      @@maianoguillaume I left last year in August. Best life decision ever. After all the abuse and crap I took on the forums for trying to reach out to the company to fix the issues at hand.... The writing was on the wall. Each fiasco since, I just sit back and laugh at everyone acting surprised that WarGaming is still screwing them over.
      I won't shed a tear when that company dies.

    Given the nature of active sonar (pinging) you should be immediately detected as soon as you ping a ship. But, then again, realism isn't really a priority at WG.

      Realism has nothing to do with in. "Realism" in the balance discussion is just as bad for this game as bs ship classes and mechanics are.

    Subs are SO broken. AP versus subs just over-penetrate ... so you supposedly create a 14 inch hole on one side of the sub, and a 14 inch hole on the other side where the round exits. Thats two gaping holes through the boat from just one AP hit and 10 seconds later the sub submerges like nothing happened. Completely underwater and ... NO FLOODING. Still fully functional. Its ridiculous.

      @@amadeokomnenus1414 Afraid its not so simple. Never heard of torpedo belts? Don't even get me started on torpedoes that hit at steep angles and should just shatter/bounce off . . . or duds.

      @@tharding2870 I can have games where i hit multiple ships of all classes and barely manage a flood. Then other games i might get x10. Im a CV/DD main and the flood chance % is whack. (BB's i mostly get by aiming at the bow and stern where the torpedo belt is not).

    It's actually impressive how misguided the implementation is. I'm pretty sure that if you went to a group of first year students of game design and told them to come up with the worst idea they could think of, they'd still wont imagine anything as bad as this.

    I just wish that Hydro will detect subs at 12km based range while also able to detect a deep depth subs in 5km range.

    After 6 years of playing I quit when the subs were introduced. The game turned into a shitfest before said subs arrived, but this was the nail in the coffin for the game. In its current state, this game will be dead within the year.

    I do not play this game - and never have. But I have a question:
    I have played some earlier versions of the Silent Hunter (submarine simulation) series a decade ago. Why are these submarines in WoWs so fast and maneuverable? Isn't a submarine supposed to be deadly, when positioned correctly, but a really easy target for planes and dd's due to its low speed and due to the fact that even small damage can cripple your ability to dive? Dived they should be like 8-10 knots max speed and 20-25 knots surfaced? Propably they would not be fun then, I guess. But the boats I see in this video don't feel like submarines.

      In most history of subs I've read and historians talked to, subs operated generally at 4-6kts and 8ish Max submerged. Unless fresh out of a refit, 18kts was rare actual top surfaced. Normal wear and slight damages here and there kept them at 15-16 kts. Yes you had a long way to go before refueling and re-arming so speed and fuel were serious factors. As the fuel burned on top, that's a lot of weight to rebalance on a ship. Send half your allotment of torps, and there were serious diving problems until those tanks got flooded (very noisy)

      as you know, ships only resemble their real life counterparts, and ship performance and game mechanics can be arbitrary.
      With that disclaimer out of the way, it's likely that the devs want subs to reach a certain percentage of battles played compared to other classes so that they are considered "good content" (compared to bad or even possibly balanced subs being slow and unpopular, and thus dead on arrival and a waste of investment) so they probably would even buff the class to hit those numbers if needed.

      because WOW dont have a real scale 1;1. reason to do this is to make it playable and faster. . meaning all distances and objects are not alligned to each other . for example certain destroyers are the same size as cruisers or even bigger in some instances . but you want destroyers to be the small and fast vehicles to create class difference in gameplay . so certain destroyers are actually smaller then they should be. same goes for islands and trees . making the ship that big will make the objects on the island too small to notice etc. as it comes to gameplay choices in why a sub can go underwater that fast etc, is all decided by balancing department, and Wargaming is not really that great at it .

      This is a pretty difficult game to play well. CV and subs are easy-mode put into the game to attract people who don't like the difficult stuff or who don't like a challenge.

    So, the two classes who are by far the most forgiving and easy to play, while also being very frustrating to figth. Guess what? They don't have to deal with detonations, which is probably the most annoying thing in the game. WG are so clever!😅

      What videos like this fail to show is what happens once you get detected and how easy subs are to kill once found. These videos propagate the idea that subs are massively OP rather than showing the other side of the coin.
      9/10 when a sub is detected in dangerous waters, it'll spend most of it's remaining match time trying to get back to some kind of safety, often without success.

