The 84 year old owner lives in Paris may have since died. De Roze, the owner's father, was a great illusionist, he presented around the years 1930-40-50 ... magic numbers in the great European music halls. This magnificent country house is for sale-wish I could buy it, the renovation is estimated at 750k€ . But I hope some with the nessesery money will give this juwel new life.

I looked up the Poster of "De Roze" It seems he was from Switzerland and he presented an act titled "The Wonder Barman" as early as 1936 in Europe and America..perhaps he was a relative. I have watched many of your videos, but I believe this one was the most touching and heart wrenching to watch. As a mother who has children and the start of grandchildren, I can't imagine having that many memories and moments lived under one roof and then just taking off and leaving it all behind. Since the man was obviously much older than the woman, I wonder if he might have past away and they were financially stretched and had to leave. Otherwise, I hate to say it, something horrible could have happened, but I hope not. That would just be the worst! Thank you for taking us to this amazing place where a family once loved and lived happily together, until they didn't. 🥺
Local churches and cemeteries keep birth/ death records from way back. You could look there for more info. I can feel the love of this beautiful couple all the way to USA. The house is indeed for sale. Bruno is the real estate agent & one of the daughters lives in Paris. She will only take a few pieces of furniture, but the rest will be sold with the house. He told me that they liked going to flea markets, which is why there is so much stuff. I saw Explomo's video & he was given access, after being caught, by Bruno & was even invited to dine with him. 👍💜🇺🇸🙋♀️
@@queva3062 As far as I know everything is for sale. He said that whatever the family doesn't want will stay in the house to be sold. I don't know if they'd sell individual pieces or all goes with the house.
It's hard to believe they are all gone. All their precious things left behind. I hope someone maybe a family member comes back and claims all those photos. They are priceless. I hope the family is ok wherever they are. Thanks for zooming into those photos and the video you did a great job!

The “tool box” is a sewing box that each side keeps opening up and out to the sides and holds much of the supplies for the one doing the sewing. So many family photos it makes one wonder what happened to this family? This home gives off a loving family vibe. I hope wherever they are they are at peace❤️
Maureno did this house, too. The owner is still alive and is selling it, he lives in Paris now, if I remember well. What is very strange, is that all the memories are there, the pictures, the objects. Very weird, if I move from my home to another house I grab all the pictures and memories with me, for sure. Looks like something sad happened there. Those people loved to treasure every momment, and they just lived there to rotten? Great job, I like your way to view things and show details to us.

@@theresa_lili that is not Necessarily true in all cases. Plus why would he come back and pack after the stuff sat there for years and years. There is massive amounts of spider webs and dust. He probably doesn't ever want any of it again for some sad reason.
You would think out of 11 people if they had an accident or something at least 1or2 would of survived & would be old enough to come back & retrieve some of there family goods. Love this happy house. You can tell lots of good memories here. So sad where did this family go? Let' s pray they are safe somewhere. A family this large and no one to come for the belongings seems really off. That sewing box brought back memories for. me. My grandmother who is passed had a sewing box exactly like the one you saw. Wow had not seen one like that in over 30 some years. Someone in this home was a fabulous artist. And had very sweet things. All the jars vases and pretty boxes were great. Really good find and wonderful storytelling once again. Your way of doing and showing these homes is terrific. You guys are awesome. Always enjoyable to watch and listen to your take on the findings. Hey those terracotta floors were stunning as well as the unique stove. And I felt peace looking out that upstairs balcony patio. I sincerely hope this family is okay or at the least at peace. Leslie, I think the Magician Roze was her grandfather. The poster is 1930's, the pictures of him are late 1940's. Her modelling pics are late 1970's. The sad part is that I do not see a husband present anymore. No adult male artifacts. There is certainly more to the story.

