    I'm happy you figured out what's right for you! I need keto for my mental health first and foremost. My head feels so much better when I'm eating high fat and staying in ketosis. It's been life changing for my anxiety and depression. It also keeps the GERD away and my blood pressure normal. Otherwise I'd be on meds for all of it. I think as I've gotten older, health has become the priority vs the scale. I'd be overweight and medicated without keto! I'm definitely going to do the microbiome test you recommend to dial things in even further-- thank you for sharing your journey!

    Hi Ashley! I’ve been following you for several years now, esp. when I was in my keto phase. Unfortunately keto ultimately didn’t work out for me bc it increased my migraines, but the macros you eat now also are around what works for me as well. I’m going to try two meals a day and I think if I tried the ketones it might help ward off some of those fasting headaches. I ordered the micro biome test and thank you for that discount (it gave me the option to also order a discounted test right after for my husband!). I am so excited you’re finding your diet truth. It’s inspiring and I can’t wait for your next videos on how you’re doing. Don’t worry if you think the videos might be repetitive bc you’re maintaining bc even seeing you experience diet peace and observing your maintenance is so very important for us to see!       So happy you figured out a balance that works well for you in your life!!!! Keto was great for me at specific times, I have nothing against it! but be aware if it starts sending you backwards that might be a time to think about what you are doing nutritionally etc.

      @@dammiafolabi552 thanks! Best advice is to read: FAST, FEAST, REPEAT by Gin Stephens (I used the free audible trial to listen to it). The key (for me) is to CLEAN fast....meaning while fasting only drink plain water (no flavors), black tea or black coffee. In doing that, I found that I wasn't hungry when fasting. I switch things up, but typically do a daily 20 hour with a 4 hour eating window. I literally eat whatever I want in my open window and don't count calories.

    I've had great success doing omad (23 hr). An example of that meal is 4 oz of any 100% grassfed meats or wild caught seafood, 1/2 cup of organic fermented red cabbage or sauerkraut, organic kalamata or black olives (6), 1/2 of organic sweet potato, 3 cups of organic steamed veggies w/evoo + lemon juice, small salad with ACV/EVOO and sliced low carb fruit and a iced chia matcha latte for desert. I eat the salad with ACV and veggies first since I'm diabetic then everything else. I also walk my dogs for 20 mins right after that meal to help glucose spike. During holidays and special celebrations or just out to dinner with friends I don't stress and eat more and what looks good. I went on strict keto and it helped my autoimmune diseases but I found myself thinking about food too much, omad sets you free (In my opinion and experience).

    my only concerns are what about weight gain when you start to incorporate carbs into your diet after being off it for so long?? also, I'm very concerned about being hungry while eating carbs, will it make fasting more difficult ??

    I am hoping to lose the same amount of weight doing the same. I've been dieting for about 2 months, calorie counting, and weighing myself every day, but the scale is stuck. Hope fasting will move the scale.

    Did you see any effects of OMAD on your cycle? Some people suggest omad before ovulation and not fasting between ovulation and getting the cycle .. what was your personal experience in this area please?

      Maintenance is if you want to stay at your current weight. A deficit is to loose weight.

      I just lift weights for maybe 10 min a day, nothing crazy and I jump on the rebounder for about 10 to 20 min :) i pulled way back on the intense workouts I was doing

      There is no way I would have ever thought the actual foods that were the problem were the actual problem, so IDK but it would be hard to know what is actually causing issues by eliminating but I think people do that!

    Your body doesn't get used to lower calories. You lose weight/become smaller therefore you need less calories

      The PRO does not break your fast! The researchers that created it made it specifically to be used in the fasted state to enhance the fast, it is low enough protein that it will not stop autophagy

    Great video but how do you socialize with people who do eat few times a day.. I would be frustrated watching my gf having breakfast or lunch in front of me, not sharing those nice moments anymore.. Or with friends after work for example. I love the moment as much as the food itself 😅

    I did do keto for a long while and then fell off the wagon. It never worked the same after going back. It’s not maintainable and you WILL gain it back plus some.

      Keto is a lifestyle. People gain it back cuz they start eating carbs all over. If you stick to mostly proteins, veggies and fruits you won’t gain it all back. You can have carbs but in moderation. Keto is like someone going vegan
