FUN FACT: The actress who plays Morgan Elsbeth, Diana Lee Inosanto, is Bruce Lee's god daughter. She is also Danny Inosanto's daughter, who was a close friend of Lee. He taught Bruce how to master the nunchucks and starred with him in the movie 'Game of Death'. His daughter, Diana, is a professionally trained martial artist and martial arts choreographer, as well as a professional stuntwoman. She performed all her own stunts and fight scenes and helped train the other actors in their roles. She also trained Rosario Dawson for her role as Ahsoka.

You can tell Louise is on Team Dathomir. She was quite distraught when Morgan died and when Thrawn targeted the Night Mother fortress. LOL
Side note about the zombies. I find it interesting that they continued to gain speed and strength the longer they went from the point of reanimation. They started sluggish and zombie-like, they started using blasters more and more, then flanking Ezra from behind, and using laser cutters to blow a door, and then RUNNING up the stairs full speed. They even stopped groaning and moaning later on, making more human like grunts, using cover, and reacting with pain when shot. i wonder if being so freshly killed, they reanimated with their minds more or less intact, they were hardly mindless, and just needed time to adjust.
The Death Troopers on the other hand were long dead, and did speak briefly during the fight with Sabine and Ezra. Really hope we get some sort of explanation for how reanimation magic works

I actually think your reactions to Ahsoka have been my favourite. You really just hit every mark with how I've felt too seeing all of it - Anakin, Nightsisters/Dathomir magic (my faves from Star Wars lore). And it's such a sheer delight to watch your pure unbridled joy at what is such a beautiful Star Wars story!

I was waiting for the moment when Sabine joined them after the crash and then said something like: did you see that maneuver?
then ezra would respond: if using a ship as a battering ram and then falling to the ground was a maneuver, yes it was incredible.
Then Ahsoka could say: you and my master would get along so well.
The appearance of those Mortis Gods in statue form imply that it is indeed Abeloth calling out to Baylan Skoll.
I really hope we get one last season of Ahsoka before Filoni’s Star Wars movie, but it will be bittersweet and sad knowing Ray Stevenson’s not gonna be there to continue on as Baylan Skoll. So whoever they get for that character better honor the work of Ray very well.

If it is Abeloth, perhaps she is calling Baylan to take over his body and in that way justifies the recast into someone like Helen Mirren or other incredible actress. In that way the story goes on, but it leaves 'Baylan' with Ray, and the gender change will put further distance between the portrayals.
As cool as it would be, I fail to follow your logic regarding Abeloth.

And At least Ezra was able to finally get his own full suit set of Stormtrooper armor just like Kanan (most of the time he did say all he ever got was the helmet)
I find it fascinating that the Nightsisters are going to fulfill the role of the Noghri from the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy, acting as Thrawn's elite troopers.
Another thing to think about next season or next movie (which ever comes first) Ventress is buried on Dathomir, and Merrin is a thing at this time. So there is a lot of potential for a Dathomir storyline in the future. Merrin being called back to Dathomir by the Great Mothers would be an EASY way to bring Cal Kestis into live action. And Cal already has history with Boba Fett so theres another connection into the Mandoverse.
OMG I forgot about Ventress. My first thought was of Merrin; what conflicting loyalties might she feel at this point? I'd love for Merrin and Cal to bring the Nightsisters on THEIR side, haha. I think they were upset that Thrawn destroyed their temple.
@@lisamarieligreci-newton7804 I don’t think the Mothers are really interested in helping Thrawn any ways. I think they just used him to get to dathomir. So if Merrin meets them and explains how the Empire (separatists but still same thing) killed all the nightsisters I’d imagine it wouldn’t be to hard to convince them to join her and Cal. So imagine Merrin telling the Great Mothers about the slaughter of the Night Sisters then they find Ventress’ grave, resurrect her, and she gives a first hand account of how it happened.
Ventress, quite likely, merrin def less so.
@@Aussie27Legend I think Merrin would depend on if they want Cal to be in the live action world or not. If they do, this would be by far the easiest way to do it. If they aren’t interested in him in live action, like if they plan to kill him off Rogue One style in the next game, then they’ll never do it. So it seems like a now or never type deal for all those character from that game
@@stewdiesalot4008 Yeah, I was thinking about that. I'm not sure how common knowledge it is that the separatists and Dooku were actually tools of Palpatine (and thus the Empire)...I can't remember if Merrin (or Ventress) really knows the full truth that the Empire is responsible.
Watching this episode with the nightsister magic I just thought “Louise will love this”. Such an amazing episode. There were tears from all real star wars fans.