I love your romantic approach to these abandoned homes and the lives of their previous owners. Which is why I think your assumptions are sometimes wrong. But,it doesn't matter because we can never know what's really going on inside someone's four walls. You are very respectful and compassionate,one old soul, a true gentleman.😇👍❤🤗

Everyone has a life and story and you warmly express the passion for telling them and it brings more to the show than anything you are viewing. I'm guessing that the elderly couple that you are seeing in the photos are probably the people who owned that property. The photos of the woman modeling was probably a daughter or grand daughter. All the children are probably grand children and great grand children. The decorating is very reminiscent of a much older generation. Sadly, maybe the owners passed away suddenly. Sad that everything has been left behind and forgotten by family.
I agree with that analogy. The grandparents lived there and all the photos are of their children and grandbabies. It's still sad to know that once that home was filled with a big family with warmth and love and now they're gone and the house is just fading into obscurity.
Maureno from Explomo uploaded a video about this place recently, the owner is still alive (he's in his 80s), his wife has passed away. Some of the pictures are from when his wife modeled and the ones near the fireplace are from his daughter modeling. The pics of the little kids are the owner's kids.
I agree. The tradition in France was to put pictures of yourself and your wife/husband above your bed, not of your parents (that would be creepy !). The actual owner could be the son, or son-in-law of the old lady seen in the pictures, he may have inherited the house after she passed away.

I don’t understand this ridiculous adoption of the phony super smooth voice for the videos and the constant staging of items in the home and embroidering, or in most cases just plain wholesale creation, of a storyline. The natural voice and the lovely houses themselves are enough to satisfy all but the most juvenile of viewers and anything more is totally unnecessary. Alternatively, they could actually be different and do a bit of VERY basic research and just tell the truth instead of a fanciful fairy tale. If not, they could just tell the truth and say they know nothing whatsoever about the owners! Counting one big bed and nine smaller ones does NOT mean a family had 9 children. 🙄
Yah, those older places a lot of times did only have twin beds. They never had as much cloths. So closets were smaller. The xtra rooms, were used for company, they traveled, to visit and stayed a few days. Wonder why people just leave their stuff, instead packing up , taking and selling what they don't want.

So I resubscribed and things seemed a little better for awhile, then right back to it. I once abandoned an apartment in my hometown, (I was pretty young and immature) I'd gotten a job in another state and would stay in a hotel during the work week. I started spending less and less time at home. Eventually I moved in with a roommate near my job and she didn't have space for most of my furniture, instead of going through the hassle of packing and moving I just replaced everything I needed and never went back for the rest. Obviously I didn't own the apartment so I'm sure some poor cleaning crew had to get rid of all my stuff for me but if it had a been a home I'd inherited or something it might have just remained untouched and decaying full of all my furniture and belongings. Sometimes I wonder if that's the case with some of these big houses full of stuff. Maybe a descendant inherited the property and didn't care enough to deal with the hassle of packing everything up