      @@Deadmode what comments like this fail to tell is that if you get into a really bad position in any ship other than a sub you die. With a sub you have a pretty good chance to get away and even make some ships search for you just for them to waste a lot of time or die.
      If you get into a shitty position, you are still much better with a sub, and also it is MUCH harder to get into a shitty position in a sub with their unparalelled disengage ability. If you die in a sub it is always 100% your fault. Never the RNG, never the weak flank, never your team. You can ignore all. That is something no other class can do. If yoh can't see this I dont know what to tell you. Maybe stop sniffing the copium

    In a BB I ignore the pings until the torps are about to hit me. The rest of the time I just stay out of range as much as I can. It's awesome!

      u r full of sh*t.... how can u possibly stay out of range when tu don't even know where they are? (*first obvious lie), Then you see torps and you hit repair to stop ping, a BB doesn't manuver all that well to avoid them (*lie #2), even if you could do the first two, the sub just reloads in a matter of seconds and can ping you again and again almost emmdiately. Your repair requires a long drawn out cool-down (*lie #3). If you want to act like you actually are any good at the game, don't shout such obvious BS. Subs are for the unskilled and they completely ruin the game. THis is why WoW once "garaunteed" - "There will NEVER be subs in World of Warships." - But we know how good they are at keeping promises and garuantees. You know they are lying if they are saying anything.

    They need to reduce the battery time, remove the ping on destroyers, set the homing torps for Cruisers the same as Battleships and increase the range on cruisers attack planes so they get strike the Subs more than 6km (death range for a cruiser) and finally Hydro should be able to spot them even underwater. This would at least give the surface ships a chance.

      Also if a sub over extends it should be punished. The fact currently is they run faster under water than above. The only way to spot them is if they allow you to or they didn't manage their batteries good enough.

    Got completely obliterated in my Republique TWO battles in a row from tier X sub yesterday, my whole hp was gone in TWO minutes, one torp salvo = 30k dmg

      Yea, sub damage has changed everything.
      I had 100% HP, took 8 torps from a sub & done 2 minutes in. Now I stay on the perimeter. I’ve only been playing for 2 months and any game with subs absolutely sucks.

    Just to be clear, once you get the trick in a BB, pings are not terrifying anymore. They are the major help to avoid the incoming torp. You always know where the torps are coming from and THAT torps are coming. Just angle 30 to 45° to the ping and wait for the torps. Once you see them, they lost homing and still on their way to a rendezvous point, IF you don't turn. Now turn your ship to a 0° angle to the torps and they pass by. Sounds easy, IS easy, you only need to try it a few times. Of course, being under fire by multiple ships and subs doesn't make it easy, but now you know the trick. It only works for BBs and if you skill in Torp defense its even easier. Doesn't work all the time, especially in the heat of a battle, but mostly.
    Still Im not defending subs being in the game in the current state - they are broken. Period.

      That works well until sub players realize that you have homing torpedoes that you can launch off to the side. When the BB player turns nose in, he sets himself up to take the torps right in the side.

      Yep, you are right, it is annoying and personally I want subs removed and while we are at it, just remove the CVs as well. But that won't happen, not even a selection where you possibly could disable subs or CVs for your game choice.
      Random Battles are doomed: Bad balance, bad teams, bad behaviour.
      Solution: Deinstall the game ;-)

    i stopped playing this game untill there are balances put in to stop this. i may never touch it again, ive only been playing for about 2-3 months so im no expert on this game. but right now for me its just awfull. i play german battleships well try anyway, but try and move in to brawl and ping ping ping. so what is there to do camp at the edge of the map? or change class? well right now i cant be bothered to do either. shame really cvs i could tolerate to a degree but these subs have soured my view on this game. nice vid btw.

    imo the most absurd thing is that mitigating pings is somehow linked with damage con. Like it's almost designed for the sub to double ping, bb to damage con ,and get perma flood. And of course the perma fire thingy ppl have been complaining about recently.
    Like what's the thinking behind putting these two thing together???

    Plan A:
    - Remove Subs
    - Remove Carriers
    - Replace both subs and carriers with some kind of kill streak reward system for flavor.
    Plan B:
    - All ships that historically had sonar get it. Can be set to either active, passive, or both.
    - Pinging a ship exposes your location.
    - Launching a torpedo exposes your location if you're a sub.
    - Give DDs hedgehogs.
    - Realistic WW2 torpedo speeds for subs.
    - Make sub torpedoes at least half as manueverable and have less range.
    - Make the sub batteries take at least twice as long to recharge and drain twice as fast.
    Plan C:
    - Just go play Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts, NavalArt, or From the Depths.

