    • @STREETMACHINETV
      @STREETMACHINETV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It was actually fuel, mixed with a little oil. The oil was from when I had the issue of the turbos backfilling with oil. I've fixed that. the fuel was because it was running so rich that unburnt fuel was coming out of the unfinished welds in the turbo pipes. I corrected that in the base MAP, started it again and it's fine now

    Yep i use penrite oils . Never had a trouble with engines after using penrite oils . Us car guys like the go hard but not at the expense of an engine . We used brad pemn oil in the burnout car though . Because penrite and methanol dont like it . Brad penn was made to be used with methanol . Hopefully this ute will be a beast . Go hard i say . Scotty you would love 2000hp . Not that you could use it but wouldnt that be fun .

    only 1 thing I hate about LS's, their a very untidy looking, mine I went with remote mount coils and spent a small fortune on stainless steel braided Hose for everything and going to lose every piece of wire going to take ages to do with rewiring, but effort will be worth it, I like how you have hidden the turbo's unfortunately my turbo is physically huge so won't fit most places you've done a brilliant job on the Ute Scotty hasn't taken you long to get it all together mine I'm now almost 2 years in but almost done

    • @STREETMACHINETV
      @STREETMACHINETV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @STREETMACHINETV
      @STREETMACHINETV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The point is you want to catch that oil and not have it go under the tyres at 170mph+. We'll have engine safeties in lace to protect the engine but physics is important. You still need to slow down safely and if there's oil under the tyres the chances of that are greatly reduced.

    In my LS converted VS, I ran the Teflon fuel hose along the inside spot welded flange on the LH sill. Where the hose passes over the jacking point at the base of the LH Guard, I made up a 3mm thick tube that sits and bolted nicely inside the sill flange for the hose to pass through and be totally protected. It’s about 150mm long. The hose continued on and then up behind the guard liner to the hole which is used for the side indicator wire to pass through from the engine bay. This hole is punched in, and about 20mm so it doesn’t need a grommet. I used right angle fittings to make this work perfectly. Then the hose has a straight line to the regulator mounted just next to the AC pipe inlet on the firewall. Keeps the fuel hose completely away from the exhaust, or any other heat source. I don’t have a pic of the underneath, but you can see the braided hose which I only used in the engine bay because I had leftovers from previous builds. Then I extended the indicator wire down to the headlight area, and back up to the indicator inside the LH Guard.

    • @STREETMACHINETV

      Our winters aren't quite as savage as you guys get, but the last month or two it's rarely over 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Most of the time it's ranging from 32 to 54 F. But we're very used warmer temps in summers 90 degrees for us is nice, in summer we'll frequently see 100 degree plus and we're in the southern part of the Australian continent, so it gets warmer and more humid as you go north.
