I've been sewing since I was 8 yrs. old. I am now 72. Oddly enough, I've never had occasion during all that time to make cushions with a box corner. I wanted to make new dining room chair cushions, but was lost when it came to making the box. I have to commend you on your easy instructions!! I made them all in about 30 minutes and they look wonderful. BTW, yours was the 4th TH-cam video I watched and the ONLY one that made sense to me and made me feel like I could do it. Thank you so much!

I was so nervous cutting the fabric as I bought it overseas so it was not replaceable. I had four cushions to make and followed this video step by step for each of them. They turned out perfectly! Other videos speeding through the process only make it daunting, stressful and confusing. Thank you so much for your clear, calm and precise instructions. I am thrilled!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I watched this video numerous times. Then I watched it, paused it, completed a step, watched a little more, rewound, watched again, paused until I was finished with the first cushion. I'm making covers for dog beds custom sized to fit into crates for travel. I paid $25/yard for Sunbrella fabric on clearance so it would be durable and comfortable. I did not want to mess this up. Sewing is not my favorite thing. This video was perfect. I love how you encourage us through the video. You're so calm and easygoing about the process. Is there any way you can help me on the side part. After I sewed the zipper on and it's time to sew down the sides before doing the last 2 box corners is where I keep messing up. For some reason I sew down the side and then the zipper when I flip the cover right side out is messed up. Where the start or end of the zipper should be on the sides that's where I'm having issues. Not sure if I'm not sewing at the right spot or what I'm doing wrong. The video says sew from the zipper down the side but that's the only part of the video where it's not clearly shown where to start sewing.

@@heatherconte5445 I started sewing the side seam from directly to the side of where I'd finished sewing the zipper - so parallel to it, but around the 1/2 inch from the edge of the fabric> Make sure reverse sew that first bit. Should work - let me know if its still not clear and I'll try to explain it better. Good luck

LOVED LOVED LOVED the video. I decided to use a velcro closure in the back on the depth where the zipper would be however, and it worked perfectly. Hardest part is getting the cushion back on the form. I have had 3 zippers break on me on my patio furniture, one even melted so I wanted the velcro instead. Thank you so much for doing this. My cushions look great.

Your video was so fantastic, really FANTASTIC. I have found it difficult to find people like yourself who like to tackle jobs in their home, like sewing but don’t need or want to be professional with professional equipment and technical methods because having to learn the “ technical correct way” is too time consuming for our task, as it make be a one off! Your end result was perfect and your methods were just what I was looking for. Thank you so much, you were FANTASTIC 🌸

This was the most clear explanation of how to measure and cut out the corners for the box corner. First time upholsterer here, so was really anxious about wrecking expensive fabric. I made mine without zips, as I was using heavyweight fire retardant sofa style fabric, and they won't be taken off to wash, so hand sewed the last side where the zipper would be. Thank you for posting the tutorial.

Great video! I, like so many, have watched multiple videos on box cushion covers. Yours was by far the best - easy to understand and your calm voice and detailed instructions were a large part of way it stood out. I’m not an accomplished seamstress but by following your instructions I was able to complete 4 cushion covers without pulling out my hair. They look pretty darn good too. A big boost to my sewing confidence. Many thanks!

I have never ever sewn anything before and today I followed your step by step tutorial to sew a cushion and I have learnt so so much. I have sewn my first ever cushion let alone a zipper cushion. I am so chuffed. Thank you so much. Now I have four more to sew but with your tutorial I am feeling confident. Thank you so much

After I murdered the first cushion (it took me 2 hours to figure out how to put on a zipper foot 🤣) it was a disaster of epic proportions. I mis measured. Once that was cut off and I regrouped, 2 cushion came out beautifully! This was the best and simplest tutorial for a novice, not even novice, sewer like myself. Thank you!!!

Hi Steh, I am so glad I found your video after watching 5 others. I have to say that you lay it out so nicely and clear so it is super easy to follow. I also like the facts that you plan the zipper around the corner so it is much easier to get the cushion in and out. lot’s of compliments to your Video person who got the whole project well into the picture so we can get the full peak of all the steps. Very well done you all! Great Team work !

I am ready to cover the cushions for my deck furniture and have been watching all the tutorials. I have been struggling with how I want to insert the zippers and this tutorial is the ticket! I am fairly experienced and have made covered and zippered cushions before but it's been awhile and I needed a refresher. Your video was so straightforward and easy to understand and I am ready to crank out 8 cushions now.

I got it first time.. In fact, just to make sure I followed... I paused and played several times.. Just a massively big thank you for helping me get my yoga cushions done for my client.. Hopefully she will be syked to see the effort I put it😎💐😇👏💚 thank you again.. Be blessed.. Keep doing the good works 💐🎊👍🙏👌💞