      Funny story, I worked on radars in the USN (1970's) and modified our air search radar (SPS-40B) to pick up subs at periscope depth. Did it for an exercise where we were supposed to be targets for our subs. Pissed off the brass involved and got in trouble but it was worth it. I wish I worked for WG.

    Well, since Subs are in the game, i re-discovered my Thunderer, allowing me to stay waaaay back. Before that i was almost never playing it, as i was mostly sailing my DDs and Cruisers.... Isn't the incease in Thunderers etc nice?

    Played one game yesterday after not touching it for 2 months and after being helpless in my Ohio against constant sub ping spam and eventually being sunk with no impact - deinstalled the game and feel free …..- congrats WG. You finally broke the game.

    So fantastic that WG subs completely ignore the one aspect of armor that was specifically made to combat their weapon.
    Ping Ping and your hit scan torpedoes are basically guaranteed to hit no matter what angle you fired from.
    Skill, accuracy, planning, patience...... Who the fuck needs those anymore?

    This reminds me of a jetfighter game where you has to dodge missiles. I used to send out target lockon guided missiles, then brake lock and lock back on. Then all missiles would home in from different angles.

    There wasnt even a thought of making anti ping anything but dcp. Or making dcp cooldown refresh faster when pinged in order to fight constant pings and torps

    It's not just the big issues of homing and disappearing at will, but the little things too. If I'm in a BB shooting at a DD in smoke, my shell go everywhere and rarely where I want them to go. A sub can just ping and it's like a laser.

    I should make a video on how to win with subs. I spent all last week playing subs only so I know how to play against them. I spent many games "trying" this and that, not doing well in all games. And even then I ended up with 70% WIN RATIO in my U boat. While there are many gimmicks to exploit but what I found to be most effective is a strategy built on distraction. To win in a sub, go into the game not worried about dmg and instead go into it trying to distract the reds. Pings on everything all the time and getting under the reds disrupts really fouls up surface ship gameplay enough that they lose focus and my team cleans them up. I don't expect WG to do anything about this because they don't seem to understand gameplay. I don't think the dmg numbers will be high for the class overall but the gameplay is terrible for both teams.

      @@konstantingr5928 i meant the average dmg for the overall class won't be high enough for WG to nurf the subs. so many sub players just yoloed every game. and oh for sure I had some good dmg games. they seem mostly to come whenever I get that good broadside opportunity and took 6 cits. didn't happen every game but when it did it was huge. The most consistent part of playing subs was getting reds to chase me to the corner of the map taking themselves out of the game and position and making a mismatch for rest of my team get the win.

    Was on my way with Amagi and took 6 or so torps from the TX German sub with full ping. I didn't have a chance to dodge (probably homing missiles or so) and I got literally half my ship blasted away.

    I’ve been pre launching torps as well and if you can position properly you can bend the torps around islands. Lots of fun🤣
    And yes pinging the enemy just to get them to damage control is great. Tell your teammates and they can set them on fire.
    When I can do 150k damage in a tier 6 sub, with minimal effort, something is wrong.
    People in BBS are already getting good at blind depth charging though.

    Idea: Make it so cvs have manually controlled depth charge planes but no other planes, and subs can only target cvs. We let them just fight it out between each other and have fun normal games

    I think their speed on the ship and on the torps need some work. And the reload in torps is crazy. I have some games where we absolutely wreck the sub right off the bat, but when that doesn’t happen it’s such a pain in the ass to play against.
    Edit: also they should add a “white” marker like with add when he’s locked on a ship so when you’re dropping depth charges you can get full damage on that sub. They also need to add an “reticle” for dds and light cruisers who actually shoot depth charges out away from the ship can also accurately place those depth charges.

    DDS in final runs can use saturation to take hits and survive. I’ve taken 4 from a Balao on the bow for 15k total in a Halland but survived for the ranked win.
    Biggest thing to fight subs is very high situational awareness from team.
    Nowadays I pretty much only play ranked and CW, the game modes with lowest numbers of CV and SS.
    With ranked if there are CV and SS in queue simply leave the queue for a minute and come back in.

    I think they could drastically improve sub perception if they only allowed subs to ping each other. That is literally the only time you need to ping.
    They can still target surface ships with the normal dd-type torpedo aiming. Also, increase arming time of torps to 10 seconds. At 2 seconds you can shotgun a dd or light cruiser trying to DC you...