The floor is incredible. I can see in the evening, all the family is settled down. Mom or granmom is sewing and fixing clothing etc. Dad talking about the world's happenings and kissing and hugging each child off to bed.
Fantastic! Charming house... I believe it was the house of the grandparents and they had all those beds for when their family came to visit... grandchildren etc... I am sure the Agent selling the house will know the history. If you find out what had to the families of these homes it would make it soooo much better!
just what I was thinking... Grandparents were the ones that got old and left but I wonder why children and grandchildren did not come at least for photos. When my Grandma went to the nursing home we cleaned her house and everyone shared the photos and some mementos she wanted us to have.
Very true indeed. Beautiful place lotsof vintage Crotchet laces etc. I love crotchet and use to do a lot of small items. The owner went off to Paris was 84 yrs old and may have dird by now. Caveat- i appreciate taking a moment to explain that you do the very best you can to research your places of exploration by talking to local folk and due diligence on learning the history of a given property. Hats off. You are doing your very best. It is however at times comical and highly entertaining when you give yourself creative artist's license to fill in the gaps. I am 65 yrs old with vast experience in life and as a building contractor, realtor and bronze sculptor/artist with an appreciation of the classics and nice things. I know that life experience or the lack thereof plays a large part in your effectiveness in bringing your audience a satisfactory presentation. As I have said before, the more you learn about architecture, finishes, art, history or bring on board those experts who know... the more credible you become. Not sure if this is a summer side hustle in and around university or a solid career pursuit. One thing for sure, unlike a vast majority of your Millennial peers, you have emerged from your parents basement, discarded your dirty skivvies and are actually exploring the world around you triumphantly. Hi Lesley, good that you 2 clean out car before leaving hotel & sad you couldn`t swim in hotel because of Covid. Shame it was raining & cooler & finally finding a door that`s open to go in & stay dry. Here today Thursday 24 February 2022 we are to get snow again our 4th one this month here in Rantoul, Illinois USA. Wow, you are right so much left behind, where did they go? Wow, 9 children!! Wow again 2010, the house looks perfect like someone could just move in, did one of the children still own it? Ok, now see ivy trying to come in kitchen & cobwebs from sitting but this is minor things so far that can be fixed, but it is the window that doesn`t close is why vines come in. As for the kitchen being small for 11 people it`s ok as long as there is a dining room to sit! Here in USA they still sell that knife rack. Wow such beautiful pictures, something the family should of taken & yes I love rocking chairs too!! I only knew Holland had wooden shoes, so this was very interesting to know they are in other places! The old radio I have never seen before & has record player on top this is amazing! That open area on both sides is called a Loft here! They had 2 cats as pets, I have 4 cats all are indoor cats! You saw a Howe sewing machine, I never heard of that either, but looked it up on Google said this man Elias Howe Jr. Born- Spencer, Massachusetts 9 July 1819 to 3 October 1867 Died age 48 Brooklyn, New York ( died of Gout & Massive Blood Clot) was an American inventor of the modern Lockstitch Sewing Machine & Involvement in inventing the zipper. The stuffed animal on the couch is called Lamb not sheep. More people in pictures but covered in Cobwebs, cobwebs come from house sitting long no movement, but spiderwebs sit in corners usually windows & will see a tiny hole in web where spider lives. The tiny pictures in the box in the dresser is called Slides. You would think out of 9 children one as a adult would come back & get the belongings of everything, unless the parents died in a car crash & all small children & baby were moved to a relative far away & the children were never told where house was? Now the 2nd display cabinet that does not have anything under it is called a Curio cabinet here! Maybe the dining room table that sat 8 only might of had 6 children, parents & 3 babies that either slept & got bottles to feed on or had High Chairs to sit & eat from? They kept the cigarette pack away from the children very high up so that they couldn`t reach it! Beautiful Blue Parents Bedroom, so pretty!! The stove is so beautiful with the fine detail & I never seen this before! That is not a tool box, it is a sewing box cabinet to have different color threads, buttons, zippers, etc. Plus it sells in stores, this sewing box cabinet. They still have CD`s here & still sell that rack here or Amazon online store. That looks like a very expensive coffee machine!! The little fence you called it for children not to fall down the stairs is actually called a Gate, & yes they still do this here in many different styles! Again I looked up Vibrante sewing machine on Google....invented it by Allen B. Wilson in 1850 they sell a newer version of this machine in white with red called Baby Lock Vibrant !! 10 beds & 1 Baby Crib makes 11 !! Ok, in 2021 you 2 heard this house is For Sale, good because it is move in ready, with minor details...getting rid of vines, fixing windows & possibly looking at the roof!! This to me was the Best One you have shown me!! You take such good care of everything in detail, & talk about so much & hope my items will help on others you see...it was a great adventure !! I see a lot of doilies and bedspreads and tablecloths that had been made by someone. They take a lot of time and are very memorable. They have been crocheted and are a great needlework.
I love this place! It is sooo pristine & homey!!!! Sooo many treasures! Sad that the children don’t come back for the pictures & air looms😞 Those will never be replaced! Such a wonderful, loving, well maintained family lived here! Whomever gets this house will be sooo very lucky!!! Structurally it looks sound, so mostly cosmetic updates need done! Can you imagine all the love and joy when this house was full? Many meals enjoyed around the table, even the little chairs were at the table. For me I believe the whole family lived life to the fullest. All being creative and artistic and encouraged to live life, enjoy every day and they had to be extremely close. Obviously, they all had school and studies as well. I’m sure all the children had their share of chores as well. With beds made and all the clutter for each to have their own style and picked up after themselves because the house appeared so full, but it was organized and not like a hoarders house. All the dirt, dust and cobwebs were caused due to being abandoned. They made the best of what they had, and definitely had a lot of fun and entertaining each other as well as entertaining themselves. What a fun way to grow up! Would be interesting to see what their lives are like now. Hopefully, why they left did not involve something tragic... I would love to know more! I have watched many of your videos, but I believe this one was the most touching and heart wrenching to watch. As a mother who has children and the start of grandchildren, I can't imagine having that many memories and moments lived under one roof and then just taking off and leaving it all behind. Since the man was obviously much older than the woman, I wonder if he might have past away and they were financially stretched and had to leave. Otherwise, I hate to say it, something horrible could have happened, but I hope not. That would just be the worst! Thank you for taking us to this amazing place where a family once loved and lived happily together, until they didn't. 🥺

