    Ashley this is great to hear about your cholesterol levels going down. I never wanted to do a keto diet because they really don't teach people about healthy fats. I appreciate your comment, and respectfully, I don't agree with some. We were talking about people like us with high levels of cholesterol. I can't understand how having bacon fat and butter every day is healthy, which is not. If you see how the bacon grease when it gets cold, it turns into a glob of fat. That is exactly what happens in your body. My father and other people have died of atherosclerosis cardiovascular disease. Which is when fats, cholesterol build up and harden in the arteries. People who have high cholesterol levels should not eat too much high fats and lower the amount of red meats, full fat diary, fried foods, and tropical oils such as coconut and Palm oil. Healthy fats such as fish, nuts, olive oil, and avocado are good unsaturated fats. Those are good examples of healthy fats. Having butter in your coffee or every day is not healthy. Also, coconut oil is not good for people who need to lower their cholesterol levels. @AshleySalvatori is a great example of changing her diet, and her blood work proves it. I really hope people do their homework and not fall into the trap of some diets. Everything to a limit is sometimes ok. I am sure these keto inventors have stock in the items they are pushing as healthy to eat. Please do your homework. I hope this helps some people open their eyes. Be blessed, everyone. 🙏

      @@elizabeth683 When internal body temperature is in the upper 90s (98.6 being the norm), how is bacon fat going to turn "cold" inside your body and clog your arteries?

    • @elizabeth683
      @elizabeth683 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jzoberek It's not about the fat turning cold or hot. It's about getting your arteries clogged. I know, the same way people eat too much fat even though our body has an internal temperature of 98.6. I spoke to a cardiologist because someone in my family has heart disease, and that is the answer I got. The body can break down but so much.

    Hi, there ❤️ High platelets is a sign of the following: If your platelet count is too high, blood clots can form in your blood vessels. This can block blood flow through your body. Thrombocythemia refers to a high platelet count that is not caused by another health condition. This condition is sometimes called primary or essential thrombocythemia! Also: An elevated platelet count has been shown to be associated with short-term risk of cancer in the general population. A more sure sign of HAVING cancer is high CRP over time‼️

    You inspire me. I'm in the middle of a 30 day OMAD trial. I can relate to you on the platelets. When I was 22 years old I found out my platelets were at 1.5 million. I was put on chemo pills to kill off platelets. I was diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia. Through my pregnancies, my platelets leveled off to around 500,000 and have remained between 400,000 and 500,000 for the last 10 years, which my doctor is happy with. I do take a baby aspirin daily just to be safe. Praying that you find answers! ❤

    Just started OMAD yesterday. I set my eating window between 12pm-4pm cause I figured it might be a little easier for me to do being new to eating this way. I am keeping it at 1,300 calories so I don't over eat regardless of fasting, lol. The hardest part at the moment is from 10am-12pm which isn't bad for a two hour window of torture, lol. I'm hoping I'll get used to it and think about food a little less. Over the last year eating a low calorie diet I've lost 63 lbs and am hoping OMAD can help boost my weight loss a little. I have about 49 lbs to get to my goal of 170 and 69 lbs give or take to be finished losing weight all together. I feel very confident that I can do this. Yay!

Campbell, who wrote The China Study said, meat can turn on cancer cells, and not eating meat can turn off cancer cells. Just an interesting factoid. I'm liking everything I'm hearing and learning from your journey. I would like to start intermittent fasting. I'll need to work up to the 23 hours. Looking forward to watching "How to Start OMAD." I'd like to hear your thoughts about manifesting. I have a link to a list of 100 Manifesting Affirmations. And when I get a chance to be alone, I open it and read each one with deep intention, almost like I'm praying the affirmations to the Universe. And since I began doing that, our little business we run from home has been going gang-busters. My husband said the other day, "where is all this work coming from?" And in the back of my mind, I wondered, is the Universe acknowledging me and my prayers/affirmations? What else could it be? I'm a firm believer, ever since I watched The Secret; I try to find the time for saying my affirmations.

    You need to research mouth taping while sleeping it allows so many health benefits Nitric Oxide is only achieved through nasal breathing . Mouth breathers have issues health wise one being blood cells. Research it’s a simple adjustment to your sleep many health benefits… I do OMAD as well over a year I was borderline diabetic and did not want to be out on meds. I have never been healthier in my life which got me into looking in other methods of health w out meds . Mouth taping helps with brain fog .

    A very similar situation happened to me… I’ve been on keto for 4 years now (although not super, super strict) …..
    My latest blood work was HORRIBLE!!! Not just that…. But so was my kidney function…. My eGFR was 58….(that’s stage 3a kidney disease/ damage) I’m a 53 year old female and a eGFR of 58 is really scary…. It turns out it’s from to much protein…. It’s terrible on your kidneys (mine are proof of that)….I NEVER drink alcohol or soda and I also do not take over the counter medicines….
    So now, I’m on yet another special diet of NO MEATS!!! At least for now…. A strict 1,800 calorie diet and water, water, water, water….half of my plate is to be starchy veggies and the other half non starchy veggies…
    I’m also trying to do 2 meals a day…. That’s what is working for me…
    Keto is great for people whom are wanting to lose weight…. (That was me also)…. BUT…. I honestly am starting to think it’s not sustainable nor healthy …. To much saturated fat….🤷🏻‍♀️
    Just my opinion. Thank you for the video 💕❤️🙏🏼

    • @AshleySalvatori
      @AshleySalvatori  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just talked about diet breaks and there’s also reverse dieting to lift the metabolic rate once you hit your goal. Eventually your body will burn what you consume to maintain but there are ways to adjust this

    Are you also making an appointment with your GP as well as gynecologist?
    I wouldn't take iron supplements before seeing your GP first.. let them analyze your test results first. You don't want to be masking anything with iron supplements until they've figured out why your platelets are high.
    Good luck :)

    Why the big fear about high cholesterol , when we all know the real truth that cholesterol does not cause heart attacks or clogs arteries, it’s calcium what blocks the arteries, processed food and sugar, most heart attacks are caused by heart muscle failure due to poor health and fitness combined with stress,. Cholesterol is good for testosterone, mental health clarity and many more things. The body naturally builds cholesterol for a reason. Statins just give horrible side effects and only saves 1% of people that takes them or really need them. As long as we meet our weight and fitness goals and feel great without meds, that’s what counts, food is medicine and if we eat good food we may eliminate most if not all meds, including type 2 diabetes with functional medicine by functional doctors, curing the cause and not giving pills for the symptoms that will deplete other nutrients and create other problems.
