    Thanks so much for posting this. I'm going to ice dye a 10 oz canvas drop cloth to do this.
    My question is regarding the configuration of my cushions. I don't really want to buy new foam, but the seat cushion covers the whole base and the back cushion sits on top of it. The seat migrates out and the back falls down. There is a channel in the seat cushion for the seat belts. I also don't want to try to duplicate that. If I made the back be full height, the seat belts would go in between the two cushions. Either way non skid stuff or velcro could take care of the migration problem. Hopefully. Please let me read any words of wisdom about the best way to proceed. Thanks in advance!

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would do exactly that! My cushions fix really snug so I didn't have that issue, but I would just use Velcro and I bet that helps. If you do decide to create completely new stuffing I suggests making them bigger then the ones currently in your RV so that way they fit really snug in their spot! I hope this helps!

  • @GatitaKarlita

    What type of fabric you suggest?

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly think most would work fine, something with a little stretch will help. I believe mine are just cotton so they aren't "stretch" but they have some give. So I sewed them a little smaller then the actual cushion, when putting them on its a snug fit!

  • @jessicac6784
    @jessicac6784 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ok I'm diving into this project. I have been sewing for a month haha!! But I'm wondering how to do a curved cushion? Would it be different? I'm having trouble visualizing what you did on the flat ones on the couple I have with curves. They go in the corners of the "sectional" part.

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh my gosh the curved sections are so hard! I actually did do ours! I basically cut out each piece and sewed together. So for example, all the edges, the back, the bottom, the curved inside. Then I pinned all of the sides to the cushion and sewed. I will definitely try to make a video of this for you!!! 🙌🏻 it’s not perfect but it’s also not super hard! Took me a few try’s for sure!

  • @MSL_60
    @MSL_60 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How did you get the pillow out after you pinned the sides tightly on both sides? Maybe once I do it, it will be simple, but I'm thinking it was tight in there, and the pins would pop out? Thanks for this. I'm debating making my own new cushion covers, or just ordering stretchy chair covers (another tip I saw on another video) Love you simple, no measure, cut blindly attitude! Haha I hate measuring honestly 😂 it was tough, I had to be really gentle when removing!

    Loved your video! I am new to sewing, can you tell me approximate how much material to buy? How much did you use for the one cushion? thanks!

      Oh my gosh I honestly can’t. I usually buy way too much to be honest t especially when it’s a color I know is really popular like this one! I’m sorry I can’t answer better!

    Could you put the opening in the bottom part so in case of any stains you can just turn it round?

    Could you use this method for the long base pillows too?

      YES... I'm trying to work this out too.... I've done a dummy run..... My lines are wonky... Sooo I think I need to draw lines to be more accurate.

    Can I ask how you use this as a template? I have to make 2 of each size cushion. Thanks!

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely don’t have a template, I also never measure (😂 I know so many would cringe at that!). I just use each cushion!

    How do you do this of there is a piece of wood in the cushions? they are bench seats, with a wood bottom.

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should look up how to staple in fabric! That is probably your best bet, I would have done it that way if I also had the wood backing! You just have to wrap the fabric a specific way and then staple to the wood!

      Totally can!! I liked pinning because it’s quick and easy. Do what works for you ☺️🙌🏻