I would’ve love to see huyang’s reaction to Ezra’s first blaster lightsaber though I wished his third lightsaber was part blaster cause 1.) it’s unique and 2.) just to see huyang’s reaction either he would be amazed that a new lightsaber type can be added to the blueprints or he would flip out due to it not being a traditional lightsaber
Query: Since there is only 5 sabers on this planet (1- Baylon, 1- Shin, 1- Sabine, 2- Ahsoka), where did Ezra get another kyber for his new one? Are there more on the ship?

@@donovanhavok9160we saw quite a few lightsabers in Ahsoka's T-6 shuttle - presumably Huyang's collection, but it might include some lightsabers or crystals that Ahsoka has collected too.
But who knows, Ezra might have just popped into the world between worlds and got another crystal, like he did the first time. He might have already had it in his pocket, even, if he's been looking for one over the last decade.

Ironic that Thrawn's attempt to restore the Empire is so dependent on the Nightsisters when it was the Emperor and Darth Tyrannus who wanted the Nightsisters and Mother Talzin eliminated in the first place.

When the Night Troopers got resurrected by the Night Sisters' magic, I feel it was such a missed comedic moment that Ezra didn't say, "Yeah, they do that sometimes." 😁😁
It would also help justify what's with all the red bandaging and why they get the fancy title of being called _Night_ Troopers specifically.
Sabine pretty much doomed the whole galaxy and is not once called out on it nor is she punished.
I JUST noticed that the music playing when Thrawn leaves the galaxy is the same as when he was about to destroy the city on Lothal. Really nice symmetry there. But this time, as he said, victory was his instead of the good guys.
I'll have to remember to listen for that the next time I rewatch, neat tidbit.

There's nobody else noticed that both the Tie fighters and the night Troopers all their laser fire is the same green color as nightsister magic? Not the typical green we see from the other movies but the green of nightsisters magic

Death Troopers are my favorite varient of Imperial Stormtroopers by far. Something about that mystic surrounding thoes black- armoured Special Forces Operatives captivated my attention back when I First saw Rogue One.

I don't think there is any universe where they won't recast Baylan, because his character's quest seems to be the only avenue they've created for themselves to bring in the mortis gods in proper and then go forwards to Ahsoka's connection with the Daughter which really seems like what they're going after. I'd also like to see Sam Witwer in here, dude has been everywhere in SW except in person in live action and I feel like that would be a satisfying completion to HIS quest. It's also a damned tragedy that Ray Stevenson didn't get to see how loved his portrayal ended up being.

I REALLY like that Filoni has reintroduced the mystical aspects of the Force (wont get into midichlorian discussions) in several ways. Apparently season 2 is "in discussions" but the strikes really set things back. I suspect if it happens yes we could see the father and son and daughter again...and interactions with them and Baylon and Ahsoka. Plus now we know Anakin is offically a Force ghost, not just a hologram or vision in the World between Worlds. Also yes Ahsoka's saber got destroyed BUT they have an entire ship full of lightsaber parts.

The woman playing Morgan Elsbeth, is named Diana Lee Inosanto, and her father is an extremely well-known, and well-respected martial artist. Dan Inosanto is one of Bruce Lee’s oldest students, and best friends. He taught Bruce Lee how to use nunchucks, and some Filipino martial arts, while Bruce Lee taught him his personal martial art called Jun Fan Gung Fu, which he later renamed Jeet Kune Do. They were such good friends, he gave his daughter the last name of his friend as her middle name. Dan Inosanto is one of the most revered and respected Filipino martial artists in the world, so his daughter has been training since she was a child in various martial arts, and that’s why she looks so good in her fight scenes.

seeing that they’re saying thrawn woke the witches, maybe the cargo isn’t dead nightsisters, but nightsisters in some sort of suspended animation or hibernation vampire style
after watching some reaction, all only saw Mortis Father and Son statue, but the Daugther statue is there, too. But without the Head.
The Death Troopers novel is actually quite good. The horror/zombie atmosphere is very well written.
You would think something as lethal and vital as a light saber would have at least a couple of screws to keep it together, but no, it just click and that's it.
