1)brings cards that only affect one guy at the table 2)somehow randomly has both when they are needed 3)throws everything at one person 4)still loses absolute state of red players
The first game was kinda similar, the blue player was kinda forgotten and was not under enough pressure. The other three lose their resources/interactions right before the blue mage won.
Geez you really think that puns are funny? Grow up and branch out your interests. You can't always have the spot in the sun, let alone with dirty watered-down puns. Hopefully this message plants a seed.
Loved the game! The new decks you brought in were super fun to watch. At 23:11, I believe the piledriver should still have been a 1/2 as it's pump is an on-attack trigger, rather than a static ability. It wouldn't have changed much though, as Nate could have still just swung it at Joseph to get the pump, especially with the pro blue.
You should double check the interaction between darksteel mutation targeting the shapeshifter. I want to say there’s a ruling somewhere saying that once the “champion” ability is removed, the championed card returns or something like that.
That was a really fun and surprisingly interactive pod. I think dual colored decks (excluding blue) could make an interesting pod. There should be enough interaction in other colors. Another fun one could be popular commanders, but with an unpopular them (for them). For example Jhoira Super Friends/Legends.
Next time y’all do mono color pods, i would love to see the old jolrael. The one that animated lands. I would love to see you guys’ take on a deck with her at the helm.
You should've mentioned the extra blue mana floating from Frantic Search when you went off with Naru Meha. It took me a while to figure out how you managed to get that fifth mana...
I'm not sure if you'd be interested in revisiting Omnath, and I'm not sure if it would be too competitive for the table, but I also main Omnath and would love to toss a list your way. It does my heart good to see my boy winning. Omnath really doesn't see all that much play these days, so you made an excellent choice.
I'm interested. Where's your decklist? I have a fb group devoted to OG Omnath called OG Omnath Commander/EDH you should join. There's also an OmLoM discord but no one but me is active there at all.
I was so confused by seeing cyclonic rift and pyroblast appear twice in game two, since theres little to no graveyard recurision in red and spellseeker can't check graveyards until I remembered Day's Undoing was played. Great games to watch, maybe green or white should sit out next time for mono black to show up.
Guys, I love watching your episodes and learn a lot from the games played. I get some ideas for cards to put in decks, etc. That being said, there are some mistakes here. Maybe have someone double check next time. Please keep up the good work though.
It was definitely supposed to be Beast Within. I normally edit with a low quality setting so the playback doesn't lag, and I just typed in 'beast' in my card directory and the art looked correct, and I didn't catch it before rendering unfortunately
9:01 you can cast Berserk only before the damage step what happened here? what was the idea of casting it? during combat I get it cause He'd have to sacrifice it at the end of turn but I'm not sure what Jordan tried to do here 🤔
Jordan did many weird things, around 19:00 he chose to cast his commander before playing an elf when he had a Priest of Titania (tap: add G for each elf)
@@signisakanades1329 you can't cast berserk before attacking, that's why I asked also why would you cast berserk on an opponent's creature if you're not gonna kill it at end step?
All three temur colour's seemed very strong in different ways. Stam definitely seemed to be a little weak in this pod despite drawing a boatload of card's. As always great content, looking forward to the deck building video's. 👍💯
Is the reason you Hybridized Sram and not Omnath because you were worried about artifacts triggering a bunch of card draw? Just wondering why you chose that line. Lol @ beast whisperer, u guys trying to keep us on our toes here?
I really liked this, maybe do another tribal commander game without merfolk tribal this time. If we're going more towards the casual side of casually competitive bring out some less efficient tribal commanders
Mono green making triple mana with an unblockable board seems like more of a problem than trying to take out mono blue especially when you have both blasts in hand
That was 100% supposed to be Beast Within. I edit with lower quality settings so it doesn't lag and just search 'beast' in my card directory and the art looked similar at that quality
Just one question, what is the purpose of having a fetch land in mono blue deck? Back to theme, i just love mono decks, just played a few games with "dude where's Macar?!" .
I really like Sram, but I've always wanted to see a deck with Balan, where the goal would be to slam Collosus Hammer asap, give him double strike, and kill someone.
I'm a little confused in game 1; how does he do the combo with only 4 lands out? with the medallion, both cards are reduced by one, but that still only puts the total cost to 5 mana. I thought maybe it was due to the ghostly flicker untapping the lands, but the first ghostly flicker doesn't resolve and untap those lands until after the combo is over.
Frantic Search costs 2 mana and untaps 3 lands. He used it to net 1 mana. He had one floating blue when he cast ghostly flicker, which is why you only see him tap the sun-scorched desert
