The touring is supposed to have better NVH, more insulation in the hood and thicker windows but that should be standard across the line, I’m with you there, they should focus more on NVH.
Yes I do agree. It should on all. My mom’s 2017 EX is quieter than this new one. Honda is doing really really bad with road noise and tire noise. It’s sad for a huge well known company to do that
@@Iegend17 that’s so of that the 2017 EX is better, it really shouldn’t be. Are you talking about wind noise or tire noise? Because if it’s wind noise, the tire it has equipped plays a major roll. If it’s wind noise, that would be weird.
Interesting. I herd the hybrids have quiter tires or maybe you have different tires than this one. I drove so many cars on the same exact roads. From the video you can see some parts are well paved and some are average and some are bad. But CT roads are pretty good compare to other states
Honda absolutely can and knows how to make a quiet car and it’s called an Acura. Unfortunately these normal people “budget” car don’t get that treatment when Honda is constantly counting pennies. And these so called normal people cars aren’t so cheap anymore to be honest.
Holy that's a CRV?! It's huge! Suburban sizes. Talk about trying to skate by on reputation, maybe it's time for Honda to step aside and let the Korean manufacturers take over, since it seems they've given up.
How do you think an ICE crossover like the Honda CR V sport touring compares to the tesla model Y? I’ve never driven a tesla but the interior is so bland and basically you only have a giant IPad for all your controls and functions. Yet it seems like the OTA updates and tech features like FSD beta / sentry mode / built-in dash cam would be addicting for a daily driver. Still seems like tesla cheaps out on anything they can (e.g. getting rid of ultra sonic sensors entirely, getting rid of stocks for turn signal controls, getting rid of passenger side seat control adjustment button, etc.) yet everyone seems to love their teslas. Asking this genuinely as I’m looking heavily at these two cars for my next vehicle purchase and I saw you also reviewed a tesla model Y.
I highly recommend the Tesla model Y. I have one myself and I love it so much. It drives amazing and there is a ton of storage place. No more creepy gas stations no more oil changes. It’s a great experience, and having only one screen in the middle isn’t bad as everyone says.
i could hear the road noise loud as crap which sucks in honda !!! which is the most negative downside of this brand plus the engine too a puny 1.5 L for a midsize suv…
The rogue SV has a way quieter interior double pane front glass and the 1.5 turbocharged 3 cylinder is faster and gets 35 miles per gallon with AWD 0 to 60 in 7.5 seconds
Funny you mentioned road and cabin noise. I find I can find all kinds of information on a vehicle, but no information is so secret as to how loud a vehicle's cabin is.

The cabin/road noise is due to the terrible Hankook Kinergy tires Honda puts on the CRV's. Probably gotta cut costs somewhere and the tires were one of them along with many other features. Im sure better tires would resolve a lot of the noise issue.
@@IvanRossS I got my 2023 CRV EX-L a couple of weeks ago. I don't know what the stock tires sound like yet cause I swapped them out for the X-Ice Michelin's for the winter. The cabin is very quiet and barely any road noise.
I just bought the 23 EXL, the car is not serious underpower as you said, its a bit lack of power when accelerate and merge into highway with normal mode. but problem solved by switch it into sport mode, i don't have any problem afterward. It is smooth and very quiet family daily car, it can be fun with the sport mode on too
Think they are trying to get their reliability back, so they are taking an engine capable of much more power and underpowering it. The new HRV can't even get out of it's own way.
@@plightn I think they want to lower the fuel consumption and have better mpg, i think using the 2 liter engine would be better, but the 1.5 is not that bad and it does its work, of coz the more is better
Exactly...!!! You don't build a brand new vehicle from the ground up and stick it with the same power train. Honda MAJORLY dropped the ball doing that. Nissan took a huge gamble with the 3cyl turbo in it's new Rogue and it's paying off so far.
I think the outgoing model looks TEN TIMES better than this. I don't like the interior at all WAY to "bland". I think i'll stick with a new Toyota Rav 4 or Nissan Rogue.
BIG ZONK TO ALL THE TRIMS OF 2023 MODELS........1. No fog lights 2. No panoramic sunroof 2. No levers to pull down the backseat 3. No usb charger in the back. 4.Only 2 way lumbar instead of 4.5.
