@TheCeilingFanCollectorHD you failed to understand the product… unlike small stool/ladder… it’s compact to fit in a pocket or in the car and carried anywhere without having any issue.
Update: When Mark's acquisition team contacted the sisters of EveREware, they actually backed out of the deal so the transaction was never made, and they did not end up selling their entire company. They got a lot of attention and fame from appearing on the show, but sadly, it was not enough. They went out of business in 2015.
generally speaking, I don't think this product would've gone far anyways, no one would buy these in this day and age. They're just stickers for your clothes...they look a bit tacky.
Regarding HyConn, Cuban was diligent enough to notice that the guy had already pitched to sell his patent to a distributor. Hence, he already had the intent to sell 100% of his company for the right price. Kevin didn't pick up on that.
Mark may not give offers much but when he gives an offer, he doesnt degrade the people involved. Goes to show he not only knows the value of the product but also gives value to the sentiments of the inventor/owner. Kevin is just pure greed.
It's unfortunate that none of these agreements actually went through. The sisters backed out on the offer later. Draymond also backed out of the moki company. And mark Cuban didn't go through with the firefighter deal. Goes to show that whatever happens on television isn't always the whole story.
@@queensav3762 they don't film the actual signing of the contracts. That is where the deals are truly made. And a lot of them fall through at that point. You can read them up online. The firefighter was interviewed about it and was disappointed.
After watching this shows many times, I think I started to recognize when Mark is interested in giving an offer. He has this silence and facial expression.
They’re human laughing about the irony of finally being able to be with their kids again after selling the very company that kept them from their kids…chill out not that serious. Find a sense of humor
The sisters lost focus. They were so emotionally wrapped up in the concept that they failed to realize it is about being a business. It doesn’t matter if it is disposable ties or brake shoes. If you can’t make the calls, sometimes tough, you will fail. Keven O’Leary is the perfect example. He is tough and can focus to the bottom lines.
I used to drive for a retirement community, and they had something very similar to the doorstep for every vehicle, but instead of being a footstep it was so that the resident would have something to hold on to while they sat down or got up. They are remarkably sturdy for how easy they are to put into place, and made life a lot easier for seniors.
That fireman really reminded me of the farmer who had a product to keep plants alive through the winter. He cares more about the product being out there, so he went with the shark that would get the firehose clamp into firehouses.
Mark is that guy.. even when he backs out he let's ppl know when it's a good deal or not at times. Definitely wouldn't mind meeting him & holding a conversation etc
Mark was not able to close the transaction with Ellie &Becca. After contacting Mark’s acquisition team, the two sisters abruptly backed out of the deal. The founders of evRewares closed the business in 2015 proving once again the Sharks know what they're talking about.
If the stickers hold up to the sun for a decent amount of time they’d be kinda useful in a workshop/trade/construction setting. The fact they’re durable and easy to apply would have been useful in the navy when we needed to deal with things quickly during maintenance and don’t wanna mess around in the office
If the adhesive they are promising for the stickers to fulfill that role existed, they would be selling the adhesive. Not mass producing stickers for 50c per tie. They just straight up lied about the functionality of that glue.
I like it when they said "we could be at home with our kids paying attention to them again" and then both instantly laughed their heads off at the thought!! 😂😂
Sad update. That fabric sticker business eventually declined Mark's offer and did not sign the deal. They were out of business since 2015. They were given a lifeline but they did not take it.
@@Alvin-1138 Don't know how you come up with that. 200k is clean money. Tax write offs won't give them back their original capital. They're probably still sitting on their unsold inventory right now. 26:04 possibly the greatest moment in Shark Tank history in my opinion that was such a legendary line and reveal
The firefighter pulling out the garden hose adapter gets me everytime. Sharks all look so mind blown.
Update: When Mark's acquisition team contacted the sisters of EveREware, they actually backed out of the deal so the transaction was never made, and they did not end up selling their entire company. They got a lot of attention and fame from appearing on the show, but sadly, it was not enough. They went out of business in 2015.
Yikes. They should have proceeded with selling. But alas, hindsight is 20-20
@@JonathanGonzalez-wv8mc ehhh 200k wasn’t gon get them that far at all either lol
generally speaking, I don't think this product would've gone far anyways, no one would buy these in this day and age. They're just stickers for your clothes...they look a bit tacky.
I would have sold 80% to mark and just get 20% and the way he probably would sell them 20$ or more in the stadium I would be set
@@hownoto1212 200k has more value than them investing more in a business that is set to die anyways.
Regarding HyConn, Cuban was diligent enough to notice that the guy had already pitched to sell his patent to a distributor. Hence, he already had the intent to sell 100% of his company for the right price. Kevin didn't pick up on that.
No Cuban wanted to sell the patent and the firefighter didn’t like the idea of licensing it out so they went separate ways
Yeah i mean he's a firefighter, not a business man.
Welp, in real life Mark Cuban ended up not going through with the deal.
HyConn went bankrupt