Okay, so I am not a particularly great Magic player (Especially at high levels), so can someone explain to me why they were running fetchlands in monocolour decks? They only ever used them to fetch basic lands, and the only advantage I can think of is for Landfall triggers and graveyard fuel, but they did not seem to use either. If someone could clarify this for me I would be grateful.
Fetching a land means one less land to draw and improve the odds of drawing more action - very relevant for a monocolor deck that don't use as much lands to cast their spells.
Overall good game, there were some questionable things in the second game; th-cam.com/video/N4sJRJo7Zlg/w-d-xo.html Jordan could have tapped lands for mana, and then the Priest in order to have another floating green mana. I don't think it was the end of the world, but it was the effective same play but better. With the Changeling being Darksteel Mutated, it would still return Muxus should it get destroyed somehow. The Champion creates a delayed trigger, similar to how Fairgrounds Warden functions, unless I am off on it. (reading of the text seems the same). Based on the narration, it seems like you all thought it would stay gone forever.
Because champion in the CR is worded like o-ring and not like banishing light, making it lose its abilities does in fact prevent the thing from coming back. See mtg.gamepedia.com/Champion for the rulings.
Honestly the Nate REB--> Pyroblast was disgusting. Its actually so annoying to watch a player "always have the answer" especially when in a 100 card deck, they have the exact 2 that are capable.
not colour coding the names with the colour you were playing is a missed opportunity imo then again, it might make it hard to read any of Bills information
I actually enjoyed the turn 4 blue win :) also you seem to try to by very high power and do plays but the timing seems off too often. Still I like your content. My advice ... Be more chill not tryhard
10:42 ah yes, the best removal, Beast Whisperer.
HA! Guessing they were looking for Beast Within there :p
I’m so confuse too, Dark steel mutation cant target Greeny boy right?
Epsilon 0 Pretty sure the Veil just gives hexproof from UB
@@tylerbrooks6063 Correct. It only gives hexproof from UB.
You mean the *Beast* removal?
I'll see myself out
"any kind of instant removal can interact with this combo" *shows beast whisperer*
Probably was supposed to be beast within
Instant card draw removal, obviously :P
yeah don't leave this guy
Beast whisperer is actually a hit man
Play of the Game :
Mono Red wins counter war
100% agree! #MonoRedForever
1)brings cards that only affect one guy at the table
2)somehow randomly has both when they are needed
3)throws everything at one person
4)still loses
absolute state of red players
Most common line ever said on this channel " loses his mana crypt trigger"
Seeing mono white spam card draw that much is always a treat.
I actually really enjoy these mono colored games hopefully we will be seeing more in the future great game guys
I’m a mana of simple tastes, I see Sram, I see Omnath, I click.
This video has both.
“Instant speed removal” shows Beast Whisperer
Your pic makes this even better, lol
Yessss glad omnath locus of mana getting some love :)
Mana Omnath is best Omnath!
Love the muxus deck I’m a huge krenko fan good to see more goblin representation!
Lol this looks like a lgbtq comment, I'm not making fun of the community, it just made me think of it :)
That last play was probably the most enjoyable I've seen on this channel!..and I'm a dimir player!
First video I've seen from your channel. The videos are edited so well! perfect visualization of the stack throughout the video. Good job!
It’s almost cathartic to see or play mono colored edh, the options are narrowed down and the whole deck is visually consistent
There was some serious threat assessment issues in that second game. Mono-green cannot be allowed to build a free board state like that. Too easy.
The first game was kinda similar, the blue player was kinda forgotten and was not under enough pressure. The other three lose their resources/interactions right before the blue mage won.
As a primarily selesnya player, I love seeing big green stompy boys overrun the board and i love seeing the white player draw cards! great games!
I always like when it's said that some mono-green player overruns his opponents. Feels so satisfying to trample everyone to atoms.
Nice game!
Would love to see Zurzoth in one of your games :)
Seeing Nate L move his hands to grab his goblins when he sees the cyclonic rift was funny
Game two looked amazing! Great content as usual thanks guys
HELIX PINNACLE?

Mono deck hold a special place in my heart. Great game, hope to see more niche games like this in the future!
I did enjoy that, taking more regular type decks and fine tuning them.
Nice game. We got to see all four decks do their thing.
There may be answers to your flicker play, but I can already tell you’re soooo fun to play with

you should watch that again, he most certainly did mention it
Yeah he did
Really great game to watch! Nice to see some combat damage instead of a Demonic consultation win XD
So, in the second game at 24:07, how does bill go from 22 down to 16 if he's taking 4 damage?
At 24:34, how does Jordan tap 13 Mana and cast Finale of Devastation where X = 10? Finale of Devastation is an {X}{G}{G} spell.

At 5:55 he could have cast the oakhame adversary for 2 because of the rapid hybridization token, right??

9:01 you can cast Berserk only before the damage step
what happened here? what was the idea of casting it? during combat I get it cause He'd have to sacrifice it at the end of turn but I'm not sure what Jordan tried to do here 🤔
The mana was going away, so if Sram attacked that turn it would have been destroyed is why he did this.