The house is indeed for sale. Bruno is the real estate agent & one of the daughters lives in Paris. She will only take a few pieces of furniture, but the rest will be sold with the house. He told me that they liked going to flea markets, which is why there is so much stuff. I saw Explomo's video & he was given access, after being caught, by Bruno & was even invited to dine with him. 👍💜🇺🇸🙋♀️

The “tool box” is a sewing box that each side keeps opening up and out to the sides and holds much of the supplies for the one doing the sewing. So many family photos it makes one wonder what happened to this family? This home gives off a loving family vibe. I hope wherever they are they are at peace❤️

What is very strange, is that all the memories are there, the pictures, the objects. Very weird, if I move from my home to another house I grab all the pictures and memories with me, for sure. Looks like something sad happened there. Those people loved to treasure every momment, and they just lived there to rotten? Great job, I like your way to view things and show details to us.

@@theresa_lili that is not Necessarily true in all cases. Plus why would he come back and pack after the stuff sat there for years and years. There is massive amounts of spider webs and dust. He probably doesn't ever want any of it again for some sad reason.

Love this happy house. You can tell lots of good memories here. So sad where did this family go? Let' s pray they are safe somewhere. A family this large and no one to come for the belongings seems really off. That sewing box brought back memories for. me. My grandmother who is passed had a sewing box exactly like the one you saw. Wow had not seen one like that in over 30 some years. Someone in this home was a fabulous artist. And had very sweet things. All the jars vases and pretty boxes were great. Really good find and wonderful storytelling once again. Your way of doing and showing these homes is terrific. You guys are awesome. Always enjoyable to watch and listen to your take on the findings. Leslie, I think the Magician Roze was her grandfather. The poster is 1930's, the pictures of him are late 1940's. Her modelling pics are late 1970's. The sad part is that I do not see a husband present anymore. No adult male artifacts. There is certainly more to the story.

I'm guessing that the elderly couple that you are seeing in the photos are probably the people who owned that property. The photos of the woman modeling was probably a daughter or grand daughter. All the children are probably grand children and great grand children. The decorating is very reminiscent of a much older generation. Sadly, maybe the owners passed away suddenly. Sad that everything has been left behind and forgotten by family.
I agree with that analogy. The grandparents lived there and all the photos are of their children and grandbabies. It's still sad to know that once that home was filled with a big family with warmth and love and now they're gone and the house is just fading into obscurity.
Maureno from Explomo uploaded a video about this place recently, the owner is still alive (he's in his 80s), his wife has passed away. Some of the pictures are from when his wife modeled and the ones near the fireplace are from his daughter modeling. The pics of the little kids are the owner's kids.

