@@nermo.artist I've watched several interviews with her and she is an amazing person! Super legit and really cares about people. Gives great advice, too. Watch her on the Ellen Show where she gives advice to audience members. She's really smart and motivational.
"The Barbara jokes are super funny" and for that reason I am out.
Lori gets the most consistently good deals, she's the best Shark. Kevin is great too, my two favs

What Mark said @06:23 has me shook! He got the calculation wrong on how many hours per year that is, but nonetheless what an interesting analysis on productivity in one's life! What a lesson
I don't often make my bed either 8)
6:27 - Mark " I spent about an hour a week making my bed, I extrapolated that out, that's 365 hours a year". How did this sentence even make it through editing, Let alone air....... Never thought I would hear someone who's viewed as a brilliant billionaire fail at rudimentary math.
I know hotel employees with back issues because of making beds. I'm so excited for this to become a global product used by all hotels.
Yesssssss hell I'm not one I want this for my home

I love how everyone who chooses Lori always thinks about QVC and how it will better their company, but let’s be honest here. Who, besides elderly people, even watch QVC anymore lol
Damian is the better fit but he didn't go down to 18. I would say Barbara. Cause she so picky she will put the most time.
Who needs help making their bed more than elderly people?
Stay at home moms. QVC is huge with women in general, not just elderly women.

Poor Barbara. She gets made fun of for never making offers, and when she finally does make an offer that's actually lower than any of the others, she gets rejected. Well damn
she did say she wouldnt pay attention to them if they were under 20%
I'm surprised this hasn't been made sooner. Super useful 👌
I bought them for our split adjustable bed. Easy to put on and changing sheets. Keeps them secure. On the top sheet with split mattress tucks in and stays. Also use it on bedspread. Had them three yrs and still works great.
Omg I want this
Im glad they went with Lori!! Especially after Barabara mentioned she doesn’t even think about the teams she has less than 20% equity with.
I'm rooting for Nita. They both struck me as kind, down to earth people but Nita's motivation tells me everything I need to know. The insurance industry is filled with overworked, underappreciated middle aged women. I hope these two make it out and earn enough wealth to spread their joy

Mark said he spent an hour a week making his bed. Thats 52 hours a year NOT 365. Did anyone else catch that or am i going crazy
Just checked online, they are now valued at 30M$. So glad to see it worked out for them.
Lmao I LOVE how Kevin always adopts this instigating face when he's out to try and stir stuff up, "What are you gonna DO?" it's actually so funny seeing him that animated.
Barbara - "I don't think of my investments below 20%"
Also Barbara - "I'll go to 15%"
Also Barbara - "I don't get it! Am I missing something?"
Honestly Damond is probably the best option here, he has the most knowledge, experience and contacts in this space and could seriously blow this up globally so easily
@You've Been Slain - re: "Honestly" = 1. are you not "honest" all the time? 2. or only when using that meaningless word. 3. gals went with Lori. 4. case closed!

all the deals were great ones but I think Daymond's vision on what direction the business could go and the target audience was genius. He was thinking out of the box and I believe it would have been a better option.
@Kenneth Capacete - 1. hotels may not want to buy "another product" for their beds, to make life easier for housekeeping. 2. "bedder" would have to be washed regularly, with a new one put on.
I don’t like that no one acknowledged the blanket statement pun. That was solid comedy
Barbara: It feels so strange to make an offer, I'm coming off desperate, and don't know what to do with my hands, for that reason I am out.
Barbara was actually in on this deal but Lori snakes it away from her. Lori seems to have this huge advantage over the other sharks purely because of her previous success with QVC and taking products to that next level. She has it easy in the tank. When she wants something, she gets it.
Barbara: "I wish I was a son of a bitch who says you must answer me or I'm out" when she literally just did that on the Holiball episode LMAO!
Also Barbara: "The reason why I need 20% is because I don't think about my investments if they're less than 20%, honest to god."
ALSO Barbara: Proceeds to drop offer to 15%.
Haha
Right that exactly what I thought when barb was confused why she didn’t get the deal lol. U just told them I don’t think about deals under 20% and proceed to offer 15% , what’s wrong with u
Lol 😆 💀
@@stevenanderson3386 I wish they had actually told her that - we didn't pick you because you wouldn't be as concerned/involved at 15 or 18%.
Kevin always ends up more interested in what deal people are going to take over offering a deal to them.
What a great product and even better entrepreneurs.
For all the people commmenting on Barbara.. She lost the deal, but did anyone notice what she did after? She was shocked, but then genuinely asked Mark what she did wrong - and how she could IMPROVE.
She made a truly genuine pitch, and then showed that she isn’t too big to get advice or better herself. I believe that’s why she’s as successful as she is.

