*RULES NOTE*
- We mis-played how Castle Garenbrig should have worked in this game, it should not have generated the additional mana due to Damping Sphere and the mana should have been only used for activated abilities. Due to the mana that was tapped and the overall outcome of the game, this additional 1 green creature mana that was generated does not majorly impact the game at all. Apologies for the confusion
there is another error on the video, when bill cracks his first spell he gets one card but the card that apears on the card screen is another
As of June 10 TH-cam has disabled their in video poll system
I love seeing lower tier commander being played in a high tier format I would definitely enjoy more like this one
why isn't anyone playing any reshuffling graveyard against mill? @~@
Shouldn’t Persistent Petitioners not work due to Phyrexian Revoker?
More flavor, slightly less competitive is fun to see every now and again. I'll take more of that
I pesonally like these lower power matches as they are closer to the level that my playgroup plays at.
Agree. This is still higher power than what I play, but it is more relevant compared to I play.
Soo true pls more
Agree
A Mill Deck winning and not actually by just sitting there, no, by killing 2 people with Mill! That's so awesome! We just needed this Commander!
I'm so happy! LOL gotta buy those peticioners
Phenax does it pretty easily as well.
Shouldn’t Persistent Petitioners not work due to Phyrexian Revoker?
This deck with Ambassador Laquatus and Dramatic Scepter/ High Tide is something I think would be very good.
This is really my favorite type of powerlevel in commander. Optimized decks, but not too combo heavy, and not just "meta-commanders". I hope you`ll do more like this in the future.
Lower power, varied games is what commander is all about. Watching competitive you get tired of seeing Thassa’s oracle lines. This style helps people like me see new commanders and new ways to play. Thanks for your work guys!!
Yes. Some more lower power fun stuff. Your narration and gameflow is great to watch so love expanding the content to more fun and flavorful commanders!!!
Awesome game! loved it. Please more Bruvac and Tinybones :D
"Joseph plays a tapped spire garden." Feels weird man
I definitely like seeing the new commanders in action even if the decks aren't your typical cEDH level. I like the variety that commanders like these bring to the table. It's a great way to see how these cards work and get ideas for my own deck-building. Nicely done!
At 12:39, Jordan should not be able to cast Persistent petitioners due to Pyrexian Revoker
Nice and fun game! I played one where my opponent put a helm of the host on the mill commander. That got out of hand very quickly.
I really enjoyed the video! It is the epitome of your name and I would love to see more. Thanks guys!
These kinds of decks are way more fun to watch in my opinion
As a fellow mill connoisseur, I loved watching this. Keep up the good vid grind.
I love this sort of stuff, and it's what I think of when I think of just the phrase "casually competitive". I enjoyed it a lot!
21:48 "He passes the turn to his friend Joseph" HAHAHA
this channel has served as my personal intro to more competitive edh, especially learning what all goes into win cons and deck building. that being said i absolutely love this lower power pod because it is almost exactly where my group already plays at in terms of themes/level of optimization. i look forward to whatever else you guys end up putting together in the future!!
Very good narration of all the triggers. Great game.
I enjoy this game-play much more than the competitive style. There is more tension, and the cards have more room to breathe. Either way, I enjoy all of your content!
Loved this game. A refreshing change of pace from the traditional wincon lines of play.
I did not expect Neyith to be a stax commander. I'm still confused about that one. I don't even know Bill's game plan, he didn't do enough to get going.
Great game though - best of five? I'd seriously like to see a small series with these decks. They actually go so well together it's like precons made to be played against each other.
Very cool match. I like the slower cedh play as I’m still fairly new to mtg in general but like the more focused casual decks. Keep up the great work and I’d love to see more videos like this in the future
I love seeing these new commanders and other low powered or less focused commanders as well. Seeing variety and less used commanders is always something interesting to watch, imo.
Enjoyed this video way more than the normal inf. combo-centered games. Please do more like this one :)
This was a really fun game to watch! I can't speak for others but I enjoyed this much more than the "turn 3 inf-combo-wins" 😅
More videos like this! Definitely keep up the more competitive videos but games with less powerful/less played commanders with high power cards is super fun and interesting to watch.