    Does it matter where you ping ships anymore?
    And how do T10 BBs fight subs with 6km drop planes. Youre dead 2 times over before you can fight back.
    Even at times a sub has taken 16 depth charges (holland) and is still alive. I cant do anything else there is no more charges.

    Had just this problem in a Tier 6 game earlier this week - I was in AGANO and backed up by a heavy cruiser and BB. Enemy U-69 got in the cap and just sat there hydroing us and spotting for his CA and BB to tear us apart. Our CA was sunk in short order and when I did (finally) spot the sub and tried to charge him he just volley-fired into me while the BB chewede me up (from way beyond my guns range). My game lasted all of 4 minutes. Zero chance to do anything but run away which isn't a fun play style....

    Good thing about the subs is that I have played 2 battles since the patch dropped. Didn't had any fun encountering 2 sub and 1 cv in each battle, decided that I stop playing for the foreseeable future. Btw both battles I was uptiered in a T8 BB vs T10 CV / Subs - kind of fun I really don't need.

    Here are my 2 cents.
    Hydro should pick up subs at any depth
    Pinging an unspotted ship should not be possible
    Pinging should only relate to the previously fired torps
    Torps that were fired while completely submerged should not be able to get a ping at all
    The subs are way too fast and maneuverable

    I think a spotting delay should be added to subs or limit their spotting range.. it’s too easy for them to surface then disappear without risk..
    Applying a spotting delay adds risk to where they surface & at periscope depth.
    And spotting at periscope depth should be significant bad compared to spotting from a ship’s bridge

    ANOTHER TRICK 4U: Dude if a BB launches a "Depth charge airstrike" simply surface, the depth charges won't hurt you if you are on the surface! Please test this with DD depth charges too but I'm pretty certain I am correct. I had a sub surface behind my DD after I had dropped depth charges on him so... he surfaced and took little if any damage from my delayed depth charges and I couldn't get my guns turned around before his way was clear to simply dive and get away whilst I (now in great fear) scrambled to escape but got killed via his spotting. What a load of CRAP Subs are!!!!! Sea_Tiger_59 Edit: open "read more" (below if necessary)!
    According to a No Zoup 4U "Mackensen BB" video the airstrike depth charges do damage a surfaced submarine although it wasn't actually shown but was assumed! I'm Still curious!

    I have not played subs very often. I found the homing mechanism too easily foiled, and when I tried them in co-op the bots just dodged at the last second regardless of double lock.
    Playing against subs, though, has gotten easier with practice. I am an indifferent DD player, but sub hunting is a lot more fun than trying to capture a zone alone with five or six ships shooting me point-blank.

    Petro is one of the easiest cruisers to counter. It has to get close in campy meta and needs broadsides when it gets there. The dispersion makes effective long range crossfires mostly impossible

    There ARE things WG could do to make subs tolerable and potentially interesting.
    The trouble is that would put a skill floor on them, and that is entirely CONTRARY to WG's design approach of "make things as stupid-proof as possible even if it makes the game play astoundingly dumb for some ships/classes".
    So we can be pretty sure they're not going to do that.
    Which is a bit sad in that it COULD be kind of interesting IF subs had some potential BUT only if you were smart because if not they could be countered relatively easily.
    Here are some off the top of my head after watching that vid:
    - Tie battery use to the engine use and pings, just as it was in an earlier iteration. If a resource is effectively infinite with respect to when it's needed, it's no longer really a resource. At 1/4 ahead battery is NOT drained at all.
    - CUT THEIR UNDERWATER SPEED to what was realistic for the period, namely 17 knots max.
    - Put a "dive time" of 10 seconds or whatever value is required that getting caught on the surface is a genuinely BAD idea; no instant "I'm safe" manoeuvre.
    - Make torps home ONLY WITH 2 PINGS and/or...
    - Make torps home ONLY IF LAUNCHED WHEN A TARGET IS PINGED. They do NOT move on to a NEW target if you ping something different.
    - Make it so pings can only tag ships THAT ARE ALREADY DETECTED, by you or a team member, but NOT a CV's planes.
    - Make DDs IMMUNE to pings. DDs face enough dangers trying to deal with subs, so leave pings out of it. They can still be hit by unguided torps of course.
    - You can ping only ON THE SURFACE or at PERISCOPE DEPTH.
    WG will never read them, and never listen even if they did.