Mark may not give offers much but when he gives an offer, he doesnt degrade the people involved. Goes to show he not only knows the value of the product but also gives value to the sentiments of the inventor/owner. Kevin is just pure greed.
Facts 😂. Kevin a shark shark
Mark is a gentle nurse shark. Kevin is a bald great white shark.
Yes, he is.
Kevin is the best shark on this show
It's unfortunate that none of these agreements actually went through. The sisters backed out on the offer later. Draymond also backed out of the moki company. And mark Cuban didn't go through with the firefighter deal. Goes to show that whatever happens on television isn't always the whole story.
oh what :(( where can i find the one where mark backed out with the firefighter deal?
@@queensav3762 they don't film the actual signing of the contracts. That is where the deals are truly made. And a lot of them fall through at that point. You can read them up online. The firefighter was interviewed about it and was disappointed.
I was sad the moki one didn't go through, they seemed like such a good couple and they had a great idea.
They should have to sign it right then and there honestly
How do you know that? Where did you read it?
I'm so happy for the 2nd couple, sounded like a really good offer. 3rd dude on the other hand, I feel like he could've raked in a lot more

All sharks amazed and in awe all in sync when seeing human emotions
I love when Mark really wants something, he just pulls out the checkbook and acts like it's nothing!

They’re not always right. That said, they’re not absolute idiots.
And then you have ring. Showing they have no idea what they’re talking about. Investing is mostly luck at the end of the day
If the stickers hold up to the sun for a decent amount of time they’d be kinda useful in a workshop/trade/construction setting. The fact they’re durable and easy to apply would have been useful in the navy when we needed to deal with things quickly during maintenance and don’t wanna mess around in the office
Yeah, but once you’ve worn the funny tie, you don’t want to go there again
If you think construction workers are going to keep sticker ties on them you’ve never worked construction

@@sdot5389 a post it note doesn’t hack it when you’re forcing positive pressure into a compartment during confined space entry
If the adhesive they are promising for the stickers to fulfill that role existed, they would be selling the adhesive. Not mass producing stickers for 50c per tie. They just straight up lied about the functionality of that glue.

Sad update. That fabric sticker business eventually declined Mark's offer and did not sign the deal. They were out of business since 2015. They were given a lifeline but they did not take it.
They were better off taking the tax write offs on losses than his 200K when they already put 180k. Take back the merch and do Direct sales.
@@Alvin-1138 Don't know how you come up with that. 200k is clean money. Tax write offs won't give them back their original capital. They're probably still sitting on their unsold inventory right now. Plus the emotional hit of losing a ton of capital is gonna sting. If they took the 200k and invested it in a better business idea, it would have served them better. There's nothing proprietary about their product and I don't think people would buy those stickers (they're out of business so there's that). It was a huge lifeline thrown their way and they blew it.
