before laying traps so you can see where the mole is active. If you have a clever mole it is sometimes better to remove all traps for a few weeks to let it get less wary of strange new things in its tunnels. When you put the traps in put plenty of traps in not just one or two. We tend to put 6-10 in on even small jobs. Maybe use different trap types all at the same time. Hope this helps.
I've got probably 5 different kinds of traps and have only caught them with the harpoon trap but lately nothing is working. I bought 8 of those barrel traps and so far the mole hasn't gone through it. The tunnels are random going all over the place and are near the surface, not deep like the ones in the video. I'll keep after them. Our soil is too rocky and hard for a scissor trap. I've tried the Nash trap and same issue, ground too rocky and hard, but moles have no trouble digging through it.
When you're placing trap in place the camera goes from the hole to your face not getting an accurate way to cover the trap.otherwise good video.I'll search for another video before setting trap.thanks
Yeah, I've tried everything and nothing works. We have Mole tunnels and no Mole mounds of dirt so we cant use mounds to catch them. We have put a trap in every tunnel and still zero moles caught. All this internet crap is in a perfect world but when there are no mounds are s million tunnels the internet Cannot help you
I do this for a living. When you have a year's worth of tunnels your out of luck and it's a waiting game. There is no special run. There are no feeding tunnels. Everywhere can be used at any time. It's hard and extremely frustrating (especially when your going to customers houses 45 mins away for a week, which is what I'm battling at the moment. I come to watch videos to see if I'm doing anything wrong. I'm not. I carnt find anything different to what's being shown in these vids. It's purely a waiting game. The more you get in the better your chances.
They carry listeria, break horses ankles with their tunnels, spoil silage, ruin golf courses, etc, etc. There is no legal way to move a mole without killing it (I don’t make the laws, the government does).
I don’t like to kill them, but they completely destroy the lawn and they tunnel under the paths and cause them to drop. I wouldn’t kill them if it weren’t absolutely necessary, and there’s no way to prevent them coming in, and they don’t seem to have any effective predators to control the numbers.

@@jasonsaddler3278 if it’s a big joke b we always kick over all the hills a week before we start trapping.
Then get as many traps in as you can.
I can't see the trap very well
Take a closer look through these:

The tunnel mole traps are much better
I don't know why you kill moles ??? What harm do they do ?
