Great discoveries happen once in a while, our favorite thing to do while exploring is to search on Google Maps for abandoned places, and this time we got lucky and found another gem in the countryside of France. Not much is known about the abandonment of this grand estate and the disappearance of the Family Grie that lived inside it. Around 5 years ago they left their immaculate family home behind with everything still in there. Nature is slowly taking over the surrounding area around the mansion, and it has a very dystopian and mysterious feeling when you walk around its grounds. I am eager to discover the history behind this place and I am going to take you today with me on this fascinating adventure, are you ready?

I just wish there is some way to find out what happened to this family. It drives me crazy to see such a beautiful house and not know what happened. Nobody just walks away unless something catastrophic happened. I don’t understand why someone can’t trace the lineage of the ancestors. That house needs to be put up for auction so it can receive the love it deserves.💗

What keeps people from just finding these homes and staying in them since they are just left behind? In America anything left like that would be vandalized or things would be stolen. It is amazing how those homes just seem frozen in time. Beautiful.

There is some rule where if you live in an abandoned property for so long it genuinely doesn’t have an owner registered you can take it over. I think a lot of our properties do you get squatters but these places are probably out in the countryside where squatters don’t bother going as much I think they stick more to big cities

this house looks in pretty good shape considering it is suppose to be abandoned. I don't think it is, it's just vacant but there must be an owner somewhere. This lad makes these videos and monetises them. It is still called trespassing, and is illegal. But yes I agree the windows and doors should be shut when he exists. It just makes it easier for future vandals to break in and steal.

This is one of the most impressive homes you’ve done. I would bet they were involved in the wedding business. I would say they provided a place for the bride to prepare on her wedding day.
Oh man! A BAT!!!! I had one get stuck in my long hair years ago at the ocean. It was terrifying hearing it squeak in my ears! UGH!!
This was a great explore, Leslie! Loved it! Thank you for taking me along young man. (And may I say I love your facial hair design - 😁)

Leslie, what a great estate. Once so beautiful, maybe more than one genetation lived there or someone had a lot of children.
So thoughtful of you to turn off breakers.
I often wonder why the children don't come back and at least get the family pictures.
Maybe the inheritance taxes are way to much. As always i love your explores
And you are always so thoughtful.

I missed the premier but catching it now, what a lovely place, would love to have something like that. Amazing it hasn't been vandalized, hopefully it won't be it's to beautiful to get destroyed. With all those rooms they may have had a bed and breakfast, or a honeymoon get away place, the bat was priceless.

Awesome explore, you find the best places and I love how you build the story as you describe everything to us, I can picture the children playing in the yard and the family going out for Sunday drives in those lovely cars. The house looks so tidy as if there were a family living there as early as last week, how do they just walk away from all of this. I'm always surprised by the fact that people don't find these places and take everything of value, very sad when they do though. I love seeing all they have left behind. Thanks for sharing this amazing place with us.

I truly enjoy your videos. You guys are so respectful. I hope when you come across houses like this you don't tell anyone where they are. And it's so disheartening to see houses destroyed by people for no reason. I know in my own family. In the medical profession you get called out to work in a hospital another country. And you can be gone 3 to 5 years. I can't even imagine coming back home and finding my house destroyed or emptied. Some of them are obviously abandoned. Thanks again for sharing your videos

Hello, another great adventure find. After watching and seeing all the wedding photos, and the property so huge, the antique cars, it makes me think that the people that lived there might have rented space and cars for wedding photos, possibly rented the rooms for dressing to take photos. Some rooms looked like old fashioned parlors, etc. There were probably props outside that were used. Just guessing because really, who would have that many different pictures of wedding couples photos in one home. Fun and interesting video as always!! 💖

Wooow Lesley, That is again such a wonderful country mansion, you were able to find in France! I was just watching your video
twice in order to see some parts of your as usual wonderful video more in detail. - I loved your wonderfully formulated introduction
combined with beautiful images. - Haha.. seeing you on the kids swing is also so lovely, - a typical Lesleyisch moment, my friend!
It was indeed incredible to see how well preserved everything in these rooms still was looking. Simply amazing! - The two cars
were such an unexpected surprise. That huge black car would be a very rare and probably highly valuable object for a collector
of classic cars. I think that car has been built somewhere in the late 1930-ies or probably 1940-ies. Also this car with the
red interior dates probably back to the mid to late 1950-ies, as I presume. - I also admire your great respect for that property, which
showed so nicely, when you were switching off the electric current switches. - Even the bats were awesome, and here I loved your
respect for these animals as well, how you provided for them a possibility to fly out of the mansion. - Thank you for taking us viewers
through that wonderful location in France. I enjoyed watching every second of your video! - Stay safe, dear bro, many hugs and blessings.
Peace and kindest regards to you and to Maureno.
Wishing you a lot of unforgettable moments and wonderful new impressions on your grand tour.

You really need to STOP checking to see if the water is on. Plumbing fixtures have seals in them. If not used they can dry out. When you turn that knob it may break the dried out seals. Those seals will hold the water until broken. In some cases they may fail on their own. That happens and the only way to stop it is to find the water shut off. If that's even possible. Its just not necessary. You appear to show respect for these properties. Don't take the chance.

I see what seems to be a large tank in the attic and suspect it might be part of a gravity-fed water system, which is so unusual. That red pump in the basement may have pumped water into the attic tank, which makes sense given the single bathroom and individual sinks. Infrastructure is so fascinating!! Wish we could solve all the puzzles. Thanks so much for doing these fabulous videos.

What a beautiful home!! I believe that all of the wedding photos are loving family members...or maybe the people who lived in the house were wedding photographers and believed totally in the act of marriage and wanted to instill how strongly they believed the act of marriage is in their lives, that they hung so many pictures of weddings so they could immerse the children in their beliefs and bring them up to respect and honor the marriage act. Thank you for sharing the different places you go to and the lives that we can only guess they led. Some of the places either remind me of my grandparents or one of my relatives homes or something in it triggers a memory of days gone by. It's truly a blessing and a comfort to travel with you to these places, if only through the videos.

I increasingly believe how a populace treats abandoned buildings and homes is an indicator of its civility, culture and self respect as a people.
In my birthplace nation this would have unfortunately been utterly ruined and desecrated long ago. This setting is fortunately different.
On a positive note, please keep up the good work and care while publishing this channel. I like to see what once was and hear the stories as well as moderated speculation about the people themselves that once walked in those buildings. Some bittersweet nostalgia.
