This one season alone of Ahsoka really did go as far to include so much of Star Wars lore that you could easily tie every single piece of it to a time period we've seen. The prequels, sequels, originals, clone wars, you name it.

@12:53 a citation within the military is a formal, honorary mention by high authority of a military unit's or individual's specific and outstanding performance in battle. So to get a citation from Thrawn is quite the honour.

at 37:00 when Baylon is stepping forward and the camera is at his back you can see a light faintly pulsing on the peak of a mountain in the distance. The father's hand is pointing at it. Season 2 story!

      its so bad
      - Thrawn is a absolute dumbA and wastes every chance he has : this isn't a genius tactician, this is a dumb character being said to be more capable than he actually is
      - AHSOKA DOES NOTHING THE ENTIRE STORY, REMOVE HER AND NOTHING CHANGES - she fails the lampost test
      - Ezra weaker than sabine, throughout the episode he's insulted, downplayed, left on a ship to die by sabine, after everything she did to get to him just leaves him to have a "girl power" duo fight with Ahsoka for no reason
      Sabine
      -------
she is a mary sue. Goes from no ability to having all the ability. the lore literally changes to accommodate her being a force user. She sacrifices the main galaxy for someone she has no romantic inclination to for what... brotherly bond? that's dumb and faces no consequences for her action (no, being stuck isn't a consequence cause it not called out as a bad thing)
      The Force
      ------
The force being for anyone means ANYONE. Thawn can have the force, let that sink in THRAWN CAN HAVE THE FORCE, the previous Mando villain went about cloning to have the force and it was COMPLETELY POINTLESS TO DO. How anyone looks at this as not a retcon is asinine. NONE OF THIS WAS GOOD, destroys the entire point of the lore
why wouldn't the jedi or better the sith train anyone, no reason not to. Sabine learned how to IN A WEEK WITH NO ABILITIES this is dumb , there's no defense for this.
      Plot
      -------
None of the plot works the moment u analyze it. Ahsoka accomplished nothing, Ezra ra left to die on that ship by Sabine who cares more about Ahsoka than the person she risked everything for. Baylan does nothing the entire way through yet people like him for simply not being insufferable like the rest of the cast. NOTHING HAPPENS IN 8 EPISODES, saying "well Thrawn returned" means nothing, he hasn't yet arrived, you could start a season here and nothing would change
this was a bad show and hoping "season 2" would be better is asinine

About Shin's ending in this episode...I'm guessing that, since Ray Stevenson had died, there was some, perhaps, creative editing going on, because Dave *(All Hail Dave!)* needed to rethink Baylon's portrayal.
~Also, don't forget that, when Ahsoka offered her help, Shin had a moment of young *vulnerability.* I think that's going to be important soon. She also didn't look too confident when she raised her light saber to the tribe. She's very much on her own out there, in spite of the tribe.

It surprises me how often I see reactors misunderstanding that. A citation if for a commendation regarding the pilots. A note of their accomplishments in epitaph. Preparing for a ground assault is to defend against Asoka because he knows she will no be coming by ground with her shuttle damaged. I don't get why so many folks think Thrawn was planning to launch a ground assault.

Opinions regarding the mercenaries -- Unfortunately, because of the sad unprecedented death of Ray Stevenson, it seems like they had to tweak the writing towards the end of the season to end Baylan's character. As far as Shin, I think you guys got her wrong but I also don't see the writers contextualizing her character too much because it would take away from Ahsoka and make the series over saturated with stories since there's Thrawn, Sabine, Ezra, and Hera. Shin however, is interesting, intriguing, and does have the potential to become a fan favorite. I can definitely see how they can develop her into an opposite Anakin-esque story over time -- meaning dark turning Jedi vs Jedi turning dark.
