I have t 2 X 600D's, A Sony NEX 5N and a Canon 5D M3. The 600D's are my work horses and they got me amazing pictures both on the surface and underwater. If you shoot RAW and use manual settings the 600D will get you results that will be hard to notice the difference with more expensive cameras. Attach a good lens with the 600D like the Sigma 17-70 OS HSM, the Sigma 18-35 F1.8 and the Canon 60mm F2.8 macro and you're good to go.
@Madeleine Mfuru I do have a full frame camera and crop sensor as wll. Usually full frame are better under low light, but cost much more. Also lenses for crop sensor cameras tend to be much cheaper than full frame lenses. Having a full frame camera is not a must but if you are okay with spending a lot of money then it definitely is a cool thing to have. But don't think you can not take great pictures with crop sensor cameras.
i'm thinking of buying a " real camera " for the futur. For now, i'm okay to try hard with my smartphone and focus of what or who i'm shooting ( i'm currently in street portrait ). Would you suggest me to take a crop sensor relatively new like 77d or 70d, or saving a little to directly get something like a canon 5d mark I or II ( depend if i'm into video ) ?
For professional video how much is the difference in quality between the two cameras? Is it better to buy a 600d and invest on sound equipment o go only for the 700d?
Hard Juan I got the 600d so I can invest in a rig, sound equipment, tri pod, light, and etc... it's about what you can do and not so much of the camera.
I'm a beginner and i dont know which camera to choose. I narrowed my chooses down to the Canon T3i and the Canon SL1. I mainly intend to take photos of friends and some landscape shots. Which camera would be best for me and if so any recommendations?
Thanks for your review of the Canon T5i DSLR vs. the Canon T3i DSLR. Your review helped me to decide which DSLR camera to upgrade to. I bought the Canon T5i with the EF-S 18-55mm/f1:3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, and also bought the EF-S 55-250mm/f1:4-5.6 IS STM lens.
thank you so much for this video... I want to get a camera but I am worried to get a used one because I think it will have some problems. I want your opinion. Do you prefer a refurbished $300 t3i or a used $340 t5i?
So i do Urbex which means I need something that will stay in focus and has good "transitions" between light in dark [when filming]. I dont really know the most about cameras and my budget it max about the price of a 700d. Thanks!
Thank you Video DSLR Tutorial I was also considering 750D as I went to the store and the guy totally confused me about these two. Please tell me which one to buy 700 or 750?
Which camera would be the best for basic TH-cam videos. I'm trying not to spend WAY too much money so I can have funds for a tripod, lighting, mics etc. Since the T3i is 4 years old should I just bite the bullet and get the T5i or should I get the T3i and save the money?
Is it me or does anyone else see a difference in video quality. The 700d seens to win in every review beteeen the 600d and 60d. The 700d looks always a bit more focused and clearer
Close to buying the T5i, looks awesome my only concern is video. Ive seen makeup tutorials look great and other Vlogs using this camera but for videos that involve dancing and a lot of movement I'm wondering if this is a good camera to buy???? I need a camera to get great photos and videos that is easy to use and yes affordable. Am i asking for too much?
This was one of the best videos ive ever watched, good job keep up the great work i have a question,do 600D and 700D have any diffrence when shooting video at low light?
+Video DSLR Tutorial thanks for the answer,i got this camera but after getting 50mm 1.8 what are the good overall and not so expensive lenses that you can suggest me for taking video? Currently i have 18-55kit and going to buy 50mm for doF but what else do i need?
This is so helpful! I've seen a lot of TH-camrs who use the t3i( 600d) I've been considering getting a camera, I have some questions, please help! 1. Is the 600d discontinued? 2. What is a good website for buying cameras? Is amazon a good site? 3. Which is better? Cheap body and pro lens or pro body and cheap lens 4. How much are both of the cameras? 5. What was the cheapest price of both cameras when it's on sale that you've ever seen? Thank you so much!
+agloviesparkles 1. Yes it is 2. but you still find it online. Check "asgoodasnew", "rebuy". On those you still get warranty, on ebay are plenty on sale for good prices but without warranty. 3. Very hard to answer. A good balance makes the difference. In terms of lenses, have a look on the Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 4. + 5. No idea since I usually don't really look out for them. But a used 600D for ~250€ should be alright. 700D probably 350€.
I wanna trade my 600d for 700d... Please suggest me the options where I can get this done. Also thanks for the information in the video and thats what initiated this trade in idea
just purchased a 600D (T3i) used for a little bit less than what a brand new T6 costs in my country. It is an old camera for today's standars, and compared with T7i has little to offer specially on Video department (not talking about magic lantern, just Vanilla with official Canon firmware updated) But yet it is still a better choice than the brand new T6 and you can get it as a somehow improved entry-level APS-C DSLR even for 2019.
im such a noob at tech stuff and i have a few questions. 1. What is an SDM lens? earlier in the vid you said tht the video autofocus only works best if you use an SDM lens.
3. I think the kit lens contains of a 55mm lens (correct me if im wrong) but if i want to purchase a better but not too expensive lens for beginners, which lens should i buy?
Hey i have a t3i and ive noticed that sometimes when im shooting a video it stops recording automatically and its pretty frustrating. Please tell me thats not the case with the t5i
I have a question, should i buy used 600D with 18-135mm, 2x16GB SD, 2xbattery (shutter count 20 000)- 280€ (310dollars, 200£) or new 700D with 18-55mm- 550€(391£,615 Dollars) ? (for event, youtube video recording)
hey, i have a strange question. why does my quality with my 700D look a bit rough. unlike yours it looks very sharp? what type/write speed is your memory card
***** My SD Cards have 60 mb/s write speed but I doubt it has anything to do with it. My videos might look different, because of the lenses I use. I mainly use Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and Canon 70-200 f/4 IS. Both are able to deliver a very shallow depth of field. This means the background is very blurry.
I dont own a camera atm, Gonne use it for traveling to record eating videoes mostly. But also to show the cities im visting. Mostly in daylight but also lowlight. Should i get the 600d? I found a few 600d for 240-250$ used and some 700d for 430-440$. ty for taking time to answer

