- The Twin Sisters Peak, elevation 8738', is located about half way between Boulder and Nederland in the Roosevelt National Forest. Unlike its more famous namesake in RMNP, this peak sees very few visitors. I hiked it a day after a major snow storm that dumped 1-2ft of snow in this area, and had to break trail on the approach to the summit. The summit was well worth the effort though, with unobstructed view of the Front Range to the west, and all the popular peaks near Boulder to the east. Total stats from Forsythe Canyon TH: 5.5 miles with 1100ft elevation gain

Impressive rock wall on the Sister!
Thanks Mark!
I enjoyed your video. Love the drone shots too. Beautiful views.
Thanks Vickie! A short but fun winter hike close to home
Boulder, CO and the surrounding area was my stomping grounds. But I did not know of this Twin Sisters. Although I did hike Twin Sisters in RMNP. Nice video!
I didn’t know about it either until last year as there is little info available. I wanted to check it out as a half day objective and I’m glad I did. The approach was interesting but the summit was the best part. Thanks for watching
Thanks for this. The close ups of distant peaks are great.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed them
Beautiful! I love the snow from the comfort of my computer.... haha. I moved to Arizona to escape the cold during hikes.
Thank you 🙏 Having lived in CO for more than 30 years I’m used to the cold now. It does limit the hiking season especially in the high country. I enjoy some hiking in neighboring warmer states during winter time. Just returned from a trip to NM and will hit AZ in a few weeks. Happy trails!
@ nice! It took me 4 years to acclimate to the heat of Phoenix. Our bodies are amazing!
Enjoy your time in Arizona. Where are you planning to hike?
Will be in Grand Canyon for a couple of days then off to Vegas to check out Red Rock Canyon area
Pretty cool summit and vdeo, been up the other one several times, keep treking
Thank you