I agree. The tradition in France was to put pictures of yourself and your wife/husband above your bed, not of your parents (that would be creepy !). The actual owner could be the son, or son-in-law of the old lady seen in the pictures, he may have inherited the house after she passed away.
Plus the letters and one drawing are for "Moune" or "Maminou" (?), which means "Grand-ma".

Exactly! I don’t understand this ridiculous adoption of the phony super smooth voice for the videos and the constant staging of items in the home and embroidering, or in most cases just plain wholesale creation, of a storyline. The natural voice and the lovely houses themselves are enough to satisfy all but the most juvenile of viewers and anything more is totally unnecessary. Alternatively, they could actually be different and do a bit of VERY basic research and just tell the truth instead of a fanciful fairy tale. If not, they could just tell the truth and say they know nothing whatsoever about the owners! Counting one big bed and nine smaller ones does NOT mean a family had 9 children. 🙄
Yah, those older places a lot of times did only have twin beds. They never had as much cloths. So closets were smaller. The xtra rooms, were used for company, they traveled, to visit and stayed a few days. Wonder why people just leave their stuff, instead packing up , taking and selling what they don't want.

I once abandoned an apartment in my hometown, (I was pretty young and immature) I'd gotten a job in another state and would stay in a hotel during the work week. I started spending less and less time at home. Eventually I moved in with a roommate near my job and she didn't have space for most of my furniture, instead of going through the hassle of packing and moving I just replaced everything I needed and never went back for the rest. Obviously I didn't own the apartment so I'm sure some poor cleaning crew had to get rid of all my stuff for me but if it had a been a home I'd inherited or something it might have just remained untouched and decaying full of all my furniture and belongings. Sometimes I wonder if that's the case with some of these big houses full of stuff. Maybe a descendant inherited the property and didn't care enough to deal with the hassle of packing everything up

The floor is incredible. I can see in the evening, all the family is settled down. Mom or granmom is sewing and fixing clothing etc. Dad talking about the world's happenings and kissing and hugging each child off to bed.
Fantastic! Charming house... I believe it was the house of the grandparents and they had all those beds for when their family came to visit... grandchildren etc... I am sure the Agent selling the house will know the history. If you find out what had to the families of these homes it would make it soooo much better!
just what I was thinking... Grandparents were the ones that got old and left but I wonder why children and grandchildren did not come at least for photos. When my Grandma went to the nursing home we cleaned her house and everyone shared the photos and some mementos she wanted us to have.