    I think they wouldn't be nearly as oppressive if the level of homing didn't change based in the ship type being shot at. Give the torps the same homing on cruisers and DDs that it gets when firing at a BB and it wouldn't feel so damn hopeless getting pinged

    Aircraft Carriers aren't bothering me too much.
    I'm a very supportive player, so I like to support my teammates in whatever they are doing, therefor i like destroyers and light cruisers the most (i like everything though, except subs, i'm here to play surface ships).
    And AA just SLAMS, not once i "oneshot" an entire squadron of planes to protect my teammates.
    So it heavily depends on the players how much they are getting affected by CVs

    I think I've realized why you feel the way you do about CVs and Subs. We play different games but within the same game. After watching KoTS and really paying attention to the gameplay I came to the conclusion that the most skilled of players are playing a strategy game and we average players and below are playing a shooty boat game. Gameplay is ruined for you because you're trying to make stealth moves in a chess battle and the rest of us are playing checkers. I guess I get it but maybe that's the problem with all of this. You fell in love with that high-level meta and some of us have never experienced it. At the same time, some would find that high-level meta boring and stagnant and need new content to keep us playing.

    Just spent a ton of coal to get Gunther L. A week later subs hit random. My GK and Gunther is suddenly getting vaporized by subs. Years of grinding to get to this point, and sub drivers with less than a weeks experience in their subs are effortlessly sinking me. And there is not a dammed thing I can do about it, except cower on the back line. Can't see em, can't avoid the tops for long. Launch an airstrike in the direction I think they are (does not work). Use the German hydro? Just gives you more time to watch the homing torpedo race across the map to kill you. The subs are top 3rd of xp every game I've seen them in. Whats it going to be like after they get a few months experience in? I liked playing World of Warships, but its become World of targets for subs. Looking for a new game.

    I had games when i did 55k to 75k in a sub but Also had plenty of games when i was just running from planes. Subs are slow, like everything Can catch you if they decide to. Torps against cruisers are strong but against bbs not so much at all. Battery is depleting 3x faster if you are detected by a see and air AMD recharge only while surfaced adding 1 second to battery every 2 seconds. Pinging isnt easy if your target is trying to dodge. One game i had a game when enemy BB dodged 4 times (2 times he was double pinged) with dodging and even just stopping and reversing. Not mentioning you can land double pings at 9km range and target just Press R and boom your work is gone. That guy was skilled and experienced i could tell. It ended with him and one cruiser chasing me and eventually killing me. For me was fun to play with torps but torps are inconsistant in the game so when i heard they are adding subs i came back to the game. I would say they balanced them pretty ok from the point where it started. Yall just cant ho through fact that you need to adapt your gameplay. One sub per map is obviously OP but 2 cvs that are camping and literally dying last that Can harras you the same as subs and having sspotted you even when you are behind some Island. Game was the same for years. If u Dont like it and makes you rage just quit so other Can come.

    2 days ago, using marceau, got pinged see the torp in 1 km range, DCP.
    dodge the first 4.
    Came 2nd 4 around 5s behind it.
    I was literally between the torp, and it will just pass me, suddenly a ping hit me literally in front of me.
    The torp was homing right in front of me and I ate 3 torp, insta dead.
    240m homing to DD is not fair, it is broken.
    This was happening not once, at least 3 games that I had.
    And It is as I predicted, you only need to abuse the ping and there will be nothing we can do.
    The torp should be stop homing when it is detected.
    It means BB such as GK can push and lead the team, rewarding the risk taking.

    I know that WoWS is not meant to be realistic, but here are some ideas to maybe further balance the subs:
    The enemy ships getting an approximate ping of your location if you ping as a sub. Maybe hydro-carriying ships could have a more precise ping or just outright spot the sub, so have to take a risk.
    The thing with torpedoes just being guided all the way seems way to rewarding without having to risk anything. Maybe the torps should aim for the last location and just head in that direction. This way, they are still course correcting, but just every 10 or so seconds for a few degrees or for a final approach by the player.
    You should not be able to just dive up and down. AFAIK subs had/have to compress air on the surface again, so that they had it to blow out their ballast-tanks. You should not be able to do shotgun-drive-by's in these things. Maybe add a cool down between diving and surfacing, or punish the player for having to perform an emergency dive in some way.
    High calibre AP-Shells should be able to basically apply flooding for subs, especially if the sub was over penned and decides to dive away. This would punish overextending subs and would make them sweat, too.
    Subs should feel powerfull, but they should also feel fragile. The gameplay should be that the subs have to carefully plan ahead, be stealthy and accurate with the pings, meaning that they don't just spam-ping without any danger to them, like they do now. A spotted or located sub should sweat for its life, just like their real-life counterparts in WW2.