Mark: "I spend an hour per week making my bed"
Also Mark: "that's 365 hours per year"

@MKTUBE..there are 52 weeks a year and at an hour a week that's not 365 hrs. Mark needs to check his numeric reasoning.
Daymond was the wise decision for business purposes and to scale. He brought up a good point. These women were set on the shark they wanted before.
Barbara messed up by:
1. Making an offer and not putting pressure, and encouraging them to shop around. Although noble, it is a tank with sharks. You don't do that.
2. Stating that she doesn't think of her investments at less than 20%
love that barb still is trying to learn " what i do wrong?"
Barbara: I don’t think of my deals unless they’re over 20%, honestly.
Also Barbara: I’ll do 15%!
@LMNOP - re: "honestly" = then Barbara was being "dis-honest" ... correct?
6:25 Someone’s gotta point out our buddy Mark’s math error here aha - an hour a week of bed-making would be only 52 hours a year.
Also interesting that his hesitation in not even making his bed is the opposite of Mr. Wonderful’s, who was concerned that it might make the bed look actually less tidy
The one-word reason why Lori was chosen was: QVC
And Bed, Bath & Beyond connections...
Barbara: I am in.
Entrepreneurs: No, you are out!!

The classic: their sales immediately following this pitch essentially sealed the success of the company. It's the best advertising you can possibly get.
Keep in mind that when they leave, if they have a decent product, there are investors out there who have their people watching these shows as well as referrals from the people on the show.
$33 cost for that is absolutely insane, unless it washes the bed clothes itself, weekly.
I think Barbara was the right choice for their type of industry
Barbara: even when I'm in, I'm out!
I love how Barbara was like why wouldn’t they have taken my offer but like just before she offered 15% she said she doesn’t think about any of her businesses under 20% 💀💀
Love this idea. It makes me go - 'Why didn't anyone think of this'
The power of a mother. I applaud her ❤️
They should have used a white bed sheet. The red and white clash.
That's what I thought
in all honesty, when I go into the bedroom at 2-4am and it's dark I'm more worried about stepping on the Cat or the Kitten, can't really see shit once I close my eyes to sleep. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder on that one, can't see it does not really matter. Why people would posts photos of what they sleep on/with is a bit of an issue lol
That's the point
the red sheet was to highlight their product, and they got 3 offers.
This is so cool. I’ve seen these ladies selling at the local market on the weekends. I hope they succeed ❤️❤️
Imagine hotels and every house hold and every mattress store get their hands on this. This is a million dollar idea of an invention. They should make a easy way to fold clothes. I would spend my whole account to help make that happen.
That clothing folder contraption has already been invented. However, 🤔 I suppose it could be reinvented 🤷🏼♀️ 👍🏼

7:36 Barbara shot herself in the foot by saying she doesn't think about her investments if they are less than 20%. Later on when she went down to 15% what made her think they would want to go with her after she said she pretty much doesn't care about any of her investments that are less than 20%?
Mark: “it took me about an hour a week making my bed (52 weeks in a year), and that’s 365 hours a year!” Lol okay? Great math buddy 🤣🤣
6:23 Mark: I spend too much of my life making my bed and for that reason I'm out