Caveat- i appreciate taking a moment to explain that you do the very best you can to research your places of exploration by talking to local folk and due diligence on learning the history of a given property. Hats off. You are doing your very best. It is however at times comical and highly entertaining when you give yourself creative artist's license to fill in the gaps. I am 65 yrs old with vast experience in life and as a building contractor, realtor and bronze sculptor/artist with an appreciation of the classics and nice things. I know that life experience or the lack thereof plays a large part in your effectiveness in bringing your audience a satisfactory presentation. As I have said before, the more you learn about architecture, finishes, art, history or bring on board those experts who know... the more credible you become. Not sure if this is a summer side hustle in and around university or a solid career pursuit. One thing for sure, unlike a vast majority of your Millennial peers, you have emerged from your parents basement, discarded your dirty skivvies and are actually exploring the world around you triumphantly. Hi Lesley, good that you 2 clean out car before leaving hotel & sad you couldn`t swim in hotel because of Covid. Shame it was raining & cooler & finally finding a door that`s open to go in & stay dry. Here today Thursday 24 February 2022 we are to get snow again our 4th one this month here in Rantoul, Illinois USA. Wow, you are right so much left behind, where did they go? Wow, 9 children!! Wow again 2010, the house looks perfect like someone could just move in, did one of the children still own it? Ok, now see ivy trying to come in kitchen & cobwebs from sitting but this is minor things so far that can be fixed, but it is the window that doesn`t close is why vines come in. As for the kitchen being small for 11 people it`s ok as long as there is a dining room to sit! Here in USA they still sell that knife rack. Wow such beautiful pictures, something the family should of taken & yes I love rocking chairs too!! I only knew Holland had wooden shoes, so this was very interesting to know they are in other places! The old radio I have never seen before & has record player on top this is amazing! That open area on both sides is called a Loft here! They had 2 cats as pets, I have 4 cats all are indoor cats! You saw a Howe sewing machine, I never heard of that either, but looked it up on Google said this man Elias Howe Jr. Born- Spencer, Massachusetts 9 July 1819 to 3 October 1867 Died age 48 Brooklyn, New York ( died of Gout & Massive Blood Clot) was an American inventor of the modern Lockstitch Sewing Machine & Involvement in inventing the zipper. The stuffed animal on the couch is called Lamb not sheep. More people in pictures but covered in Cobwebs, cobwebs come from house sitting long no movement, but spiderwebs sit in corners usually windows & will see a tiny hole in web where spider lives. The tiny pictures in the box in the dresser is called Slides. You would think out of 9 children one as a adult would come back & get the belongings of everything, unless the parents died in a car crash & all small children & baby were moved to a relative far away & the children were never told where house was? Now the 2nd display cabinet that does not have anything under it is called a Curio cabinet here! Maybe the dining room table that sat 8 only might of had 6 children, parents & 3 babies that either slept & got bottles to feed on or had High Chairs to sit & eat from? They kept the cigarette pack away from the children very high up so that they couldn`t reach it! Beautiful Blue Parents Bedroom, so pretty!! The stove is so beautiful with the fine detail & I never seen this before! That is not a tool box, it is a sewing box cabinet to have different color threads, buttons, zippers, etc. Plus it sells in stores, this sewing box cabinet. They still have CD`s here & still sell that rack here or Amazon online store. That looks like a very expensive coffee machine!! The little fence you called it for children not to fall down the stairs is actually called a Gate, & yes they still do this here in many different styles! Again I looked up Vibrante sewing machine on Google....invented it by Allen B. Wilson in 1850 they sell a newer version of this machine in white with red called Baby Lock Vibrant !! 10 beds & 1 Baby Crib makes 11 !! Ok, in 2021 you 2 heard this house is For Sale, good because it is move in ready, with minor details...getting rid of vines, fixing windows & possibly looking at the roof!! This to me was the Best One you have shown me!! You take such good care of everything in detail, & talk about so much & hope my items will help on others you see...it was a great adventure !! I see a lot of doilies and bedspreads and tablecloths that had been made by someone. They take a lot of time and are very memorable. They have been crocheted and are a great needlework.

I love this place! It is sooo pristine & homey!!!! Sooo many treasures! Sad that the children don’t come back for the pictures & air looms😞 Those will never be replaced! Such a wonderful, loving, well maintained family lived here! Whomever gets this house will be sooo very lucky!!! Structurally it looks sound, so mostly cosmetic updates need done! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property with us Leslie, I loved it ❤️

Can you imagine all the love and joy when this house was full? Many meals enjoyed around the table, even the little chairs were at the table. For me I believe the whole family lived life to the fullest. All being creative and artistic and encouraged to live life, enjoy every day and they had to be extremely close. Obviously, they all had school and studies as well. I’m sure all the children had their share of chores as well. With beds made and all the clutter for each to have their own style and picked up after themselves because the house appeared so full, but it was organized and not like a hoarders house. All the dirt, dust and cobwebs were caused due to being abandoned. They made the best of what they had, and definitely had a lot of fun and entertaining each other as well as entertaining themselves. What a fun way to grow up! Would be interesting to see what their lives are like now. Hopefully, why they left did not involve something tragic... I would love to know more!