I like that idea. Taking non cedh commanders but building them to their fullest extent to make them "Casually Competitive"
Nice game. I appreciate you explaining the revoker play line. I was a bit confused. I like the lower powered content. This game was really good.
Love seeing the high-power, but non-cEDH gameplay!
One of the bests videos in this channel. Please make more content from less comprtitive commanders.
5:12 "gets him a tapped Canopy Vista to the battlefield" the overlaw shows Scattered groves. Is it important? no, it just felt like an easter egg for some reason lmao
Personally, I dont feel like Emiel wasn't given due justice for how powerful of an effect that 3 mana flicker really is, and I didnt see a reason besides maybe 2 infinite combos. In my experience, it works better as a toolbox etb commander leveraging cards like woodland bellower, fierce empath, phyrexian revoker, fiend hunter, leonin relic warder, rec sage, etc. The infinite mana combo I use in my build of it is either hyrax tower scout to untap things like marwyn or priest of titania, or village bell ringer to untap all my mana dorks. It has been able to hold it's own against blue farm, urza, blood pod, and many other tier 1 decks
Love the more "casual" decks!
Just as much as the content ❤️ thanks and have a great day
So great to see a mill deck win! Not so much slugging, but it was a nice slow burner.
I enjoy all your videos but ones like this I enjoy more because they are much easier to follow and make me feel as if I could possibly stand chance with my deck
Loved the video, more of this would be great, I'd love to see a Tribal pod.
Loved seeing these decks! Thank you for putting out this vid!
Really enjoyed the video. Good job guys
absolute pro those "lower-powered games"
I enjoyed this video where it was high power level but not the same combo that's used in every game pretty much. Games get a bit predictable with some decks due to the nature of cedh. That being said ur really the only channel dedicated to cedh so either way you decide to go I will still watch.
Good game. It wasn’t as high powered as normal, but it was nice to see a change of pace. It was also cool to see the new commanders
Really excited matchup.. I would have liked to see more ETB creatures hit the board for Emiel, he had all the mana in the world.
I quite like these powered down games, feels more like the games I play with friends
Loved this one. Power level was fine for me!
really enjoyed the video and decks
If I remember correctly Joseph used mana from Castle Garenbrig's second ability to pay for Neyith triggered ability, which is illegal since castle's mana can be used to pay for activated abilities, not the triggered ones. It's a minor mistake that didn't change the outcome of the game by much but it's still good to know for the future
also, damping sphere stops castle Garenbrig generating 6 green.
@@undercat1329 You're right I forgot about existence of this artifact one turn after it was played lol
We did as well, apparently. Luckily it only really generated 1 more mana than could have been generated normally and overall the additional mana didn't majorly change anything
Mixing in lowered powered games is kinda fun to see. Maybe you can do a thing where you play a lower powered games and then later show off a more powerful version to show what the commanders are fully capable of.
19:55 slight misplay that did not change the game however. Castle garenbrig mana can't be used for the triggered ability of Neyith. However Joseph had another Mountain he did not use in this round so he did have the mana to do the same but correctly
I don't particularly care about the power level of the pods, but I do like it when the decks don't have specific combos in mind. A pod of entirely win con-less decks would be interesting.
That's the first time I've ever seen another person play withering boon
This is pretty awesome!
I was ready to see some fight action from neyith, and ooohhh life deception when I see he build a fighting theme commander as a stax deck.
Great eposide! Commander for me Is about this kind of games!
The mill commander is very scary with some cards just milling the entire deck by milling half.
I like the power level here. No I need to win but you want to. You get to play with the fun cards, keep power level up and not have archetypes or commanders completely blanked because they are not the best ones. I love this style it's my personal favorite.
A mill deck winning in a cedh game. That’s fantastic 😁
Bruvac definitely made mill great again. I gotta get him for my phenax mill deck for sure.
Yes, please do more videos like this.
He couldn't even say Hornet Queen with a straight face
The tinybones player could have saved himself responding to the dramatic reversal with the sudden spoiling
Shouldn't Castle Garenbrig's second ability generate only a colorless instead of six green?
it should but they missed, and it didn't matter for the game
Now this was very cool!