Video DSLR Tutorial sure, the t5i (or the 700D) wins, but for the price, you can't beat the t3i! (or 600D)

canon 700d up circle button look different other 700d.
where u buy a canon 700d?

i was just wondering if one of them has some advantage in low light condition. I have a 600D and i just bought a 700D.

Especially the ISO is important for low light conditions and I coldn't see any difference in high ISO noise.
I'm a beginner and i dont know which camera to choose. I narrowed my chooses down to the Canon T3i and the Canon SL1. I mainly intend to take photos of friends and some landscape shots. Which camera would be best for me and if so any recommendations?
What's that for a wheel you used for focusing at 2:34 ?
Edit: Just found it in the description ^^ (SOCOM Follow Focus)
exactly :)
Could do a comparison between these cameras and the upcoming T6i/T6s when they are officially released?
I'm planning to do so.
Thank you!
Please tell me how to turn on the display. While taking picture i wNt to see in the display i am confused with the settings.
Is there a newer upgraded model available in this price range today?

All your videos are brilliant quality and useful good work
Thanks! I try my best ;)
Nicely explained, Thank you. Will the follow-on auto focus (video mode) in 700D work with the lenses that comes with 600D?
Your comparison really helped me by chossing between this two cameras!

Great!
Hey!
Great Video
Can't we shoot video while in Digital Zoom in 700D as we can do in 600D ?
thank you so much for this video... I want to get a camera but I am worried to get a used one because I think it will have some problems. I want your opinion. Do you prefer a refurbished $300 t3i or a used $340 t5i?

Which was the white lens you were using ..was it L lens? .. Great video👍🏿
Would the 600d be good for beginner vlogs or should i get something else to put on a tripod for my scooter tricks at the skatepark
What is the cost of Canon 700D Camera in the USA
Hi I am getting the 700D for much cheaper than the 600D. Do I go for 700D? Please answer going to book the camera tomorrow!
+Styledbyaishyee
Well...sorry that I am late to answer but if you get a 700D for the same price or even cheaper, definitely go for it!
Thank you Video DSLR Tutorial I was also considering 750D as I went to the store and the guy totally confused me about these two. Please tell me which one to buy 700 or 750?
you use 2 camera for shoot this video? :/
Nicereview men thanks
very detailed! thanks. Im trying to decide between these two here.
600D have digital zoom.... what about 700D?
+zaky fuadz As far as I know the 700D can not zoom in digitally while filming. I think they didn't keep the DigiZoom.
Which camera would be the best for basic TH-cam videos. I'm trying not to spend WAY too much money so I can have funds for a tripod, lighting, mics etc. Since the T3i is 4 years old should I just bite the bullet and get the T5i or should I get the T3i and save the money?
Average Ari (ON HIATUS)
The only disadvantage the T3i has is the missing auto focus. Just think about it whether this is important for you or not.
Can 700D take a photo in RAW?
(great video!!)
Yes. I don't think there is any DSLR released since 2013 that won't shoot raw.
Can I set RAW on the camera? (I'm not good in this topic😊)
Yes you can set RAW on the camera.
Is it me or does anyone else see a difference in video quality. The 700d seens to win in every review beteeen the 600d and 60d. The 700d looks always a bit more focused and clearer
Hello, i have a question. The 600d have internal mono microphone and 700d have internal stereo microphone. Is there a difference in practice?
i tested it in the video...

For that price I don't think you find something better for photo and video.
awesome! thanks i just purchased it!
Great review man, helped me out a ton!!!
This was one of the best videos ive ever watched, good job keep up the great work i have a question,do 600D and 700D have any diffrence when shooting video at low light?
+Ali Kurt
Thanks!
No, didn't see a difference between 600D and 700D, but the 750D is significantly better in low light.
+Video DSLR Tutorial thanks for the answer,i got this camera but after getting 50mm 1.8 what are the good overall and not so expensive lenses that you can suggest me for taking video? Currently i have 18-55kit and going to buy 50mm for doF but what else do i need?
My personal suggestion is the Sigma 30mm f1.4! 30mm is the perfect focal lengths for most situations and having f1.4 is simply amazing.
Hello ! .... can you please tell me what is the lens that you were using during filming ! ? .... and how much it cost ?

What lens did you use for the auto focus for canon 700d?
Sage Meredith 70-200 f4L
Hi, I want to buy one of these two cameras to do tech videos with the best quality possible so which camera do you think records better?

Only question: Do you need continues auto focus while recording or not.
Not really since I'm mostly recording static objects
I really love your effort man

Tha's not because of the cameras but because your SD card is to slow.

How continuous speed is so great in 700d. . . Because as per specification 700d has 5fps and once we take 4-5 photos it starts buffering
Maybe your SD card is slow, maybe you shoot in RAW.
Good video. Thanks for sharing.
Helped me a lot on getting started.
