Are the huts open again? I have a couple of weeks off in September (2020) that would fit your last tour of the year but I can’t work out if its viable due to Cov 19 restrictions?
For anyone not having any experience in the Alps. Different countries have different levels of hut quality. Generally whilst all are a means to an end the French ones are poor in comparison. Italian huts e.g. are better. But like i say its all relevant to where you go climbing.
I am vegan and have just got back from MB last night. My tour guide let them know in advance and I had dinner and breakfast vegan 😎 Also they sell ‘pasta vegetarian’ in the Tette rousse and Gouter huts.
You mention dietary requirements, can the huts cater for people with food allergies and provide gluten and dairy free food? Is it only the Chabod hut that can cater for food allergies?
At the moment only the Chabod will do this. However we do get plenty of clients with these allergies and they manage OK on Mont Blanc, either by only eating certain things or carrying a few extra items themselves.
Great video and good channel!

If you had seen the previous arrangement at Goutier, you would be happy to come back alive. Was best to use it after dark.

As a vegetarian would I need to bring my own food, or can they normally cobble something together?