    just think about it, get the antio submarine warfare from BB to deal with a sub, that is insane, the one who chased them and killed them were destroyers and plains, and both classes can do shit against a sub. the most frustrating dd to hunt a sub is the halland, you charge towards him, and your charges go infront of you for 3 km, so only one will hit him when he just comes straight at you

    The submarines are now available again. They are beyond broken. I will not play them except tier VI in coop. I also agree with you that the mechanics of subs are their to use which wrecks the game. WOWS has really messed up, again. Really fun first 6 months.

      This was my experience too. I played a ranked game where I sat on top of sub in my German dd running hydro in cap and couldn't see him but was being spotted and shot by his team mates. Last game I played.

    I almost think they should let you choose as a DD how to deploy your depth-charges, in a line or in a cone, so they are catapulted in variation maybe,
    i don't know how it all works, but from what i saw, it only looked like it was a line they were dropped in...
    Perhaps that would give DDs a bit of extra changes to hit a Sub with them if you could choose how to deploy them..
    For the Subs, Torbs should probably be less good at Tracking targets, they weren't exactly incredibly advanced in that time and were primarily fire and forget in a straight line like most other torpedos..
    With some adjustments, i think Subs could be fun

    Submarine is not a problem for DD or CA. To sink a submarine is easy as long as there are no enemys ship shooting at you. Also some SS can launch so many torpedos all at once.

    I used to be a BB main. Then carriers were introduced and it got less and less fun, but it was still playable. Now that subs are in the game and ive completely shifted from BBs to cruisers as battleships provide too much of a target and more often that not, you get near no damage as a BB. BBs when from one of the most fun ships in the game, to not viable anymore because of CVs and subs. I want to know the thought process of the guy who wen "lets add carriers and submarines, the two ship classes that ended the age of battleships, into out game about battleships."

    I like the idea of sub pings helping your team and not selfishly homing your torps. For example, keeping the target lit for the duration of the ping. Or giving your team bonus damage if they land shells on the pinged locations, etc. Give subs very bad vision to compensate. Forcing them to have other teammates spot targets so they can keep them lit after. Ya know, promote team play. But then wg would finally need to reward spotting damage... hahaha

    It's called World of Warships, not world of Battleships, Cruisers and Destroyers. A submarine like an aircraft carrier is a warship so to not have CV's and SS's would be inaccurate, but with that said balance is necessary and said classes should be balanced to be made more realistic, but also people have to understand that CV's in real life are just plain overpowered in general that's the main reason why the USA won the war, in the Pacific, and submarines are a threat of their own, that's why the German U-Boats were so deadly. But of course with that said, homing torpedoes should not be a thing and pinging should get you spotted. But for those complaining about how OP subs are, that's just realistic, because in real life subs were deadly to any surface ship, and carriers were also deadly to any ship, just ask Yamato. And regarding realism, no one wants to talk about how a destroyer can do exactly the same thing as a submarine with the exception of the homing, and they can stay invisible while being 6 km away from a ship, yet for comparison, a small squadron of planes can get spotted from 8 km away. The game is not a Naval simulator, there are going to be some unrealistic and annoying things about it, like cruisers just getting over penned by BB's and shrugging off shells. The game is not meant to be realistic, it's more of an arcade game with great looking graphic and a lot of things that for better or worse, make it what it is. And there still is no other game like it when it comes to ship warfare, at least in these recent years. This is just an unbiased view and opinion and it's just my two cents, and I respect the views and opinions of the others.

    Here's something that happened to me yesterday, and i'll try to keep it short.
    Playing t6 dd, got pinged by a sub twice. Reset his ping and the torps show up and my dd is right in between their trajectory, so they won't ever hit me.
    Got pinged again by the sub and hold and behold both torps swerve directly at me. Back to port.
    Fun and engaging, right?

    That 8 inch shell that overpenned the sub, leaving 2 8 inch holes in the sides of a *submarine?*
    Nah, that's not an issue at all, just dive like normal.

    It is fun for the Sub captain but not for the surface ships especially BBs.