I love these commanders
Intruder alarm really needs to go in a Bruvac Petitioners deck.
Poor Adam, he chose the wrong ulcerate target at 11:01...that mill commander was his undoing
Daaamn....no boardwipes!?! Zero!? Great game regardless
I'd like to see "competitive tribal edh"
Tribal I think is always fun and if y'all put the competitive twist on it I think it'd make for a good video
Also having 2 players go out to milling is pretty funny and rare lol
*YES PLEASE GOD YES PLAY COMMANDERS THAT ARENT JUST SUPER POWERFUL AND CEDH*
Id LOVE to see cat dog tribal with the new naya commander
I recommend you check out MTGMuddstah
@@wyattdowning6742 He's great. Love em
Everybody took a dump on Bill for no reason, poor guy lol
Around 13:00 Jordan played a Persitent Petitioner despite Joseph having a Phyrexian Revoker naming Petitioner
And again around 18:00
jordan mills adam the first time with three persistent petitioners
Petitioners says "tap four untapped advisors". Jordan tapped those three petitioners and his commander, so no rule broken.
Honestly shocked at the t1 mental misstep on altar of the brood from the deck that WANTS to mill everyone. Very bizarre
Just starting to watch the video, but I have to shout out to Sudden Spoiling. I love this card so much, noone ever expects it
More decks like this please
As a thoroughbred fan of green and trample, I really love the new Neyith commander‘s “Double Power” ability. I really want to combine that with dictate of the twin gods type cards to just wreak havoc
I don't know I felt as if it didn't focus at all on the fight mechanic I mean your playing green red the boar should have been blown up or everyone should have been beat down to below 20 life at lwast by the end but the deck was just ...... eh
Will there be a tshirt with the beverage logo available soon? Looks so sweet, gotta have one
I can't believe I just saw competitive mill. And it won!
Nice game.
I would like to see more games with budjet in mind, rather than mere power level. The large majority of players doesn't play with Mana Crypts, original duals and so on.
I'm not for or against it. I do like the plays bringing the competitive mindset to a lower power pod and ill still watch. Also I won a token and since I got it I draw swan song more than ever
I definitely prefer the casual side to casually competitive, as I also watch playing with power and spike feeders, which also tend to be more in the competitive side, so having a bit less combo-y game play channel is really enjoyable. Really great content!
Why not Village Bell-Ringer? You're in G/W with a commander that blinks stuff.
Mill actually won! Oona would be proud!
Cast unmoored ego on persistent petitioners 😂 someone here needs to be the troll
Yes please to the more high powered casual decks, especially if you let us play with you on stream. I'd love to bring my high powered rishkar deck on, something like this power level would be a perfect fit for it.
so what did we learn from this? well, every deck needs an Eldrazi titan in it to reshuffle the deck. But that was a very close game.
Or at least a gaea’s blessing
Can't use the castle on the commander creature triggered ability!!! Attacking with the revoker was stupid as it was the protection against the mill....
I came here to upvote this
totally interested in non combo type game play, lower powered commanders make for more interesting games
Cool video
Traumatize, Fleet Swallower, Painter's Servant with Grindstone.
WOOOO! PETITIONER EDH!
The first time that Jordán mills Adam he actually didnt controlled 4 petisioners
the 3rd persistant pertitioner was unallowed to be cast I think (phyrexian revoker)
Shouldn't dampening sphere shut down crypt ghast's passive ability, or am I wrong? Is it another situation where crypt ghast is the one adding Mana to your Mana pool?
it wouldn't because it makes it so "whenever you tap a swamp for mana add 1 black to your mana pool"
Loved the game!
I would love to see how competitive a Bruvac deck can be. Can it get to the CEDH level.
Cool, but hope you do a high power Zurzoth in the future!
"on the slightly more casual side" but not casual enough to not have someone playing Stax
Bruvac, hell yeah!
8:40 Why didn't bill just tap dryad for mana? Or did he specifically want to block?
Summoning sickness
Just a quick musing - can someone tell me why it's OK to play crypt ghast with the white in the hybrid mana in the text?
